Newmedica Leeds. 5* Care from start to finish. My optician at Specsavers suggested it was time to consider cataract surgery and I was offered an NHS referral to my choice of providers. I chose Newmedica Leeds and just over 2-3 weeks later had an initial consultation at Newmedica. Unfortunately my high blood pressure caused some problems and delayed the first cataract operation to my left eye, after 4-5 weeks weeks I had surgery on my first eye and 5-6 weeks later my second eye was done. Without exception all of the staff I met at Newmedica were friendly, helpful, and very caring. The consultant who carried out the procedure on both eyes (Mr. Kamran Khan) took the time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. During the procedures he was reassuring and calmly explained what was happening. Both procedures were carried out successfully and my sight is so much better now. I would like to give a big thank you to Mr Kamran Khan and his team and my Optometrist Summer Elyoussfi and her team for all the care and attention I received. I have no hesitation in recommending Newmedica Leeds.

Before I met Glenda I was at a very low point in my life. I was experiencing an incredible amount of stress and anxiety following a breakdown in my relationship. I found it very hard to function at a level to which I was used to. I have always been high energy and needed to be for my work. Glenda instantly put me at ease, she was always very patient and explained in great detail why I was feeling why I was. Glenda is highly professional and never once did I feel patronised or judged. She spoke to me with respect and encouraged me to learn more about my situation through reading, podcasts, audiobooks etc which really helped me along the way. Some days I would arrive at our therapy session without knowing what I was going to discuss but Glenda creates a safe environment which allows you to open up and share your thoughts and feelings. Glenda is an incredible psychodynamic therapist and has been highly influential in my life and I will be forever grateful for her knowledge, her patience and her kindness. Thank you for everything.

Professor Richard Field

At consultation, Professor Field provided a full explanation of my condition and what was needed - a full hip replacement. This was carried out a few weeks later and went very well. Awoke with only a little discomfort. Able to walk with crutches that afternoon. Professor Field was there to provide support after the operation and throughout. Stayed overnight and returned home the day after. Recovery has been steady since amd two wees later am now really starting to see the benefits which will hopefully continue. Professor Field was there amd his team has provided continuing support since returning home with follow up calls which have been very welcome and reassuring. Very pleased with the treatment and care.

I cannot rate the hospital highly enough following my recent operation. From the moment I arrived I was looked after by a number of staff members, all of who could not do enough to ensure I was comfortable, informed and had everything I needed. In particular nurses Damian, Sonia, Cindy and Salmon were wonderful, also the catering lady who's name i didn't catch, Steve the pharmacist, Mr Murray the anesthetist, and Mr Lewis the surgeon. All the staff were very friendly and relaxed which helped me settle in a situation I could have felt very uncomfortable and nervous in. Even though this procedure was covered by insurance I would not hesitate to self pay in the future if needed to have this level of care again.

I visited Dr Shaffer on recommendation from a fellow gym member as I developed lumps in both hands. My GP had advised me that they would not treat Dupytrens until my fingers actually began to contract. I had a 30 minute consultation at the Cromwell Hospital which resulted in advice to monitor my hands for 2 months to see if there was any deterioration. Very impressive service. Dr Shaffer was very clear that it was early in the condition. His advice to potentially ease off in the gym to avoid hand trauma was the not the best news for a gym addict! But clearly correct. I will now measure my hands movement and flexibility periodically and revisit if it shows signs of getting worse. Thank you

Before the operation, two highly experienced physiotherapists in Kingsbridge told me, in no uncertain terms, that he is the best. They were absolutely right. Mr Coleridge’s bedside manner and genuine care are first rate. He explained the procedure clearly and reassuringly, and the outcome has been better than I could ever have hoped for. Throughout the whole process of diagnosis, which involved an endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT colongraphy, Dr Lerman was exceptionally clear about what was involved, what was discovered and what that meant; ie, how I should understand, interpret and act upon the diagnosis and findings. He explains things thoroughly and clearly, with charm and good humour. He was attentive, and sensitive in ensuring that I received information in as clear and reassuring a manner as possible. I'd unreservedly recommend him. And his team deserve a shout out - they are lightening fast in responding and sorting things out.

Very professional, clear and concise explanations/guidance/pre diagnosis and listened to my concerns patiently. Gave me confidence re a long standing health issue lasting 20 years and gave hope re a final resolution to end my pain. I chose to go privately with Mr Mishreki, as he had treated me before at my local NHS hospital, and the NHS waiting list was too long. In all my dealings with him, he was excellent, he explained what he would be doing before and how things would progress after my operation. There was a small problem after the operation which he dealt with very quickly and professionally. He is pleasant and easy to talk to and seems supportive to his team. I would recommend him to anyone with similar problems to me.
