Mr Malcolm Podmore is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in adult lower limb procedures and trauma care. Mr Podmore completed his undergraduate medical training at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy and Evolution followed by his medical degree (MBBS) in 1987. He subsequently undertook specialist higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London. Upon completing his training, he was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training (CCST) and gained Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS and FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics).
Throughout his career, Mr Podmore has developed particular expertise in primary hip and knee replacement surgery, utilising cemented, uncemented, and hybrid techniques. His clinical scope also includes knee arthroscopy, foot and ankle surgery such as bunion corrections and toe deformities, and complex fracture management. Mr Podmore places strong emphasis on clear communication and collaborative care, ensuring patients are fully informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.
