I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

Anxiety naturally precedes any medical appointment, especially when such delicate procedures are planned. Lucy Clarke and her team assuaged my every concern, from first consultation to walking out after my operation. I cannot praise Newmedica Newcastle enough for their care and professionalism over my direct brow lift, I left the clinic in a state of elated gratitude…..much like the man in John 9, Jesus healed his sight with mud and spit, thankfully ophthalmological techniques have advanced greatly these past 2000 years. Professor Biswas has been absolutely wonderful Kind in his manner Very clear in his explanations Not pushing surgery, just patiently going through pros & cons & advising us in our situation But when we did decide to have surgery he has done a fantastic job. His secretary Grainne has also been so accommodating & very lovely & thé Orthoptist (forgive me I forgot your name) has also been absolutely brilliant - kind & thorough, patient with great explanations. I recently visited Dr Kathryn at The Real You Clinic for some botox. She took the time to listen to everything I said, and gave very good advice, and I am very happy with the results. Most of my lines have disappeared, ond even the couple of deep forehead lines I had, now appear so much softer. She has achieved this, while still maintaining a natural look., which was exactly what I wanted. The clinic is in a lovely setting and always feels very clean and welcoming. I would 100% recommend Dr Katnryn to anyone looking to get botox.

My appointment with Mr Philip Ahrens was convenient and went smoothly. All the reception staff at Portland Place were friendly and efficient. Dr Lee who and his assistant (Ahmed?) who carried out the ultrasound scan of my shoulder and the delivery of the steroid injection were first class. I have been treated by Mr Ahrens on two previous occasions - 2005 and 2010 - so I knew that he was the specialist I wanted to see on this occasion. Almost one week on and I am feeling the positive effects of my visit last Tuesday.

Amazing consultation and face scan with Eleni who prescribed an Obagi skincare system which is making my skin look brighter, tighter and fresher already. Several treatments from Monica which I am delighted with after having old cheek fillers dissolved from another clinic years ago. I feel like I have my old self back but renewed and refreshed because of Monica’s expert treatments giving a natural soft more youthful look. Very happy customer!

It was great to be able to see Mr Steven Lau at the Spencer, although a great shame that the NHS does not recognise crossover between private and public services. I had paid £250 to see Mr Lau for the same consultation as I had on 7th January, meaning that I am no further along the path of accessing the treatment I’ve waited 21 months for. I am grateful, however, that I’m accessing private services via the NHS

I have a clear plan of action moving forward and this helps to reduce any axiety that arises. I had a small lesion removed from my ear. It would be helpful to advise patients to take a pain killer before the removal of dressings and bandages as this was extremely painful. Two of the nursing staff mentioned that this would have been a very good idea, but it was too late to do this at my appointment.
