Mr Mujahid El-Deen

Mr Mujahid El-Deen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in trauma and orthopaedics. He specialises in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in primary and revision joint replacement, including robotic-assisted procedures.

He completed his basic surgical training in Middlesbrough before undertaking higher specialist orthopaedic training in Liverpool. He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2006. Mr El-Deen has undertaken several subspecialty fellowships, including primary and revision hip replacement in Liverpool, primary and revision knee replacement in Glasgow with training in robotic-assisted surgery, and hand surgery in Liverpool. He also gained a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Engineering, focusing on implant design, biomechanics of joint replacement and long-term outcomes.

Mr El-Deen has a particular interest in complex joint replacement, trauma surgery and the application of new technologies in orthopaedics. At Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital, he offers MAKO™ robotic arm-assisted knee replacement surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, he has held leadership roles involving governance, quality assurance and clinician recruitment. He has contributed to the training of junior doctors and medical students through positions in the NHS, and continues to update his expertise through national and international orthopaedic conferences.
