I was very well looked after, the whole staff were friendly and reassuring. Each one if the surgical team came and introduced themselves, explaining clearly what their role was in the operation. The nurses were very caring and nothing was too much trouble. Once in recovery, the whole team came back one by one to see how I was doing. The whole experience was way above what I was expecting.

Thank you to all the surgical team and staff involved. The timescale and flexibility were very much appreciated. Unepected overnight stay was well managed.

I was made very comfortable and had excellent care. Everything was explained to me along the way. I was treated with respect and empathy.

As a private self pay patient I have had cataract surgery to both eyes, the left eye on 24th February 2026 and the right eye on 21st April 2026. Both operations were performed by Consultant Ophthalmologist Jonas Laursen. My initial consultation was with Mr Laursen who explained everything well and recommended which lens would best suit my needs. I am pleased to say that both operations went smoothly with no complications. Mr Laursen and all the staff in the operating theatre were very friendly and made me feel as comfortable as possible. After the surgery I did feel somewhat "hurried" by the nurses who gave me the aftercare instructions and eye drops to take home with me.
