Excellent information and reassurance with encouragement going forward
The entire team from Mr Heaton the surgeon to the nurses on the ward not forgetting the Out Patients nurses, physiotherapists and administrators was top rate in care and consideration. Considering the knee replacement operation was challenging in my case, I felt reassured and at ease with the whole experience.
I was quite anxious at the prospect of needing a hip replacement and put it off for as long as I could. But when I met Sam Heaton he was very approachable, kind and reassuring. He made me feel confident that I was in good hands. On the day, he and his team looked after me really well and did a brilliant job with my hip. Eights weeks on and I am completely pain free and have my life back. If I ever need the other hip doing I would definitely go back to Sam.
Every thing was explained explicitly which helps with having surgery
Very professional and a steamless process from initial consultation to completion of surgery.
After being very worried about a full knee replacement, I can only say how pleased I am I had it done. I was lucky enough to have Mr. Samuel Heaton as my surgeon. He was extremely approachable and always made me feel he had time for me and my questions. I can not thank him enough.. The care I had before and afterwards with all who cared for me was excellent.
I have had both knees replaced by Mr Heaton at the Sulis Hospital , one in May 2025 and the second in October 2025.During the first consultation all my questions were answered honestly and with a full explanation as to what to expect and the risks of surgery. The treatment I have received from himself and his team has been exemplary and I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone who is looking for knee surgery
I had a hip replacement last week and the whole experience was much better than I feared. I spent 1 night in hospital and since then I haven't needed any painkillers. I can already walk with confidence.
Really pleased with my 8 week post op appointment, all very positive . Would highly recommend Mr Heaton to anyone looking for a surgeon to perform hip replacement surgery.
Mr.Heaton was very professional and thorough. The surgery was very successful. I am no longer in pain. The hospital staff were helpful and polite. I enjoyed my stay .
