The hospital was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. The procedure staff were particularly nice and professional. I was very happy with the procedure and the level of professionalism and also good bedside manner. One/two areas which could be improved if you are interested : 1. Pre-procedure information suggested an overall time from entry to release of approx 2hrs. With a 6pm admission time, I assumed I could arrange a collection for 8.30pm with some time to spare. However, on arrival, after approx 1hr 15mins it became apparent that the admission time of 6pm was a general time for 3 patients to be admitted and seen that evening between 6-9pm. I happened to be patient no.2, so was seen around 7.30 and released around 9, meaning I could not use the lift arranged (my wife &kids were ok til then, but not after). This then presented me with a choice of either taxi home or to ask someone at short notice to come and collect me. Had I known the range of procedure/release times in advance, I would have arranged a different, more appropriate, lift from the start. This leads to point no.2 2. I was not made aware of the choice on whether to have sedative or not. The literature states "you will be given a sedative" not that you have a choice. After the delay above, this then created a difficulty whereby if I took the sedative, I could not legally be released to an unknown taxi driver and would have to arrange another lift at short notice or not take the sedative. I opted to not take the sedative. Had I known this option was there, I could have driven myself to and from the appointment. It also would have saved my wife and kids spending time in the car on a busy evening. In connection with this, during the appointment, it sounded like release/recovery after the sedative was likely to be several hours, so release before 10-11pm was unlikely from the start and it was always probably going to be later if I took the sedative. Please don't take the above as criticism, just highlighting that making the choice on sedative clear would have allowed me to more easily plan both my transport. Also providing a bit more detail on the admission/procedure time range and release time range would have allowed me to more easily arrange appropriate transport. Basically, more information would have made things a bit easier is all

We cannot express enough gratitude for the care, compassion, and commitment Dr Masud has shown towards my son and our family. From the very beginning, he brought a level of thoughtfulness, expertise, and genuine humanity that is exceptionally rare. Navigating the mental health system has been one of the most challenging experiences of our lives, but Dr Masud has been a constant source of clarity, reassurance, and support. He didn’t just go above and beyond - he became a lifeline for us. His careful assessment of my son, his willingness to think deeply about the right clinical pathway, and his unwavering dedication to ensuring my son received the help he urgently needed have been nothing short of extraordinary. At every step, he balanced professional rigour with kindness and empathy, always making us feel heard, supported, and understood. As parents, we often felt overwhelmed by a system that can be confusing and fragmented, yet Dr Masud stood firmly beside us throughout. He advocated for my son, guided us through crucial decisions, and made himself available in moments when we felt lost (even at 1am in the morning). His involvement quite literally changed the trajectory of my son’s care and gave us hope at a time when hope was in short supply. Dr Masud is a shining light in a very difficult landscape. We would recommend him wholeheartedly to any family in need of a clinician who is not only exceptionally skilled, but also profoundly caring. We will forever be grateful for what he has done for our son -and for us. We are only at the start of our journey, but we feel in safe hands knowing he is with us. Thank you.

Usually feedback is of a negative nature but this is not one of those occasions. My experience was awesome for which I am super grateful. I have had a number of gastroscopies in my life so was nervous about what was going to happen. From the moment of my arrival I was greeted and made to feel comfortable straight away. The pre-procedure nurses were very clear, helpful and showed huge amounts of empathy about what was going to happen. When wheeled into the operating theatre I was introduced to all of the team who were to perform the procedure, all of whom had welcoming smiles and a reassuring tone (a tone that continued throughout the procedure). Dr Alan Watson was super clear, professional and again very comforting. I knew I was in safe hands. I just had a throat spray, no sedation, so was fully aware of what was going on. One action that was performed by a nurse during the procedure was to, comfortingly, rub my shoulder. I couldn’t see who it was, but such a small, seemingly insignificant action, was hugely important to me and kept me connected with humanity during the brutal fact that I had a scope down my throat. Post procedure, I was greeted with the warm smiles again and wheeled to the recovery area where again everyone was super attentive. I can’t say thank you enough for everything. The team were awesome.

Our son had a frontal nasal dermoid; a large tumour within his nasal bone that prevented his nose from forming properly. We spent months searching around the world for a specialist who could truly help him. The moment we met Dr. Glass, we knew we were finally in the right hands. His expertise, calm approach and depth of knowledge were immediately clear. After eight months of misdiagnosis, he understood exactly what our son was dealing with and how to correct it. For the first time, we finally felt safe and hopeful. Beyond his world-class skill, his kindness, reassurance and guidance made us feel completely supported throughout the entire process. What we never expected was just how extraordinary the result would be. Our son’s nose has been beautifully and expertly transformed - the scar is tiny and healing incredibly well, and the change has been life-changing for him and for us. We truly still can’t believe how amazing the outcome is, and we honestly can’t stop smiling. After such a challenging and emotional year, Dr. Glass gave us the most positive experience we could have hoped for. We cannot thank him enough and would recommend him without hesitation. To us, he will always be a hero.

I attended the hospital to have planned eye surgery consisting of cataract removal, lens replacement and full thickness corneal replacement under general anaesthetic. I arrived early and was allocated to a private ensuite room with secure storage. Nurses confirmed all the necessary checks that had been conducted the previois day in pre-assessment. A nurse applied gel to my hand to numb it ready for a cannula and provided surgical stockings. The anaesthetist visited to re-confirm details and provide reassurance. The surgeon visited to review procedure and risks. The nurse accompanied me to the anaesthesia room and looked after my clothes. After fitting the cannula painlessly, after the anaesthetic I knew nothing until awakening in recovery, with a pad over the affected eye. I was taken back to my room feeling fit and well. Nurses checked on me and provided the refreshments I had ordered. The surgeon visited again to confirm the follow up appointment. Medications were made ready, with post operative guidance. My chaperone arrived to take me home. The whole thing was completed on schedule.

I found it easy to book an appointment to see Mr. Andrews and the consultation was thorough and my condition was explained to me in terms that I easily understood. Mr. Andrews arranged for me to have an MRI scan and the appointment came through within days. The MRI scan procedure was simple and again everything was explained to me. I am having a telephone conversation with Mr. Andrews this week to find out the results of my scan and discuss the way forward. Mr. Andrews replaced a hip joint for me thirteen years ago which was life changing for me , as I am a farmer. This enabled me to go about my farming activities free from pain and regaining my mobility. I can't speak highly enough of Mr. Andrews.

I arrived 10 minutes early and found a parking space opposite the main entrance. I reported to reception who directed me the check in where I was booked in and directed to the waiting area. Only a couple of minutes later I was called for my scan, shown where to put my belongings and then directed to the MRI scanning room. Here I was explained thoroughly what would happen and then I went into the scanner for 15-20 minutes. When I came out I was told my results would be sent to my doctor in about 2 weeks and then advised I was free to go home. I have no complaints and don’t think you could improve on the service. Very well done to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bernie.

I usually feel quite embarrassed and anxious about gynecology appointments, but my experience with Dr. Priyanka Patel and the staff was truly amazing. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel at ease and treated me with so much kindness and respect. Dr. Patel was incredibly gentle, patient, and understanding. She took the time to walk me through the entire procedure step by step, which really helped calm my nerves and made me feel comfortable and in control. I’m so grateful for such a compassionate and professional experience. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Dr Margarita was very knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely recommend coming to the Lantern Clinic. I felt listened too and she emphasised as a woman with my issues. I had plenty of time to chat and didn’t feel rushed,. Dr Margarita devised a plan for me to follow and recommended a gold standard brand of supplements I should start. I am booked in for a follow up appointment in several weeks time, to discuss how my treatment plan went and if I saw improvements.

The first interview over the internet is simply a money gathering excise. To charge the same fee as that charged for a face to face is not defendable or reflective of the standards of integrity I expect from practitioners of this level. The letter that follows simply restates the facts that do not merit a charge of£450 for 27 minutes. The next steps then advocated are those which could be asked for without this money harvesting exercise. I found it insulting.

Britany was absolutely incredible. I am blown away by the extra lengths she went to, to research my condition and check with all the medics and then put together an appropriate plan for me. And for her help liaising with my health insurer. She was so thoughtful and caring - I have honestly never experienced anything like it. Britany went so far above and beyond. Thank you. And, I am now fully recovered from my frozen shoulder without surgery!
