About Dr Thomas Heseltine
Dr Thomas Heseltine is a consultant cardiologist with a specialist focus on preventive cardiology and healthy ageing. Based at Venturi Cardiology and Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral, he also holds an NHS post with Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is a founding clinician at Venturi Cardiology and is known for his personalised approach to cardiovascular risk assessment.
Graduating with honours from the University of Liverpool in 2010, Dr Heseltine completed his medical training in the North West before sub-specialising in advanced cardiac imaging. He has expertise in cardiac MRI, coronary CT, echocardiography, and cutting-edge techniques such as CaRi-Heart® and coronary calcium scoring. His clinical interests include diagnosing and managing heart failure, hypertension, chest pain, and early signs of cardiovascular disease.

Excellent. Highly professional and clear advice and guidance given
I consulted Dr Thomas Heseltine following a suspected migraine aura/TIA to investigate my heart health. The experience was excellent from start to finish. During the consultation, he performed both an ECG and an echocardiogram, and arranged for a Zio patch and a CT scan to ensure a thorough investigation. He is a specialist who truly listens and analyses every detail, yet explains everything in clear, layman's terms. I left the clinic feeling incredibly reassured and confident that I am in the best possible hands. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thorough and compassionate cardiologist.

I saw Mr Heseltine after being referred due to a low pulse rate. Some initial tests led to me being offered a cardiac mri to clarify imaging. Everything was so speedy, Mr Heseltine explained everything clearly and reassured me regarding why clarification. Everything turned out to be fine, what was amazing was the personal contact via email to arrange fast response and the caring way he managed my high anxiety with potential issues.
