About Dr Elza Eapen
Dr. Elza Eapen is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of expertise in general adult psychiatry. She is featured on the specialist register of the General Medical Council and holds a Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, having completed specialist training in psychiatry in 1984.
Dr. Eapen began her career working closely with the late Professor Linford Rees, Past President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Between 1989 and 1992, she served as the Medical Director of Huntecombe Manor Hospital, gaining invaluable leadership experience. Since then, Dr. Eapen has established a successful practice in central London, where she specialises in work-related stress disorder, affective disorders (including major depressive disorders and bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, and psychopharmacology.
Dr. Eapen is approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act and is also an approved clinician under the Act. Her work extends to liaison psychiatry, where she conducts patient assessments in general hospitals, including The London Clinic, upon referral from colleagues in other medical and surgical specialties.
With her extensive experience and ongoing commitment to professional development, Dr. Eapen is in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and maintains an active role in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). She is also recognised by all private medical insurance providers and is trusted by many to deliver expert psychiatric care.

Dr Eapen is an outstanding clinician, due to her commitment and care she shows to her patients and consistently going above and beyond. For example, I had several visits from her after 9pm. Dr Eapen also worked to tweak my drugs and I know feel we have the right mix.

I've been a patient of Dr Eapen for over 7 years. I honestly couldn't be happier. There is no doubt in mind she is one of the best psychiatrists in the UK. I have had interactions with over 20 health professionals in regards to mental health and Dr Eapen is by far the most competent. She is an excellent listener and her memory is remarkable, she really takes the time to understand all aspects of your life and doesn't haven narrow tunnel vision on a specific issue. She is very responsive to email and I really like that I can check in between sessions if I have any queries. She has pragmatic and compassionate approach and I would go as far to say she has made a very meaningful contribution to my wellbeing and given me the confidence to pursue new and difficult life choices.
