Mr Michael Chadwick is a Consultant General Surgeon and Coloproctologist with extensive experience in minimally invasive robotic, laparoscopic (keyhole) and open surgical techniques. His range of techniques and experience allows him to offer his patients choice and a truly tailored, individualised approach to their surgical care.
Having completed higher surgical training in the South West of England he undertook a fellowship in laparoscopic & robotic colorectal surgery at Frimley Park Hospital prior to entry onto the specialist register and becoming a consultant in 2010.
He provides surgical care for a wide range of general surgical and colorectal conditions. His specialist practice includes groin and abdominal wall hernia repair (including local anaesthetic hernia repair), gallbladder surgery, and excision of benign skin and soft tissue lesions as well as multiple treatments for proctological conditions such as piles, rectoanal prolapse disorders, fissures, fistulas and pilonidal disease.
He is also a JAG accredited bowel cancer screening endoscopist and provides diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy.
Mr Chadwick has a specialist interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for bowel cancer, complicated diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease requiring surgery.
