Op ok. Not happy with post care. No one asked if I could get on and off the loo. I happen to have a radiator and a wash basin to hold onto otherwise I could not have managed. The first lot of exercises were marked with number of times etc but after that no clear cut info. Rang physio who answered a day and half later and did not appear to know very much such as that one should have been crossed off and don’t do that one. As for the last 15 she told me to choose what I wanted to do! I am coming up to 6 weeks and still have a lot of stiffness and pain and my surgery have referred me to my local hospital for physio. I feel I have been left to get on with it now that they have my money. Staff were ok.

Excellent service on lead up and days of surgery/hospital care. Little disappointed in follow up advice but there is a number to call if you feel discomfort. Altogether good value for private surgery.

Can't praise them enough, particularly the surgeon who performed my inguinoscrotal hernia operation. He left me with no bruising or numbness and little pain despite what I had read to the contrary on the Internet.

I cant rate the service highly enough. From the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly and they are so efficient. The consultant, nurses, X-Ray team and reception staff are incredible. The whole experience is pleasurable and this is how healthcare should be.

My admission was handled quickly and efficiently by a wonderful nurse, Rachel. She settled me in and dealt with all the initial administrative issues in a clear and efficient manner. She was friendly and welcoming and put me at ease before my surgery. I later met with the surgeon and then the anaesthatis, who both checked I knew what I was there for and fully explained their roles, which I thought was again reassuring and professional. Overall, my experience with Practice Plus Group, and specifically the staff at Shepton Mallet, was first class. I would thoroughly recommend it to those thinking of going down the private route. Thank you!

All staff were very efficient and friendly, I can't fault my treatment, still have follow up appointment to attend.

I rate my stay in Shepton Mallett hospital as first class.The surgeon and his theatre team,all the nursing staff including the physio were wonderful.A hospital o be very proud of.
