Dr Sasalu Deepak

Dr Sasalu Deepak is a Consultant Cardiologist providing a comprehensive cardiology service with a subspecialist focus on cardiac arrhythmias. He undertakes both non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations for the assessment and management of cardiovascular disease.

He qualified in medicine in India, completing his MBBS at Mysore, before moving to the UK for postgraduate medical training. He began his UK clinical career as a house officer in the Western Isles, Scotland, and later completed membership training (MRCP) in the North West of England, including posts in Burnley and surrounding hospitals.

Dr Deepak undertook specialist cardiology training across multiple centres, including Blackpool, Bury, Crewe, and Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester. He completed his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in the West Midlands Cardiology Training Programme.

His subspecialist training includes complex cardiac device implantation and heart failure management, including cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT-P) and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). He also has experience in electrophysiology, including catheter ablation procedures for arrhythmias and the assessment of palpitations and syncope.

He has additionally worked with specialist heart failure and transplant services in Manchester and Birmingham, contributing to multidisciplinary cardiac care pathways.
