I was very glad to see that Andrew had returned to work after his absence. Although there was nothing at all wrong with the other doctor I saw when he was away, having been a patient for a number of years and liking routine, I was disappointed not to see Andrew. Over that length of time you build a strong rapport and absolute trust Not only has Andrew helped me through my, sometimes difficult, medical conditions, he has also helped me to improve difficult life situations. He takes a holistic approach which clearly benefits his patients' physical and mental health. I can't speak highly enough of his empathy, expertise and professionalism. You can see he genuinely cares for his patients. He is a truly dedicated Consultant and a credit to the Gloucestershire NHS. Therefore this visit was especially good. Not only was Andrew professional and caring (as is the norm) but he listened to what I was saying/asking and answered any queries I had, allaying any fears I had about losing him as my consultant which I would find extremely difficult. I left my appointment much happier than when I arrived and armed with information to improve my wellbeing.

I recently underwent two surgeries with Dr Sujatha Kalburgi to treat fibroids that had been severely impacting my quality of life. From the moment she saw my scan, she acted immediately, arranging surgery and prescribing medication to help reduce the size beforehand. After spending two years waiting for action through the NHS, her swift response, professionalism, and genuine urgency were incredibly reassuring. Throughout the entire process, Dr Kalburgi was warm, attentive, and clear in explaining every stage of the journey. She answered all my questions with patience, made herself available when I needed clarity, and helped me feel completely supported and confident in my care. The surgeries were a success, and the transformation to my daily life has been remarkable. I am truly grateful for her expertise, compassion and decisive care. This is my second year for breast cancer annual review, so I now know that it will be a long afternoon, moving to and from the waiting room to the consultants room and for different scans. The overall appointment may be lengthy, but having the opportunity to have all the necessary scans and consultations conducted in one afternoon, reduces the number of appointments and waiting time for results which would prolong any worry. I praise Miss Deol, the nurses, radiologist, radiographers for managing a very hectic schedule of patients and scans.

Great doctor with a really nice approach. I visited recently dr Viegas for some strange headaches that I had. He explained to me the procedure that he will follow and what the next steps would be. After a detailed exam, covering different aspects, he told what the possible causes could be but he recommended MRI and blood test to check all possibilities. Follow up meeting was also great as he told me from the beginning what the outcome was and answered to all my questions

I appreciate the specialized equipment and expertise (and hence cost) required to perform a visual field test, but I continue to be irritated by the charge (currently £51) for a visual acuity check. Although at Moorfields this is now performed via a computer screen, in essence it is the same as sitting in front of a simple eye chart ... something which is so basic that in an optometrist's setting it attracts no charge at all.

I found him very pleasant - he looked for a long time at all my xrays he listened to me and my husband and I had every confidence in his ability. He recommended me to have a nerve blocker procedure as a day case which I accepted. This procedure helped but did not cure all the pains. When I saw him after the procedure he recommended me to not to have further operations unless essential.
