I am a Consultant Cardiologist who has worked at Poole and the royal Bournemouth Hospitals since 2008. I graduated from Imperial College London before undertaking junior doctor posts across London, Surrey, and Hampshire. My specialist cardiology training began within the Wessex Deanery and later continued in the West Midlands, where I completed a research MD at the University of Birmingham on Cardiovascular risk. Therafter, I undertook advanced training in heart failure and device therapy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
I also obtained a PhD (Bournemouth University) on the issue of cardiovascular risk and high altitude exposure. I am a keen researcher and I have published over 170 papers in peer-reviewed journals. I am a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London, Bournemouth University, Leeds Beckett University, and St George’s University in Grenada, as well as Visiting Researcher at King’s College London.
My clinical expertise includes the management of heart failure, bradyarrhythmias, complex cardiac pacing (including cardiac resynchronisation therapy and implantable cardioverter defibrillators), the breathlessness patient, SportsCcardiologyand Cardiovascular Risk Assessment.
In addition to my busy NHS work and academic roles, I am the Armed Forces Civilian Consultant Advisor in Cardiology, supporting the delivery of specialist cardiovascular care to service personnel. I am the President of the Poole Heart Support Group.

For me this was a really useful meeting because the Professor brought many issues together which increased my understanding and I have been able to reassess my medication options. I appreciate the direct, honest approach and his knowledge of the latest research and to include me on his reasoning. Many thanks

I would like to sincerely thank you for your positive comments and wishing you a rapid improvement in your condition
The signs to direct me to the cardiac clinic were wrong!! Luckily the nurse found me and other patients were waiting in the wrong area !!

I am sorry about the misdirection. There have been major building works going on and this is beyond my control and I pleased you have rated your interaction will me highly.
Prof Boos was extremely helpful and efficient during my visit with him. His knowledge is clear and he even helped with an appointment for my father to investigate a potential link to my concerns and my fathers previous medical history. Thank you again

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive and considerate feedback. I really appreciate it.
The assistant was very clear and friendly but I felt that Professor Boos was a bit abrupt and rushed with his responses etc.

Thanks for your respo se. I am sorry you felt this. This was a test and not a full consultation with a huge amounts of information to impart and I tried to answer all of the questions raised.

Superb! Very useful and informative.

I am very grateful for your positive feedback.
Overall the experience was very positive because it the consultation happened very quickly after I made the request and it covered a great deal of information quickly. On reflection, I feel the anxiety I was feeling inhibited me in responding thoughtfully enough to some of his questions. I am satisfied that the referrals for further tests is the right path forward.

Thank you for your anonymous and positive response. This feedback is very reassuring and very appreciated.
Professor Boos is a consultant I trust and have complete faith in.
