    Mr Hisham Hamed

    Breast Surgeon

    5.0

    Verified

Mr Hamed is outstanding in every aspect of his care, surgical skills and expertise. From our first meeting I had confidence in him. From diagnosis through surgery to follow up he has been kind, compassionate and reassuring. At every stage, he reassured me and I was able to move on to the next stage feeling more hopeful. Like most people with a potentially life changing diagnosis I was worried but because he listened to me and discussed options, it enabled me to feel I still had a measure of control. When speaking of the proposed surgery and treatment plan not only were his explanations clear, but he was sensitive to my concerns and took the time to answer all my questions honestly, taking care to ensure I was fully informed and confident of both treatment and outcome. During the past two years under his care I have been fortunate to encounter several members of his team and it’s clear they too hold him in high regard, as evidenced by the real sense of team spirit. The results of the surgery were not only better than I hoped they were better than I could ever have anticipated. I will forever be grateful for his care and I cannot recommend him more highly. He is a remarkable, skilled and caring surgeon.

I arrived at 13.20 for my appointment with the nurse and informed the receptionist that I had three appointments 1) nurse 2) Mr Consigliere 3 ) physiotherapist. She informed me that she would note my presence for the first two but that I needed to tell physiotherapist separately. I saw the nurse on time and informed the receptionist I was now ready for my 2pm appointment with mr Consigliere. At 2.15 I asked receptionist if Mr Consigliere was running late ? Also that I was surprised he had not asked me to have an X-ray. At this point the receptionist informed me that my 2pm appointment with mr Consigliere had been cancelled. I asked by whom. At this point there was obviously some confusion and I was asked to sit down whilst they investigated. Some minutes later I was told “something “ had gone wrong but Mr Consigliere had asked me to have an X-ray and he would see me after my physiotherapist appointment. When I saw Mr Consigliere at around 3.45pm he informed me that my bone was not attached to the metal plate in my elbow. The ligaments and muscles were keeping it in place. Mr Consigliere wished to see what would happen over the next few weeks before making a decision.

Made typos on my medical documents several times regardless of me flagging they require updates Can’t schedule simple appointment times and check with people if they are available instead sending random meeting times which clash with my work On 3 occasions now I have tried to join a meeting to have no one there Even if I am having problems connecting and 2 mins late someone should be in the allocated slot waiting especially given the people you are meeting with are disabled All this titration has done is add extra stress to my life instead of helping anything I am now going through medication withdrawals because I have been unable to meet in my titration meetings regales of me flagging several times that these timings do not work with my work commitments and now I have extra stress and pressure on my life at an extremely stressful time Would not recommend this to anyone it’s taken me a whole year since my diagnosis to even get to this point and I am still being messed around

    Mr Yaser Ghani

    Orthopaedic Surgeon

    Verified

I cannot recommend Mr Ghani highly enough. After five weeks of being injured and feeling completely ignored by others, he was the first person who truly listened to me and took my symptoms and explanations seriously. From the moment of the consultation, it was clear that he was thorough, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in understanding what was going on. His examination was incredibly detailed, and he worked logically through my symptoms and their possible causes rather than dismissing them. Thanks to his careful approach, I finally received clear answers and the help I had been desperately needing. I was thoroughly impressed not only by his clinical expertise but also by his bedside manner. He was calm, attentive, and reassuring, which made a huge difference after such a frustrating experience. Feeling heard and believed was invaluable. An outstanding consultant — professional, compassionate, and clearly excellent at what he does.

Arrived fifteen minutes before the agreed appointment time as requested. Waited a further 20 minutes before being taken into the pre Investigation booth. Advised to remove certain clothing and jewellery which I did. Ifudbt catch what the nurse ? Assistant quite says as she spoke so quickly. A reversed to this a that. I waited in the booty a further 10 -15 minutes. I opened the door. No one around. I went back into reception as I didn’t know where I should be. Wondering whether I should have returned to the reception. An assistant checked my details. Then a further assistant arrived and took me back to the booth. Scan itself. Could not understand the therapist heard part but again so quick. But held in there. Need more clarity clearer instructions. Speak slowly.

On my last visit, there was a welcoming face at the desk who immediately greeted me. The place was clean and warm, and it was lovely to see the residents walking about and engaging with the staff and me. Banksfield has always been an extremely welcoming home. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The home is clean and warm, and my mother's needs are always met. The management is easy to approach and speak with about any issues or concerns. They have dealt with recent difficult events with an extreme professional manner, and have reinforced my belief that my mother is in the right place, receiving the right care. I trust their judgement and feel there is a strong partnership between the staff and me to ensure my mother's every need is met.

Dr Kalla spent time clearly explaining what my problem was, what further tests were required and how these would be carried out. He went on to clearly and thoroughly explain what the treatment would entail and how this would be done. He checked my understanding at every stage and he created a safe space for me to ask any questions I had and to discuss any fears or concerns about the treatment or its outcomes. I left my consultation absolutely clear on what was in front of me. At all stages Dr Kalla was warm, engaging and very considerate. His path of investigation led to my ultimately receiving a new aortic valve which has saved my life. I recommend him most highly.

I can’t thank Maria enough for her incredible support. I’ve worked with many therapists over the years but Maria is by far the best. She is naturally warm, compassionate and deeply understanding, which makes opening up and speaking honestly feel easy and safe. She helped me explore some of the most uncomfortable parts of my mind while always ensuring I felt supported. Through this work I’ve been able to gently push the boundaries of my anxiety and learn how to cope with situations that once felt overwhelming. I truly can’t recommend Maria enough she has completely changed my outlook and I now feel far more confident and equipped to manage my daily anxiety.

I had a check up and cleaning from the dentist Sonia. What a marvellous professional and friendly person. I am extremely nervous at dentist but Sonoa went above a beyond to make me at easy. She transmitted me calm and I'd never ever thought to feel calm at the dentist. I only hope she will not leave as well. I am so tired of OSD turnover of staff it's very stressful for me getting used to someone and than change it. Sonia is precious if I was OSD boss I'd do whatever I can to keep this kind of empathetic professional with me. Doc Sonia thank you from the bottom of my heart to make me feel special. THANK YOU Imma

I had my left knee replaced following the right knee replacement in June. There was barely any pain and I am as mystified as my carers! I have needed very little pain relief and apart from some slight heat and swelling on day 2 that responded perfectly to ice packs this has been a dream. Mr Shergill is clearly not only a brilliant surgeon but now I suspect he is a bit of a wizard as well. I spent one night in hospital and he visited me twice to monitor my progress. I can honestly say that I enjoyed my visit to New Hall Hospital and am thrilled with my new knee.

I had a lump removed from my finger, it looked insignificant, but it was a real problem for me, making daily activities like dressing etc painful and difficult. I am still exercising to regain fell movement. The Consultant, nurses and staff were great, understanding, friendly and professional. At each step everything was explained clearly so I completely understood what was happening and when. If I needed anything my request was dealt with promptly. The hospital was clean and fresh and the staff welcoming. Overall an excellent experience.

I had Smartsight surgery with Allon Barsam about 2 months ago. The whole process from initial consultation, to surgery, to follow up appointments has been fantastic, and I would highly recommend OCL to anyone considering vision correction. You really get that premium, personalised feel here. Everyone I interacted with was kind, helpful and reassuring. I'm delighted with my new vision and the days of having to think about contacts and glasses feel like a distant memory. A heartfelt thank you to the whole OCL Vision team!

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

I met with Mr Kukreja who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and reassuring. He explained everything in great detail in a way that was easy for me to understand, and made me thoroughly aware of the potential risks of my treatment in a way that was calming rather than frightening. It is quite impressive to meet someone for the first time and immediately develop a strong sense of trust. For this, I am very grateful.

I had hysterectomy surgery in December 2025, my overall experience was great. Dr. Radhika clearly explained me all available treatment options for my fibroids. After different treatments we decided to go for the surgery. Again received very detailed explanation and support before and after surgery. I will highly recommend Dr Padmagirison for her expertise and experience in this field.
