About Mr Goran Ahmed
Goran Ahmed is an oncoplastic and cosmetic breast surgeon who provides expert treatment to patients seeking help across Surrey, East Hampshire, and Berkshire. He is trained in all aspects of breast surgery, including oncoplastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic procedures, and he collaborates closely with dermatology colleagues to offer melanoma and non-melanoma surgeries. His research interests focus on breast surgery following chemotherapy, day-case surgery, and familial and hereditary breast cancer.
Goran graduated from Medical School in Iraq in 2009 as the top student of his cohort. He began his surgical training in a large tertiary centre and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015. After achieving his General Surgery board certification in 2018, he completed two years of GMC-recognised fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and passed the intercollegiate exam in General Surgery with a special interest in Breast Surgery in 2021. That same year, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. During his fellowship, he also earned a Master’s degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery with Distinction from the University of East Anglia. Currently, he is enrolled in a cosmetic breast surgery fellowship to further enhance his expertise in that filed.
Goran's comprehensive training and extensive experience enable him to deliver state-of-the-art, patient-centred care, ensuring optimal outcomes for those facing breast cancer and other complex breast-related conditions.
He offers complimentary 15min mini-consultations for patients seeking cosmetic surgery. This will be an introductuctory session to briefly assess needs and expectations, and discuss options.

I had an appointment with Mr Ahmed as I was feeling anxious and concerned Mr Ahmed was very kind and examined me and put my mind at rest there was nothing to be concerned about Mr Ahmed is so very understanding, caring, kind and explains things very well.. Dr Goran Ahmed has been fantastic. I have been treated under his care from receipt of my cancer diagnosis almost a year ago, throughout my chemo and various treatments and then for my mastectomy and axilla removal twice when he operated on me. I am beyond grateful to him. He has been patient, understanding, empathetic and I have felt informed and safe with him from day 1. In clinic his explanations are clear and concise and nothing is ever any trouble. His manner is so professional, caring, genuine and kind. As a surgeon in theatre he has shown compassion, skill and is very clearly top of his game here. I am delighted with the outcome of my operations. As a HER2 positive DCIS survivor he has just told me I am cancer free. I have a long journey of preventative treatments ahead under oncology but it’s all downhill from here. Thank you!
