Ms. Shalini was my OB consultant at UCLH Fitzrovia, and I couldn’t be happier with the support she provided throughout my pregnancy. I began searching for a consultant during my first trimester and came across glowing reviews about Ms. Shalini. I booked an initial face-to-face consultation to understand her maternity support package and see if our communication styles aligned — which was really important to me. She struck the perfect balance between being compassionate and direct, and we connected immediately. I decided to go ahead with her 28-week package. The 28-week package included biweekly check-ups, with blood pressure and urine tests each time for peace of mind. She also advised on the timing of scans to monitor the baby’s growth. In the final weeks, we met more frequently. At around 32 weeks, although I passed the glucose challenge test earlier, a growth scan raised concerns. Ms. Shalini quickly arranged a repeat glucose test at UCLH, which confirmed I had gestational diabetes. She created a tailored diet plan and monitored my progress daily. With her guidance, I managed to control it well, and both the baby and I remained healthy. Due to the diabetes, we discussed the risks of a natural birth if the baby grew too large. Ms. Shalini clearly explained the pros and cons of natural birth vs. C-section, and I ultimately opted for a C-section. Birth experience: My water broke a day before my scheduled C-section. I called Ms. Shalini immediately, and she advised me to go to UCLH for monitoring. Since everything seemed fine, I went home. The next day the procedure went smoothly. Ms. Shalini encouraged me to see it as a “birth day” rather than a surgery, she was even helping me do my hair so I could feel good and capture the moment in photos. Her calm and reassuring presence made me feel completely safe throughout. When I experienced a brief drop in blood pressure after the surgery, she promptly arranged a scan to rule out any complications. Two months on, my wound has healed well and I feel healthy — I couldn’t be happier with my choice.

Dr Shaikh is nothing short of amazing! She was professional, understanding, warm and extremely knowledgeable. Dr Shaikh looked into my eye, asked previous history and showed me a diagram of the eye, explained my condition in depth (no jargon) ensuring I understood and was able to answer all of my questions. I attended the clinic with red itchy sore eyes, tension in and around my eyes/ head. Dr Shaikh, diagnosed a severe eye allergy, provided a prescription and a prompt detailed letter with her findings. I have been following Dr Shaikhs recommendations and I am starting to see improvements in my eyes and booked a future follow up appointment on the same day. I cannot thank Dr Shaikh enough. I highly recommend.

I recently saw Mr Aylott at his 'one-stop' clinic for my chronic lower back pain and stiffness. After having an MRI scan, Mr Aylott discussed the findings in detail and reassured me that my pain/stiffness would not get any worse and that it was still ok to exercise (within reason). Mr Aylott also gave me the option of having an injection if I felt I needed it. This made me feel a lot more relaxed knowing that I have another route to try if physiotherapy does not work. The 'one stop' procedure was very efficient and Mr Aylott very thorough. I would highly recommend.

I came here for my pre operative appointment with Mr Dunbar. It was such a serene environment to be, the reception area is quiet comfy, the receptionist was highly helpful, all the staffs there were amazing. Waiting time was within 10 to 15 minutes. Mr Dunber is an amazing Surgeon, he did my right hip replacement now am here for my left knee replacement. Optimised Care Hospital is really a beautiful place to be and I highly recommend them to anyone ready for his or her surgery.

My appointment was at 4.30pm but I arrived at the hospital at 2pm. I was delighted that I was called in to see Mr. Ijaz Ahmad at 2.30pm. He listened to my concerns and was very thorough with my treatment. He also arranged for me to have a hearing test while I was there. Everything done and dusted by 3pm and I was home by 4.30pm. A wonderful experience.
