I am a medical doctor myself and so have an idea of what good quality care looks like and Dr Jose is excellent. He is caring, detail-oriented and highly evidence-based in his assessment and individualized treatment planning. My case was a bit of an outlier in that I had a lung infection that is very rarely seen for my age and baseline level of fitness and so I was essentially passed over by the NHS and another physician because I seemed not sick enough for more definitive treatment and investigations despite my complaints that I was not getting better and expressing that something was not right within myself. Dr Jose listened and gave me the inpatient treatment, thorough investigations and outpatient follow-ups that I needed for curative treatment and I am now back to my healthy normal self. I’m very grateful for his care and would highly recommend him.

The Spire is a very clean and well equipt hospital but with limited parking. However, my last trip to the spire hartswood had an hours delay before I was seen, which isnt ideal. My thoughts on this is if Reform get their way and sell off NHS that private sector is no better equipt to deal with volume than NHS. Tjat daid onve seen I was treated by a lovely nurse Marianne who was very caring and jolly which made yhe appointment a very pmeasurable experience.

The Spire has excellent facilities (car parking, waiting area, consulting rooms etc) and the reception staff are very attentive and helpful. The “formal check in” using an iPad is an unnecessary hurdle for patients to negotiate. The earlier system of just checking in with the receptionist was much better. My appointment with Dr. Balerdi was on time and a very useful session. Re. Dr. Balerdi himself, my very postive comments are in an earlier section.

This consultant is an absolute breath of fresh air. Her service and bed side manner is what all clinicians should aspire to. She is unique and I would like her to be my family doctor for everything. I’m genuinely blown away by everything she has done. I don’t want to have to see her again but if I had to see any doctor ever again I’d want it to be her. She is the only surgeon I would trust 100% with my whole family.

I can’t be positive enough about my experience at Spire with Dr Hodge. After 6 years of not feeling heard or having answers relating to my daughter’s eczema, it was such a relief to have this appointment. Dr Hodge really took an interest in all of my daughter’s history and finally gave us answers as to what causes it. He gave us clear advice and information and was fantastic with my little girl. Patronising, no evidence had read prefilled questionnaire, or previous history. Despite personal discomfort I described, the only response was to leave things as they were, lack of initiative. Lack of empathy. I was asked to book an appt sooner rather than later which I did, and then during the appt I was told to leave things as they were for another couple of months. Very dissatisfied with the service.

I would highly rate not only my visit today with Mr Gowda but the whole hip replacement process, which for me was very daunting never having had any kind of surgery at all in my 69 years, save for wisdom teeth removal. He was professional and courteous and I felt in very safe and knowledgeable hands. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Gowda to anyone contemplating hip replacement surgery.

Mr Tadtayev explained clearly and carefully the outcomes from my histological report, and my progress in recovery from surgery. He also explained clearly the next actions for dealing with my leiomyosarcoma and the plan for addressing my kidney disease. Throughout the appointment Mr Tadtayev answered my questions and addressed my concerns clearly and with a great amount of tact and realism.
