About Mr Sukhpal Singh
Mr Sukhpal Singh is the Senior Consultant General Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital,, specializing in Surgical gastroenterology and laparoscopy. He qualified as a doctor from Guys Hospital Medical School in 1983 and received further training at the South West Thames Program. He gained valuable experiences while working around the world in the USA, Hong Kong, Belgium, Japan and France.
As a result of his passion for providing an excellent level of care to his patient, his work in the field is very impressive and has been repeatedly awarded. As a consultant at the Frimley Park Hospital, he introduced a number of highly advanced procedures and he was the first in the area to introduce Endoscopic Ultrasound. Moreover, he was the Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Lead when his unit received an award of Clinical Excellence by the National Peer Review process.
His interest is not limited in the clinical field, as he is also a very keen researcher and teacher. He is the author of an impressive number of papers that have been published and presented nationally and internationally. His thesis for his Master of Surgery was awarded the University of London Rogers Prize. His current research is focused on the improvement of the quality of care for patients that have received gallstone surgery and Robotic Surery
Mr Singh is a pioneer using the most advanced technologies, including Robotic Surgery and at the same time, he ensures that he provides a patient-focused care by promoting and facilitating multi-disciplinary team-work.
