Patients describe Nightingale Hospital staff and clinicians as friendly, helpful, kind, supportive, and caring. Reviews highlight clean, comfortable rooms. Group therapy and one-to-one sessions help patients recover. The hospital provides support for mental health needs, especially depression, anxiety, and addiction.
From the moment i stepped in the building i felt safe but most of all it was clear that everyone here from reception staff, admissions team, cleaners, caterers, therapist all wanted to help you get better and went out of their way to do so. Therapy was fantastic - my advise jump in and take in as much as you can.
Staff were all very kind considering they are tasked with carrying out such a complex treatment plan. Bethany Hinkin, a former inpatient in my cohort, made an excellent patient guide which I hope is printed and given to new patients upon arrival. I think that patients, especially in the EDU, should have their expectations managed during intake, explaining that this stay is a management tool for an acute state rather than rehabilitation. I believe that underdanstanding this would in part help resistance to the process; your time here will end.
I was only on mainly to do ECT. Staff were lovely as always, respectful and friendly. I struggle with the vibe of such a place as reinforces my condition - heart break leading to extreme depression. I can’t beat this :)
An incredible experience. I feel stronger than ever and confident that I have stopped drinking alcohol. The staff are incredible- professional and so friendly. Thank you all. I will miss you. Charlie X
The facility was all excellent and the staff aswell I am definitely glad I came to this one
I was admitted to eating disorder unit at the nightingale hospital by my consultant Dr Murphy who I hold in high regard and would recommend.
The hospital is a safe space, the staff and other patients are so welcoming and supportive. The beds are really comfortable, food is nice. It’s the perfect place to take the metaphorical ‘foot off the gas’ when you’re at your most vulnerable. I have ADHD, ASD, CPTSD and severe anxiety and have felt supported throughout my stay. Some of the sessions don’t tend to give you the answers you’re looking for. Like teaching you the principles about not getting stressed, say, for missing a train. In my world, missing a train is the least of my worries. Survival is my biggest worry when my demons come out to play because rational thought goes out of the window. Luckily I have a brilliant psychiatrist who talks to me factually, respectfully and really understands what I’m going through. I’m trying my hardest to put everything I’ve learned into practice. Future me deserves it.
I was overall very satisfied with the therapy and the nurses in particular.
