Dr Irfan Amin

Dr Irfan Amin is an experienced gastroenterologist and general physician with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. He currently practices at Fitzwilliam Hospital and Ramsay Fitzwilliam Hospital, where he is known for his clinical expertise and commitment to advancing gastrointestinal services.

Dr Amin graduated with an MB BS from Kashmir University in 1998 and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians. Over the course of his career, he has developed specialist expertise in endoscopy, functional bowel disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), clinical nutrition, and hepatology.

He is highly skilled in a range of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), colonic polypectomy, and small bowel capsule endoscopy. His procedural proficiency is complemented by a keen interest in innovation, particularly in the development of new endoscopy services and streamlined clinical pathways to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
