Mr. Nicol replaced my right hip about 3 weeks ago, using the anterior approach process. I can't speak highly enough about what he and his anaesthetist, Mr. Andrew Dalton, did for me, making the whole event so straightforward. They were extremely professional but at the same time very approachable and happy to discuss any and all questions. I had a hip replacement 11 years ago but this time it was very different and very much easier and I have not had the difficulties I experienced last time post op - easier to start the rehab, exercises, easier to get a decent sleep, not nearly so much initial discomfort. I had the op at King's Park Hospital which gave me excellent care ( my nurse Stephanie was brilliant) and I was home the following day, having had check up visits from Mr. Nicol and Mr. Dalton. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Dalton - if I had a third hip I'd be asking him to replace it too!

I see Dr. Lil, who is absolutely amazing. She spent 30 minutes just listening to my history and my frustrations before ever laying a hand on me. I was so impressed with my results and Dr. Lil's gentle, knowledgeable approach that I even brought my 12-year-old son in for some sessions. She was fantastic with him—explaining everything in a way he could understand and making him feel comfortable and involved in his own health. I attended Mr Peter's surgery at Spire over 12 months back to discuss hip pain and options. Following xrays and confirmation of osteoarthritis in both, he was extremely helpful and clear as regards my (limited) options for managing the pain or resolving through hip replacement. As someone with 2 young kids and relatively young at 51, I was worried about surgery but his calm and supportive manner convinced me and I felt I would be in very safe hands. I underwent the surgery on my left hip in early August and was fully back on my feet n no time. The support, quality of care and professionalism of Mr Peter (as well as all the staff at Spire) was amazing and I would recommend to anyone suffering similar pain. I'm almost looking forward to going back again for.my right! Thank you again Mr Peter!

Received urgent call requesting blood test for tolerance to Dye. I Moved appointments for that afternoon to facilitate a flying visit. After arrival kept waiting for 35 minutes until I asked reception as was needed elsewhere and was told phlebotomist would be with me shortly. With Phlebotomist approx 3 minutes, total time 50 minutes and 50 miles traveled Then had to wait 9 days for scan which was only scheduled following chase-up from private GP. On presenting for CT Scan was told that they did not require blood test as procedure did not indicate use of dye. Most unimpressive communication and administration throughout

My stay at Delamere was incredible I would highly recommend it. The staff were so friendly and nice, every single one of them knew my name from day 1 which made me feel a lot more comfortable and safer. The structure of the groups and days were well thought out through. Every group was informative, engaging and interesting. They offer many 1-2-1 sessions to allow for a more focused therapeutic approach, all the therapists and mentors were highly knowledgable and compassionate. The food was great with plenty of options and flexibility. I’m very thankful to have got to stay here.
