Dr Simon Broughton has been working in Paediatrics since 1995 and a Consultant from 2007 based in London at King's College Hospital and Women's Health Dulwich. He completed his medical degree at the University of Southampton in 1994 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. He was awarded a PhD for his research work surrounding the long term consequences of bronchiolitis on prematurely born infants in 2007.
Simon focuses on developing systems of care to enhance patient safety. He has a particular interest in early recognition and prompt management of clinical deterioration of the unwell child. Simon has held senior managerial roles within his NHS work, and regional and national roles for education and training.
In his current clinical practice, Simon provides a wide range of services, including: vaccinations, well baby checks and routine growth and development checks, as well as routine childhood illnesses. Simon is very experienced in managing respiratory tract infections, cough and wheeze, constipation, abdominal pain, headaches, fatigue and malaise.
Simon also has an impressive research background, having completed his PhD in 2009 and authored over 30 publications, which have been recognised and cited by his peers.

Simon is one if the best doctors I have ever worked with. He is a truly fantastic Paediatrician. He knowledge and care of individual children is literally superb. If my child were unwell I would chose Dr Broughton as The Paediatric Consultant I would go to.
