When I went in for the operation I was very nervous and concerned at my age of 75 how it would go.I need not have worried at all as everyone was very kind to me and Mr Chipperfield especially explained everything to me and allayed my fears.

Brilliant experience as always and I wouldn't have any other surgeon operating on my knees!

He had explained the whole procedure to me and told me not to worry. He was very reassuring and took the time to see me before the surgery and made me feel comfortable. He went through the risks and the benefits regarding my injection. After the injection, I had no pain and after a few days the inflammation has gone down to.

Hip replacement surgery

Mr Chipperfield explained everything prior to the operation at the consultation and he came to see me beforehand and afterwards.

I was absolutely shocked that the only Air Conditioning in the Hospital is in the Operating Theatres. My Room was 27.9 degrees and I was lucky that I was only there for a couple of hours. I cannot imagine how awful it would have been for me had I been having major knee surgery and having to stay in the Hospital. As a private hospital, with the fees that are paid, I cannot believe that in this day and age, you cannot provide your patients with an acceptable temperature.

Mr Chipperfield was wonderful. He was very kind, caring and listened to any concerns that I had. I appreciated his honesty as to how challenging the surgery would be in terms of recovery. He carried out my first knee replacement in October last year and I had no hesitation in going back to him for my second knee replacement in May this year.

I cannot thank Mr Chipperfield enough for the outstanding care I received throughout my total knee replacement journey. From my very first consultation, he was professional, approachable and genuinely caring. Mr Chipperfield always took the time to explain every option available to me in a clear, honest and informative way, ensuring I fully understood the benefits and any potential risks before making decisions. I never felt rushed and always felt that my questions and concerns were listened to and answered thoroughly. His calm and reassuring manner gave me complete confidence that I was in the best possible hands. The surgery itself and the care I received have been excellent, and I am incredibly grateful for his expertise and dedication. I would highly recommend Mr Chipperfield to anyone considering knee surgery. He is an exceptional surgeon who combines outstanding clinical skill with genuine compassion for his patients.
