On arrival we felt welcomed and comfortable, a calm environment, We had a little wait for our appointment however we felt a thorough explanation and detail, very appreciated.

First Screening appointment was cancelled due to doctor being off sick. Second appointment was late by approx 20 mins. Screening appointment was as described but report provided afterwards was disappointing in terms of content. I expected more narrative about what each test was for and what my scores meant. I had a brief telephone call from doctor (2 minutes long) who said all results were in normal range. I hadn’t been sent the results at this stage so assumed this was correct, she said one was abnormal but it was probably due to a late delivery of sample to the lab but this wasn’t verified so unsure if it was a true result? I googled what the various tests were for and what my results meant but expected this to be in the report for the amount of money it cost. I didn’t know which test was for my liver function and which was for my kidneys etc but figured it out for myself in the end. Looking back I probably could have just asked my GP for a full blood count and ask for a copy of the results to be sent to me as MUMS didn’t do anything extra in terms of advice or explaining my results. The report was effectively a cut and paste of the lab results and a typed up section of the things I told the doctor in my appointment. The only value I see in the service is ease of booking and access to time with a doctor as getting an appointment with my GP is difficult.
