The procedure was explained to me before it was undertaken. At various stages I confirmed which side I was being operated on and this was also indicated with pen. I was asked if I had any questions which were answered. Explained the process in a way that I could understand. Once I’d come round I was taken up to a recovery ward and the surgeon was able to visit and confirm the procedure I had gone through. I felt totally confident and at ease before the surgery and after. Very good explanations as I am not medically minded. I was really relaxed and put at ease.
