had a right knee replacement with Mr. Sam Rajaratnam just over two weeks ago on 3rd November 2025, and what I had feared would be a difficult and painful operation turned out to be completely painless. Sam is extremely kind, patient and reassuring — perfect for someone as nervous as I was. I had delayed doing this surgery for a year and a half and even cancelled the operation twice before finally going through with it! Mr. Rajaratnam has built an outstanding team, including an exceptionally experienced anaesthetist, Dr. Barry Philips; a kind and highly competent nurse consultant, Ms. Christine Howis; and an excellent senior physiotherapist, Felicitas Gatti, who visits me at home to guide my post-operative exercises. I was also extremely impressed by all the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic hospital, who provided exceptional care throughout my stay. Whilst at the Cleveland, Sam visited me daily, and even came in today after my staples were removed to check on my progress. Mr. Rajaratnam’s expertise is evident—he has performed over 7,000 knee replacements—and the level of care and support I received was extraordinary. I was expecting a significant increase in pain once the stronger medication stopped a week after surgery, but to my surprise, I remained completely pain-free. I am extremely grateful to Sam and his wonderful team. I’ll be back for my other knee as soon as I’m up and running again!

From our first meeting to operation days & post op appointments he has been clear in what to expect regarding op, how things went after & how progress is going. He has quite literally changed my life as I am now able to walk without pain & the “waddle”. Also my husband’s life too as we can get back to doing things we enjoy & he doesn’t see me in pain anymore. I initially booked in to see Dr Lafina as I wanted to be more proactive with my health and wellbeing. She provides a fantastic service, where she brings great professionalism, expertise, attention to detail to the individual in front of her, and genuine care. Everything you'd want from someone overlooking your general health. With regards to my own health screening, the whole process was extensive but very smooth and I was quickly provided actionable outcomes. The overall clinic experience was great, the clinic staff were very welcoming and helpful and the clinic space was of high standard. As someone into their health and fitness, and as a practitioner in a different field of the health and wellness industry, I would highly recommend Deia Health and Dr Lafina.

Mr Chilcott is calm, gentle and an excellent surgeon. I am 2 weeks post op (full abdominal hysterectomy, removal of fibroids and oophorectomy). He explained the surgery in full in the initial consultation and worked together with the hospital to ensure i had all the necessary information needed in the lead up to the operation and discussed what would be needed post operation (HRT, blood thinners for an existing blood condition) to ensure i got back to full health. Operation day was a success and I'm left with a very neat scar. He came to visit me daily as I recovered in hospital and was accessible for any question (via the nurses or his wonderful PA, Paula) at any time. He's kind, flexible and very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I reached out to Nadira at one of the hardest times of my life and literally had no support/help from her whatsoever. As she continually reminds everyone she is a full time mother and a full time NHS GP I don’t understand how she thinks she has the time to open a menopause clinic as she has shown me. Takes weeks to reply to any correspondence. Also she certainly has NHS GP mentality on any HRT. She has no up to date knowledge and is very nervous and unsure whilst in a consultation with her. She quoted lots of things that were wrong and outdated as new evidence has suggested. I would not waste your money and go to Menopause specialist who is only doing this full time.

His expertise immediately cut through the complexity of my symptoms and provided the crucial diagnostic clarity that set me on the right path after years of uncertainty. Crucially, him and his team were incredibly empathetic and reassuring throughout the whole process, which put me completely at ease and made a stressful experience manageable. He is a brilliant doctor who genuinely cares. A special mention to Karen, Dr Besherdas’ wonderful secretary—her service is excellent. She is kind, efficient, and made all the arrangements seamless. They are a fantastic team!

My visit to Duchy Hospital for a hip resurfacing was a wondreful experienece and the total care and attention I recieved was first class. Every step of the way was clearly explained and the operation and two day stay on the ward meant that I was ready to go home to recuperate and my progress over the last five weeks means that I can return to a 'normal' life with no pain in my right hip. Mr Norton is an excellent surgeon and his attention to patient welfare is exemplary. I recommend the Ramsay service to anybody thinking about surgery.

I didn't find the hygienist very supportive when I struggled to breathe during the appointment. I had to signal to her to stop several times because the fluid in my mouth meant I couldn't swallow and made it feel like I couldn't breathe. When I said this, she just said, 'aren't you breathing through your nose?'. She also didn't offer any apology for not having the diamond airflow polishing available, despite me saying that I was really disappointed about this as it was my main reason for booking the appointment.

I found the admin staff very friendly and helpful in answering my questions, and the two people who assessed me were also very friendly and did their utmost to make me feel comfortable and reassure me. The report is clear and thorough - the only thing is that it took 3-4 weeks longer to arrive than the original estimated time and while I understand that the team is very busy I would have really appreciated a note to say that there would be a delay and roughly how long it might be.
