About Miss Zaynab Jawad
Miss Zaynab Jawad is a Consultant General and Emergency Surgeon with a keen interest in benign upper gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases as well as minimally invasive surgery. She specialises in general surgery with a particular interest in hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, and laparoscopic surgery. In addition, Miss Jawad is a JAG accredited upper GI endoscopist.
Miss Jawad completed her higher surgical training at the North West Thames Deanery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019. She has experience in managing complex hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal diseases having trained at the Royal Marsden and Hammersmith Hospital.
Miss Jawad obtained her medical degree with distinction from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and Imperial College, London. Her clinical interests include UGI surgery, hernia surgery, epigastric hernia surgery, open inguinal hernia surgery, paraumbilical/umbilical hernia repair, and UGI endoscopy. Miss Jawad is currently based at the London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust, where she provides expert care to her patients.
