The Portland Hospital was a wonderful place to safely deliver our beautiful baby boy. Our experience was personalised, with very thorough and caring professionals. Our obstetrician, Dr Kenga Sivarajah, was incredibly knowledgable and kind: someone we could trust implicitely and who was there throughout the entire 22 hour labour to ensure a safe delivery. The Anaesthetic team were quick and very effective with the epidural, ensuring that my pain was well managed throughout, with no side effects from the epidural. The nursing staff, both on the delivery ward and maternity ward, were amazing. Ellie and Scarlet were there every step to make sure I was safe and comfortable during labour. On the birth ward, we had regular nurse check ins and a lot of help with breastfeeding positions and latch. There was the option of the night nursery as well, which we elected not to use. The room was very comfortable with a trundle bed for my partner to sleep and a private bathroom (hugely appreciated immediately post birth). The food was excellent, with an extensive menu. The kitchen was a bit slow on some of the orders, but otherwise very good. Overall, our Portland experience was wonderful and we would hope to deliver there again in future.

Dr Ahmed was a true godsend after an incredibly difficult chapter in our fertility journey. We met him in October (2024) after having been at another fertility clinic and enduring multiple challenges and failures. From our very first appointment, his thoughtful, compassionate approach instantly put us at ease. He took the time to tailor a treatment plan specifically to our needs (something we hadn’t experienced before) and made regular checks to monitor progress, adjusting as needed. No question ever felt too small; he welcomed every conversation with patience and genuine care. His deep investment in our journey was clear from the start. We immediately understood how it should be/should’ve been. We are very grateful for his guidance on our fertility journey. To our amazement, we became pregnant after just one round of IVF, and only three months after meeting him. Given all we’d been through, we had expected a much longer road ahead. Now, we’re just four months away from meeting our baby girl, and we couldn’t be more grateful or excited! There are no words adequate to express our appreciation for the exceptional care he gave us!

I had a truly fantastic experience at Reproclinic, and I am incredibly grateful that I chose this clinic for my egg preservation procedure. Their professionalism and expertise were evident throughout, from the careful check-ups leading up to the procedure to the excellent results achieved. I always felt safe, informed, and in truly expert hands. Most of all, my medical coordinator, Manon, was like a fairy - an absolute diamond. She followed every request with dedication and went above and beyond to support me. Her kindness and attention made the entire journey so much easier. I wholeheartedly recommend Reproclinic, a modern clinic in the heart of Barcelona, to anyone considering fertility treatment or egg preservation.

I recently attended a Preconception Appointment with Mr. Adam Jakes at the clinic. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome from Gemma at reception and Mashal kindly assisted with my pre-appointment obs. The clinic itself is immaculate, modern, and beautifully presented. During the consultation, Dr Adam took the time to thoroughly review my medical history and discuss plans for baby number two. We spoke in detail about my Type 1 diabetes, its potential impact on a future pregnancy, and strategies to optimise blood sugar control beforehand. The appointment never felt rushed; Dr Adam provided clear guidance and even highlighted the progress I’ve made, which was a reassuring confidence boost. I would highly recommend Dr Adam, especially for anyone managing a medical condition. The experience was seamless, and I received comprehensive follow-up notes within just a couple of days.

A truly phenomenal experience for me. I am a young woman dealing with intimate issues and pain. It affects my bladder, womb and bowels. As expected it’s an uncomfortable topic to discuss and surrounded by a lot of shame. The team I met with were truly incredible and Mr Freites is a wonderful consultant. I felt very safe and comfortable every step of the way, was reassured constantly and asked for my informed consent for everything. Most importantly, everything that was being done to me was talked through and explained. All the information I was given was detailed, yet clarified to make sure I understood. Finally having a diagnosis, understanding what’s happening to me and what can be done, has filled me with hope again and I am very grateful .

Rebecca and Lisa both looked after me when I was in recently for a gender scan and genetic testing. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. After getting my bloods done I felt a little faint and the care I was given by both of them was outstanding. They also made finding out the gender of our first baby incredibly special & wholesome. I obviously can’t comment on Dr Pakrashi’s medical skills but I found him to be very kind and understanding. He put me at ease, listened well and ran tests that appeared to me to be very appropriate to my condition. He always made the effort to explain the purpose of the tests, what the results meant and his findings from them. Although there was no need for surgery, his advice has been very helpful since. I felt privileged to be under his care and would happily recommend him.

Cathedral Eye Clinic

The check up today went really well and I was given reassurance and advice toward looking after my eyes by the thourough Cathedral Eye knowledgeable and experienced staff. The different tests and mannerly handovers following scans etc. from start to finish of appointment are seamless. And the appointment starts so well being welcomed in at the front desk, through too being checked out so that nothing is forgotten from eye drops to appointment times leaving nothing to chance.

Newmedica Plymouth

Everything was excellent. Staff were kind, friendly and efficient without exception. My only concern is that there does not seem to have been a good reason for the 14 week wait after referral. It seemed clear that Newmedica would have had capacity to complete the procedure sooner but apparently the NHS would not pay for this flexibility. My sight deteriorated in that time so that was a personal negative.

I had migs and cataract in my right eye the staff were amazing the time seemed to pass very quickly 7.30am check in I was last even though I was anxious I needn’t have been as there was no pain whatsoever and recovery was good I’m looking forward to my left eye being done hopefully in the next few months I will not be as anxious next time then I can hopefully be free of drops!
