It was a pleasure to meet with Matt Wright again following our consultations and procedures in 2019 and before, when he cured my atrial fibrillation. Thanks to his specialist care, I have been able to successfully carry on running my antique business from my gallery in Pimlico.. Accordingly, it was very reassuring to discover that he had recognised my name after my recent visit to A and E at St Thomases and had been advising on further tests and treatment following the analysis of my seven day monitor. Having explained to him that I had stopped taking the prescribed Bisoprolol 2.5 mg after three days, as it very quickly took my blood pressure down to 50, he recommended that I re-start on 1.25 mg. This reduction appears to have so far done the trick, as my pulse has dropped to mid 60s which is bearable. In conclusion I am so relieved to once again know that Matt is keeping an eye on me and that his ear is available should I need reassurance.

I don’t think there’s ever been another time in my life when I’ve given more than one review (and even then I’ve only done so when I thought whatever the particular activity, service, whatever has been exemplary). I’ll make an exception for Mr Scala and his team by giving a second review. I’ve had various challenges with my eyes over most of my life (at least partly as a result of being very short sighted) and issues related to my eyes scare me silly. Against this backdrop, I cannot recommend Mr Scala and his team more highly - I could go on with various experiences etc, but think it sufficient to simply say I would not go to anyone else by choice … I don’t think there’s anyone better.

My doctor, Dr. Moreno, was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. My medical assistant, Manon, was also wonderful. She was very responsive to all my emails and inquiries and made me feel supported every step of the way. No complaints about the staff or the appointment. BUT: 1. The waiting time for a porter to wheel a disabled patient was too long. The only wheelchair available for use by an accompanying person was seriously damaged [no footrests]. 2. the wait by the lifts took 28 minutes. After selecting the floor we needed, it kept saying lift C, then changed to E then A and so on. A nightmare. They need more porters [who are always unfailingly nice and polite] and more wheelchairs, and a better system.

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight. I contacted Cathedral Eye Clinic who assured me it was common and was easily corrected. They made an appointment and in less than an hour my sight was restored. I was dealth with by very friendly and professional staff and would happily recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone .
