About Mr Edward Lee
Mr Edward Lee is a consultant Ophthalmologist and Surgeon practising at a number of private hospitals around London, including in Ashtead, Croydon, and North Cheam. His NHS base is the Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, where he is the College Tutor and lead for training.
The doctor studied at Oxford University for his undergraduate training, which he completed in 1999. During his time at Oxford, he won several prizes and accolades, including the Open Academic Scholarship from Brasenose College. Mr Lee then worked throughout the UK and spent some time in New Zealand as well, before returning to London to pursue specialist training in ophthalmology. He has worked in the field of retinal gene therapy and received a PhD in 2011.

From the lady on reception to the nurse who looked after me to all the theatre staff everyone was very kind and I was looked after really well.
I am very happy indeed with my recent YAG laser capsulotomy procedure on both eyes. I was treated with respect, dignity, courtesy and empathy. The procedure itself was painless and completed in less than half an hour. I have been communicated with efficiently and effectively, and given all of the information I have needed. It is wonderful to be able to see clearly again.

I was able to get an appointment at a convenient location very quickly, thanks to Mr Lee's very helpful secretary. Once booked, I found the Carebit system easy to use for uploading documents. Mr Lee's manner is thoroughly professional, whilst also being friendly and reassuring. He explained clearly the issue with my eye and discussed potential courses of action with me, in a straightforward, non-patronising way.
My first appointment with Mr Lee very smart very professional very articulate explained everything well so that I could understand everything all in all a very pleasant experience
