I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

Mr Sinan Barazi

I was referred to Mr. Barazi due to spinal cord compression resulting from my professional duties as a dentist. I was experiencing numbness in my lower limbs and was concerned that impairment of my hands and fingers might prevent me from continuing my work. Upon meeting Mr. Barazi, I immediately felt at ease. His approachable manner, calm demeanor, and confidence reassured me that I was in the hands of an exemplary surgeon for my cervical myelopathy. I had conducted prior research on Mr. Barazi and was confident in his surgical expertise. However, the rapport we established was so genuine that I felt no reservations or apprehension about proceeding with the operation. Mr. Barazi explained the nature of my condition and emphasized that delaying treatment could rapidly lead to paralysis due to the swift progression of my symptoms. He reassured me that he had performed the anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) procedure over 500 times. He also cautioned that, owing to the severity of the compression, some nerve-related symptoms might not resolve entirely. The surgery proceeded as planned and was successful. The entire medical team provided excellent care, and I felt privileged during my recovery at the Harley Street Clinic. Since the procedure, the tingling in my toes persists; however, my balance and mobility have nearly returned to normal. I consider myself fortunate to have been treated by Mr. Barazi. He is an outstanding surgeon of the highest caliber, whose kindness and quiet confidence made my journey to surgery as smooth as possible. I had a treatment for an arthritic big toe at Gecko Fitness Clinic, using a product called Cingal under ultra sound guidance and I genuinely can’t believe the difference it has made. Before the treatment, pain and stiffness were really limiting what I could do, especially with sport. I’m currently away snowboarding, and the improvement has been incredible. Pain has been significantly reduced, movement feels much freer, and I’m able to enjoy the slopes without constantly worrying about my toe. It’s made a huge difference to both comfort and confidence. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They were constantly checking on me to ensure I was comfortable, and they never made me feel rushed; they absolutely made sure I was feeling good and stable before they let me go home. The facility itself was impressively clean, which made me feel much more at ease, and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually great! He explained everything clearly, took time to answer my questions, and ensured I felt informed and reassured at every stage. Yesterday I had a phone call from Mr Yang who came up with a plan for my latest UTI . We had a full and informative discussion. Within 5 mons of his call I had a private prescription emailed to me and within 30 mins I had a phone call from Forbury saying my UTI vaccine was ready for collection. I went to the Forbury and the vaccine was all ready for me complete with cooling pack to keep it cold. During the afternoon I also received a very accurate clinic letter from Mr Yang and copied to my GP. All very speedy and efficient and much appreciated.

My experience during my visit for day surgery was very good overall. The nurses and physiotherapist were young but capable. The anaesthetists were very helpful both before and after my operation. The surgeon was brisk and efficient. I was perhaps a little surprised that he didn't come to see me after the operation. The quality of the snack I was offered after the operation was poor: crisps and a sandwich with stodgy bread. Hardly nutritious recovery food!

I was able to unmask myself and let her see me how I really am, very different from a previous ADHD and autism assessment with a different provider. She was extremely thorough and asked questions in a way that she was able to tease out answers when I was stuck but did not ask leading questions. She was very empathetic and kind even though she obviously had to follow a script and procedure.

Mr Rajkumar quickly diagnosed what seemed to be quite a rare condition, and gave me lots of advice on how to recover and how long it could take. He was always fast at responding to any questions and importantly, he was very good at keeping up my positivity throughout a journey of 6 months recovery which in reality was a very hard time.
