⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Care from Mr Isaac Ahmed – Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon I had my hip replaced in October 2025 and I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Isaac Ahmed. From my very first consultation through to the day I was discharged, the entire process was absolutely second to none. Mr Ahmed is without doubt one of the most approachable, empathetic, and genuinely caring surgeons I have ever encountered. Having undergone a variety of procedures with different consultants over the years, I can confidently say that his care truly stands out as five-star in every sense. The surgical team he worked with at The Spire were equally exceptional. Their professionalism was evident throughout, yet they also created such a calm and reassuring atmosphere. Even with plenty of laughter in the anaesthetist’s room, I felt completely at ease and confident that I was in the best possible hands. My recovery has been remarkable. I had no issues following surgery, was off sticks and crutches within three weeks, and by week seven I was moving freely with no pain at all. Thank you, Mr Ahmed, for an outstanding surgical experience and for giving me my mobility back. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone considering hip replacement surgery.

Mr Basu is an excellent surgeon and a really wonderful man. He has carried out two recent surgical procedures on both my wife and I. My wife was for the removal of her gall bladder and mine was for a complicated inguinal hernia. We are both in our mid 70's On both occasions Mr Basu was wonderful, on our first meeting he explained the procedure to us in plain language that we could understand, he put us at ease and gave us total confidence in the procedure that he would carry out. On the day of the procedure he came and met us in the private room and he again discussed what he was going to do and why. He allayed all our fears and was so friendly and empathetic and put us totally at ease. Both procedures went perfectly with excellent results and when we met him for our follow up appointments he was so caring and friendly. Mr Basu is wonderful and a wonderful and caring man. Mr Skyrme has been amazing since my first consultation. Following 9 months of sudden severe hip pain which totally curtailed walking and diminished a lot of my activity, I was very desperate to find a solution as I’m super sporty and keeping fit and active is a huge part of my life and my work. It transpired that I needed a hip replacement (at 42) but Mr Skyrme was amazing. My surgery was quick and I recovered really quickly. I was able to return to my physical job at 6 weeks post surgery and I am enjoying increasing amounts of exercise both in the gym and on my bikes. I’m so grateful that I’m able to get back to enjoying my life:-) Mr Skyrme has been super supportive, kind and caring throughout my whole journey!

It’s underneath my chin, lopsided, on top of any tissue, not even near my chin bone, and they refute 2nd opinions I’ve had that there’s anything wrong with this. They also promised me a referral for a CT scan for months but keep deferring. So I’ve had to arrange these scans myself to get proof needed. Made a formal complaint and didn’t even get a written response. Independent adjudication (ISCAS) next then Small Claims. They will not take responsibility for negligence/errors so beware! Please pass on so people are aware - as this needs to be made public

I had an online ADHD assessment with Bernhard Kelley-Patterson. Bernhard was very friendly and professional, I felt at ease throughout the appointment and would happily talk with him again. So far my experience with Skylight has been very positive, the wait times between communication emails are generally 3-5 days and it took approximately 8 weeks to get my first appointment after the registering my interest. Considering the NHS waiting list for an ADHD assessment is 4 years, I’d say that pretty damn good. I would highly recommend opting for Skylight through the ‘Right to Choose’ pathway via the NHS. The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. My surgery took place there and had to stay overnight due to vertigo and dizziness. The hospital was friendly, new and pristine. The nursing staff outstanding as well as of course the medical team. I had dinner and breakfast and it was also healthy and delicious. Yesterday I returned to have the dressing removed and it was equally good. If any criticism would be to the pharmacy with a 30minute wait to get my prescription and also despite being a Bupa hospital not having the availity to charge Bupa for medication- I am under Bupa Global and in other Bupa hospitals this is the case.

I visited twice due to a stiffness in my neck. Rey was exceptionally friendly from the start and I felt I was listened to and he understood the issues I had been experiencing. I was very happy with the treatment feeling a notable difference minutes after the first session. They really do give good customer service and will not try to add extra, unnecessary sessions to get more money - my treatment lasted two sessions, and I was told to listen to my body and get back in contact if and when I need to. I will definitely be going back, even if it’s just for a quick readjustment.

I had booked a vitamin infusion. The whole experience was a desaster. The nurses used several needles but were not able to “find a good Vene” as they called it. They said my venes are the problem which is ridiculous as I had been to your place to get infusions multiple times and there never was a problem. As a result, I now have three large bruises and my arms hurt. I left without getting the infusion. The ladies did not even apologize. In my view, they should get proper training both when it comes to doing injections and servicing clients. I will not return.

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.
