I am so incredibly grateful to Mr Chalhoub and feel so fortunate to have recently been under his expert care. I only wish I had found him sooner. I had been struggling for over a year with symptoms and saw consultants locally, both NHS and privately. These consultations only served to make me more anxious as I was given conflicting advice, ultimately I was told my only option was to risk leaving things or have open surgery which they said was complicated due to my previous history. I was so worried and couldn’t decide what to do for the best. Then, after much research and reading many reviews, I found Mr Chalhoub in London and one phone call to Sarah, his amazing practice manager, changed everything. Sarah genuinely listened to me and after talking to her I felt encouraged to have a consultation with Tony. That consultation was incredible, for the first time in over a year I felt confidence and optimism. Tony listened to me very carefully, explained my options very clearly and within a few weeks I had had a total (minimally invasive) hysterectomy and felt fantastic. I can honestly say my recovery was remarkable - I felt completely like myself again so quickly and had to deliberately stop myself from doing too much as I felt so good. Not only is Tony is an exceptionally talented surgeon (I only have two tiny marks as evidence of the surgery!) he is also so kind, understanding and caring. I can genuinely say that from that very first phone call with Sarah, through surgery and the follow up calls, I have felt truly and comprehensively cared for and know I have been in the most expert of hands. I simply can’t recommend Mr Chalhoub and his team highly enough, my family and I will always be truly grateful.

This was a positive experience. Srijune was so very kind and helpful in my pre- treatment discussion, administration of anti biotic medication and questionnaire. She offered to hold my hand during the injection, made sure I was okay, ensured I had some tea and biscuits whilst waiting before I could leave and came to let me know that it was safe for me to leave. She also answered my call when I got home as I’d felt a cramp-like pain in my calf . Thanks Srijano Mr Jones was kind, genial, professional and as gentle as he could be with the procedure. He chatted to me during the procedure , telling me about the scan that was showing the fluid on/ around my knee and was happy to answer my question about what the fluid was that he was removing etc. He told me that I’d get a call from him in a few months time to check how I’m getting on rather than a face to face follow up. I was given assorted leaflets with exercises, ICRS registry , free online rehab programme and physiotherapists Charlie and Nick at the Better team . I was thrilled when I went to walk out of the hospital, to find that I was able to walk normally without any limping. Yes the anaesthetic was probably helping but it made me feel positive about the treatment . I expect it’ll be a little tender once that has worn off but fingers crossed all will be well .

I have recently had a hysterectomy performed by Professor Bunkheila. The operation was a great success and I cannot thank the Professor enough for his compassion and care from my initial appointment through to the post op consultation. Professor Bunkheila was the nicest gentleman to deal with, listened to all my concerns and was reassuring and professional when discussing all the pros and cons to having such a procedure. His kind, caring manner made me feel so comfortable and after many years of extreme pain and debilitating medical conditions, I felt finally that someone was actually listening to me and could make a difference. I was very poorly at my initial consultation and now feel 100% recovered and it has been truly life changing. Professor Bunkheila and his medical team of anaesthetists were wonderful on the two occasions of my surgery as I was very nervous, but both times they were so reassuring. All the staff were very kind and efficient, my personal ward room was clean and the catering was very good. I would also like to thank a particular gentleman called Anil who performed my pre operative assessment blood tests, I am very needle phobic and was terrified but he ensured that it was done swiftly and with such kindness towards me, I was so grateful.

Mr Northeast examined my condition at the initial appointment and confirmed that I needed umbilical hernia repair surgery. He explained what the procedure would entail and how my day to day life would be impacted for 4 to 6 weeks after the operation. He also answered all the questions I had about the procedure. He sought the requisite funding for my operation and kept myself and my GP updated on progress. I was fortunate to obtain a cancellation and so my operation date was sooner than I had anticipated. The operation went smoothly and I had very little pain or discomfort following the operation. I subsequently returned to see Mr Northeast approximately 4 weeks after the operation where he examined me and advised me the operation had been a complete success and advised me what I should avoid doing until the full 6 weeks post operation period was complete. Overall I was very pleased with the entire experience and grateful for his expertise.

Asked to be 15 mins early for scan, but then not called until 30 mins or so after time of appointment without any prior indication of running late (perhaps because it was at 6pm ). Head scanner was still busy so junior radiologer kindly chatted to me for 15 mins after I'd changed to kill time. Having been told it would take 15 mins, scan took about 45 mins and team forgot to talk to me or put music on despite me saying I was a bit claustrophic (but can get by ok). Then at 8pm, no doubt in rush to scan next person, they didn't remove cannula so i wandered around to find another staff member to do that who happily obliged. Not a major problem but not up to Cleveland usual standards. Staff were all very friendly though, but perhaps clinic shouldn't book in patients at end of day if they can't really handle them properly.

After the first right eye cataract removal Mazen Tahhan gave me his telephone number and said to call him if I had a problem. I am a very keen insect photographer and found with the distance lens I could not see the camera screen clearly. I became worried about the impact on my ability to focus close up on insects. About 8 p.m. I sent him a text briefly outlining my concerns . He called me back immediately and listened carefully. I was even considering other options than the NHS lens and he kindly sent details of these. However he advised me to I stay with a close-up NHS lens to get as much light into the eye as possible. I followed his advice and am very pleased and very satisfied with the result. Sabina George

My overall experience at the clinic was exceptional. When I first booked my appointment it was scheduled for a week later, but I asked whether there might be any cancellations before then. The team were incredibly helpful and thoughtful — they called me back and arranged for me to be seen the very same day. From start to finish, the service was efficient, compassionate, and reassuring. At what was a very anxious time for me, everyone I dealt with was kind, responsive, and professional. The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. I didnt visit a practice, this was a blood test that was sent by post to me with an at home kit. So my rating is based on the blood test. I will visit a practice in early February to do a skin check. But everything was packed securely and sent quickly, and you appear to have received it very quickly and given me a result within a day of receiveing my blood, which I fully appreciate. The only thing I would mention about the process was the amount of blood I could get out of three fingers was less than what you asked for. Luckily it was enough for you to do the test.

On the of the procedure he came to see me to make sure that I had understood what was involved and any concerns. After the surgery and the following days during my stay in the hospital her visited until I was discharged. Mr Kempshall recommended a full custom made knee replacement as I was suffering severe arthritis in the kneecap, and was in constant pain. He was extremely approachable, knowledgeable and professional. I have been extremely pleased with my progress (6 weeks in), which I’m sure was aided by the ice home rehab system he recommended. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and if I have any further issues with my knees I will certainly return.
