Everything was very good. The staff were necessarily strict, balanced with just the right amount of humour and friendliness. I felt comfortable to go to them, and the Nurses, if I needed extra support and they always had time to listen. All the staff, from whichever ward, greeted you with a smile and hello whenever they passed by, which really helped create a community atmosphere. The staff on my own ward were amazing, the way they remembered each patients name. Medicines were administered on time every day, unfailingly. Blood tests were virtually painless. Sessions were relaxed buy insightful. Music, art and yoga were a nice break from the program and were useful for us to explore our potential creatively. Having phone time restrictions turned out to be a blessing as there were some long sections of time outside of the set timetable, in which we had to occupy ourselves. There is a lounge with a large screen, various games and books. There is also a courtyard where you can get fresh air and smoke if you would like to. A great place to meet others and have a chat to wind down after an intense session. I found myself reading, writing and drawing and have resolved to enforce my own phone time restrictions when I return home. It feels so much better to produce a piece of work or read something and increase my knowledge, rather than scrolling through my phone! So, good habits have been learnt here. The food was lovely and there was plenty of options and variety. Something for every palate. I feel I was treated with utmost care and understanding and I felt safe. Th...
