I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mr Mistry for the fantastic surgery that he performed on my right thumb. I am now pain free in the right thumb and it is in a much better position after many years of discomfort and being told nothing could be done . I could not fault my treatment from start to finish at the Spire Alexander Hospital. One thing that would just make it absolutely perfect is if in the coming months it would be possible to consider having the hand therapist attached to the Alexandra so that the procedure is started and finished at the one Hospital. Whilst MCH hand therapist we're very quick and helpful it was very difficult getting in touch with them if you had a problem with the splint etc . I do think that it would just help to make people feel a lot more secure if as I say it was all under the one Hospital.

Considering the life changing operation that I was undertaking I was made to feel both at ease & confident in their skills & at no time did I worry about a sucessful outcome to the proceedure & recovery. I was given a full breakdown of what was going to happen & when unsure of my understanding I had all my questions answered clearly & patiently. The operation itself went very smoothly from my perspective & every step of my recovery time at the hospital was made comfortable & professionally by the lovely staff there in excellent facilities. I recently had a hysterectomy at this hospital the surgeon was brilliant but during my stay in the hospital I was appalled by how I was treated. Staff were friendly but some of them when I needed them ignored me. A specialist nurse from my consultant had to advocate for me. Upon discharge, one of my stitches had been left in which then went on to cause other issues. I was then chased severally for payment when I had made clear and provided authorisation codes from my insurer. I was not impressed with service from the hospital itself at all. But my consultant was brilliant.

I had bilateral lens replacements last Thursday (27/11/2025) and the team could not have been more careful if they tried. The surgeon, Mr Puri, was excellent. My eyes are recovering really well with no problems., this was confirmed by my first post-op check-up today - a bit earlier than usual because of planned plane flights. Assess,et and post-op Sheffield, surgery in Newark. Staff in both locations are wonderful.

I am 78 and for most of my life I have been an active sportsman, hence the knees, which severely restricted my mobility and adversely affecting my quality of life.
