About Mr Khalid Malik
Mr Khalid Malik is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic consultant with a sub-specialist interest in hip and knee surgery. His surgical expertise includes primary total hip and total knee replacement, unicompartmental knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, revision hip and revision knee replacement.
Mr Malik graduated from Imperial College London, School of Medicine in 2012. After completing higher speciality training in Kent, Surrey & Sussex, he undertook specialist fellowship training at the prestigious Wrightington Hospital, internationally renowned as the birthplace of modern lower limb arthroplasty. During his fellowship, Mr Malik received extensive training in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery and developed expertise in managing complex hip and knee disorders, revision surgery, impaction bone grafting, custom hip and knee replacements and direct anterior approach of the hip. Mr Malik was also awarded the British Hip Society Travelling Fellowship Bursary, which facilitated his visitation to the orthopaedic unit at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, an international centre of excellence for hip and knee replacement surgery.
Mr. Malik’s primary focus lies in ensuring his patients thoroughly understand their medical conditions, while actively involving them in the shared decision-making process for their treatment. He places clear communication, empathy, and collaborative decision-making at the heart of his interactions with patients.

Throughout the process leading up to my operation, and in post-op meetings, I found Mr Malik to be thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, polite and friendly, taking time to explain matters completely and answer any questions I had. This experience left me with the confidence that the operation was going to be a success even before I arrived at the hospital.
I was surprised to become mobile much earlier than I had expected. Didn't need crutches and managed stairs in my house very quickly. Mr Malik had been very optimistic about my recovery from the start and he was proved correct.
Replacement knee operation went very well, Mr Malik explained to me the process of the operation, which was successful.
Mr Malik has a friendly manner. He explained very clearly the problems with my right hip, the options available for treatment and the risks associated with each.
Listened to what you were saying and was eager to explain the problem. Seemed very caring and said that we could contact him if we have a problem.
I’ve had a good experience from start to finish, everyone was professional , they all knew what was expected and carried that out very professionally
This was for an eight week post-op follow-up appointment. Mr Malik listened attentively to me and was very pleased with my progress. He made a point of telling me that if I had any concerns in the future, I could just make an appointment to see him again. I felt very reassured.
