Dear Team, I would like to provide feedback, as my experience at Harley Street Specialist Hospital has genuinely changed my life. I want to say how incredibly grateful and eternally indebted I am to my surgeon, Mr Luke Cascarini. He has given me a completely new lease of life. He is not only an outstanding surgeon but an exceptional human being, and I cannot thank him enough for the care, precision, and compassion he showed throughout my entire journey. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to Janet, Dr Bosh, and all the nursing staff, as well as every member of the team right down to the wonderful ladies on reception, including Marianne. There are too many to name individually, but every single person played a role in making this experience extraordinary. The hospital itself does not feel like a hospital at all — it feels more like a health retreat where you leave as a better version of yourself. The environment, the warmth, and the standard of care are truly exceptional. For anyone suffering from sleep apnea, as I was, or dealing with any of the conditions treated by your specialists, I could not recommend HSSH and Mr Luke Cascarini more highly. Professor Omar Faiz

General Surgeon

Professor Faiz has been exceptional throughout our daughter's care. We met him in January 2024 to explore the possibility for her stoma to be reversed (she had emergency surgery to remove her colon at another hospital the previous year aged just 20). Professor Faiz is clearly preeminent in his field, he is also patient, kind and has the most wonderful bedside manner. He is a true professional and wanted to take time to ensure our daughter had the best possible chance for success. She underwent numerous tests to assess if she was a viable candidate for either J-Pouch or IRA surgery. In August 2024 Professor Faiz performed an IRA and it couldn't have gone better, internally it's perfect and externally neat as a pin. Though her colitis is still lingering (we knew this was a risk and one she felt worth taking) Professor Faiz is still very much involved in her care, together with a gastroenterologist colleague. We truly believe the direction of her life (and ours) was positively impacted when Professor Faiz was recommended to us and we are very grateful to him, and his team for looking after us so well.

The King Edward V11 hospital is the best of the best in London. The cleanliness, kindness, fabulously trained and knowledgeable professionals in each and every department are second to none. I’ve been visiting this hospital for more than 45 years, and always had a most positive experience. From the Porters and Reception team to their Consultants and Physiotherapists, they are impossible to fault. On my most recent visit, I visited the imaging department, and was scanned by the amazing Dr Clare Allen, and her team. She was the personification of professionalism, yet also one of the most empathetic Consultants I have ever come across. I can’t recommend her or her team, more highly.

am African and originally from Africa. Today, the young lady who took my blood was extremely kind and very professional. As we were talking, she was friendly, respectful, and welcoming. I was truly impressed by her attitude and the way she treated me. When she inserted the needle to draw my blood, I barely felt anything — she clearly knew exactly where the vein was and performed the procedure with great skill. If people in this world were all like her, the world would be filled with endless happiness.

Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

Excellent team . Everyone is so welcoming, warm and professional. Timing is perfect, all doctors, nurses and staff are wonderful. I especially would like to thank Alex Olayo, the exceptional and wonderful nurse: she was with me every step of the way to recovery. Always keen to help, warm, supportive and caring.
