I recently had surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Newport and I honestly couldn’t fault the care I received. From start to finish, the staff were outstanding and made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm, reassuring, and well looked after. A special mention has to go to Esther and Megan R — they were absolutely fantastic during my stay. Both were incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely caring, and they really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and supported. I can’t recommend the level of care highly enough. If anyone is considering having a procedure done privately, I would 100% recommend St. Joseph’s Hospital. The standard of care is excellent, and I felt in safe hands throughout.

I have recently completely recovered from a hip replacement operation and found the experience excellent from the original consultation to the successful recovery . My expectations were exceeded in every way from being able to complete my first steps 5 hours after surgery and being discharged from hospital within 24 hours. My experience during my visit for day surgery was very good overall. The nurses and physiotherapist were young but capable. The anaesthetists were very helpful both before and after my operation. The surgeon was brisk and efficient. I was perhaps a little surprised that he didn't come to see me after the operation. The quality of the snack I was offered after the operation was poor: crisps and a sandwich with stodgy bread. Hardly nutritious recovery food!

He was able to reassure us throughout the procedure which kept everything a calm and really lovely experience. He also filmed and photographed the experience when he could. I saw Mr. Davda in April 2025 for a consultation regarding pain caused by arthritis in my big toe. Mr. Davda gave clear advice which resulted in chielectomy surgery in May 2025. The surgery went very smoothly and the recovery process was as outlined by Mr. Davda. I am pleased to say that the treatment was successful and, over six months on from surgery, I am not currently experiencing pain.
