Theresa gained her medical qualification at University of London, in addition to her BSc in psychology she specialises In nervous amd anxioys patients
. After this, she trained for seven years with various prestigious institutions, including the Royal College of Surgeons, The Western Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, where she gained fellowship in Retina and Uveitis. She was a consultant in glaucoma and medical retina from 2002 in Croydon where she set up the Macula service amd was lead consultant for 8 years gaining four clinical excellence awards . She was later appointed consultant in 2014 at the Imperial Healthcare Trust, where she also trains junior Ophthalmologists in retina and cataract care, including cataract surgery and laser retina surgery. She is well versed to performing complex eye surgeries with low complication rates of 0.04.

From the first appointment with Dr. Richardson,who indeed is a highly skilled ophthalmologist to the pre and post op cataract surgery was excellent. I do recommend her to anyone who needs a cataract surgery..The recovery process was uneventful as well.

Dr Richardson has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that goes beyond her own field. She managed to correctly diagnose a condition which several other specialists I had seen previously were unable to help me with. I can highly recommend her.

One of the friendliest consultants Ive met. professional as well as courteous and personable. She explained the reasoning behind my eyelid cyst which shes probably had to do a million times in her career and addressed the problem on the same day. She also checked for Glaucoma only because I suggested a history of it in my family out of concern. She further voluntarily followed up with me the following day to ensure everything is healing well. I highly recommend Miss Richardson!

I needed a eye specialist for my elderly father who needed a treatment soon. I couldn't attend. Theresa was great, great communication with me, and took great care of him. Dad gave a glowing report :)
