This was my first colonoscopy procedure so I didn’t know what to expect and was quite anxious. Looking at the patient reviews on this site beforehand really helped me so I wanted to add my own comments here as well. The 2 day preparation for my late afternoon procedure (fasting and drinking the cleansing medication) was actually the worst part, however I followed the instructions and kept myself very hydrated throughout, that along with a couple of boiled sweets in the last couple of hours to stop the hunger pangs really helped. The clinic staff were all really friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived and talked me through the process throughout so I knew what to expect. I had sedation for the procedure itself which was completely painless, and I got the results quickly. At all times my wellbeing was prioritised by the staff, with 1 to 1 nursing and a very welcome drink and biscuit afterwards. Special thanks from me to Roberta and Dr Khan, and my aftercare nurse whose name I forgot (sorry!)

I appreciate that he advised against the procedure and instead explained alternative treatment paths. My daughter is also a very satisfied patient, and we are both thankful for the quality of care she had received after struggling to find the right treatment previously. This was a follow-up appointment. It should have been after 2 weeks but because the practitioner works very part-time this wasn’t possible. She then said I should have been in sooner! Treatment not as successful as with past practitioners before we moved to this area (I had brought records to first appointment but she had suggested a different approach). Further treatment offered on the day of the follow-up but I felt the practitioner was getting very defensive and I was losing confidence, so I declined. When I was waiting to go in someone else was trying to book a follow-up appointment. When she couldn’t get one desk staff said it probably didn’t matter as most people don’t need it! This clinic suits me location wise but unfortunately this wasn’t a great experience so I won’t go back.

I was very pleased with my visit to The Forbury Clinic, and was really impressed with how clean and tidy it was, the receptionist was very pleasant and showed my wife and myself upstairs to the waiting area, it was very nice to meet Alexia, we both thought she was extremely pleasant and was very pleased with her examination of my issue, and look forward to my next meeting with her. It was also very nice to meet with Doctor Savage, a very nice gentleman, very courteous to the both of us ,was very patient and was again ,pleased with his time and advice, Thank you all very much. No problems with check in or with the meeting with Mr Krkovic. However the hospital is showing signs of neglect. The loo in the corridor outside Trinity Suite had no paper towels and and a completely overflowed waste bin. The coffee machine in Trinity was broken in October and is still broken in January. The former quite serious, the latter not serious but to be not fixed over so many months suggests neglect and that always raises the possibility that things I can't see are also neglected. SIte management needs shake-up.

Mr Mohamed Boshnaq

I really couldn't be happier or more grateful for the care I received from Dr Boshnaq. From the first consultation, he explained the procedure (laproscopic cholecystectomy) clearly and had plenty of time and patience to answer any questions. The procedure itself went completely smoothly and Dr Boshnaq has a very calm bedside manner. So pleased that I was able to have treatment with him at the Spencer wing and would absolutely recommend him and the hospital to anyone needing similar procedures.

The staff at Cathedral Clinic were very professional and tried to make me comfortable. However the actual procedure was not an enjoyable experience. having anaesthetic injected into my eye was very traumatic and having gone through the procedure before and it not 100% and having to return for Laser. I so hope that my left eye will not have the same result. Overall I would recommend the clinic and staff to anyone who has to have the procedure done. Bernadette M.

The clinic is easy to find, just off the motorway. I was made a cup of tea when I arrived. The doctor was very pleasant and patient whilst I listed my many and confusing health symptoms. I felt listened to and understood. It was so good to have the time to elaborate in a way that you cannot in a traditional doctor appointment. think we have a plan going forward which will help. Fingers crossed.

Visit was generally satisfactory. However, after arrival I was ignored for almost an hour, well past my appointment time. The front desk noted my arrival and then seemed to forget about me. This was unnerving at a time when I was already anxious and an unnecessary delay for those accompanying. There was no apology when the error pointed out.
