Mr Hawary is be far the best medical consultant I have ever experienced, his empathy and compassion for his patients is simply exemplary. I was in a terrible state when I went to see Mr Hawary who then reassured me, did not make me feel like I was over reacting he instead empathised with me and I felt so much better. I have never seen a more compassionate and passionate consultant in my life. If consultants could follow his lead I am very sure this could revolutionise the medical world. This may seem over the top, it’s not. He is a wonderful consultant who really genuinely cares about his patients he cares about the pain I experience and asked very detailed questions to ensure I walked away feeling better, and able to cope he did not at any point marginalise how I felt, he is an impactful knowledgeable caring consultant and I hope I never see him again in the nicest possible way, but I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who faces the same issue I did. He has had a a very big impact on me and I am sincerely grateful for the caring and compassionate treatment I have received from Mr Hawary. I would not even hesitate to go to him again should I need anything. He is amazing at his job and I hope he gets the sincere recognition he deserves. If I could give him a knighthood I would. Outstanding patient care, outstanding sense of humour, which always helps in these hard times, and a real genuine compassion for his patients I could not has asked for anything more. Jess delivered our baby via C-section in March of this year. We opted for the full maternity package, and we had an excellent experience. Jess is very calm and knowledgeable. Her approach filled us both with confidence. Her care was comprehensive and personal; we were able to contact her with any queries throughout the pregnancy. We could book our appointments well in advance. This was especially helpful as we live over an hour from London and both work full-time with busy work schedules. The professionals that Jess works with and knows of are exceptional. She was able to recommend an expert in antenatal hydronephrosis and Jess works with a wonderful anaesthetist. The doctors she recommended were not only experts in their field, but they were also incredibly warm and friendly. When it came to the delivery, the day couldn't have gone any smoother. Jess had prepared us in terms of understanding exactly what would happen on the day and what to expect. All the professionals closely involved with the birth introduced themselves to us before we went down to theatre. If we are lucky enough to have another child in the future, we will be contacting Jess without a doubt.

The reception was not particularly efficient. I’d paid for the consultation in advance but asked for payment. I did have to pay for blood tests & waited 25 minutes because the receptionist was unable to transfer the amount from the laptop to the card machine. The dryer in the first floor toilet was broken but no hand towels were provided to dry my hands. It was the same exactly a week earlier. I also received numerous text messages & emails most were repetitive & caused confusion as several arrived the same day. The saving grace was thankfully the clinical staff were friendly & efficient.

I went to have my operation dressing removed and the consultant mr paver to check the wounds to make sure he’s happy with the results he was totally happy he said it’s the best results he’s seen for a long time with my second toe correction he’s extremely happy and so am I I haven’t seen my foot look so good in a long long time and the fact I’ve not really had any pain after this surgery is a miracle but I’ve done as I’m told and kept it elevated as I was told too for the first 2 weeks and just shows how much difference that makes

I had an injury last year on my left calf alongside recurring main in my right foot so wanted to get them checked. Dr Lord effectively assessed my calf, showed a very small tear, and then looked at my feet and told me there’s minor thickening in one of the tendons, which wouldn’t require any intervention but recommended physio for both including some effective stretching. Now I’ve got my report I can give to my physio and monitor it more effectively ACTUALLY knowing what’s wrong.

I have recently had a pre- op assessment and two cataract operations with Miss Gilvarry being the surgeon. I cannot fault the entire process. Miss Gilvarry is an accomplished explainer and empathises with the patient. She has a great team backing her up as well. The two operations she performed were completely painless and as far as I am aware, perfectly successful (I am writing this only one day after the second of the ops). I cannot recommend Miss Gilvarry highly enough!

The Spire has excellent facilities (car parking, waiting area, consulting rooms etc) and the reception staff are very attentive and helpful. The “formal check in” using an iPad is an unnecessary hurdle for patients to negotiate. The earlier system of just checking in with the receptionist was much better. My appointment with Dr. Balerdi was on time and a very useful session. Re. Dr. Balerdi himself, my very postive comments are in an earlier section.

Mr Christopher James

I went in for a carpal tunnel operation on my right hand . Mr Christopher James explained in detail about the operation he made me feel at ease. I was looked after by 2 excellent nurses there names were Esther and Sri they also made me feel at ease. During my operation Mr James was telling me all about what he was doing and even showed me what he was doing. I couldn't ask for a better surgeon and nurses a excellent team. My experience was a 10 out of 10.

Professor Waqas Ullah

My appointment was a scheduled telephone call. Professor Ullah had read my medical history and clearly detailed options for the next stage of treatment. He responded to my questions and passed on the Cadiology help line number for further details and answers to any further question. He will copy me the letter he will send to my GP. The discussion was not rushed and I will now review the options and determine my preferred option.

I walked up 12 floors as there were no lifts available.Only 14% capacity.I got to the Thames view suite via the cardiac lift because a cardiac unit staff member took pity on me and put me into lift 14 to complete my Access Path to the private patients unit. What on earth is going on and why does the lift maintenance contract not have a 50% minimum functionality profile as a term for service?
