My experience with the GP service has been extremely disappointing and, quite frankly, distressing. The whole process has left me feeling frustrated, unheard, and deeply concerned about the lack of progress in understanding what is actually happening with my symptoms. My first GP visit was towards the end of June, and yet, now in September, I am still no closer to identifying exactly what is causing my symptoms. Despite undergoing various checks and investigations, I have repeatedly been advised to have further checks, followed by even more waiting. This has been an incredibly frustrating and exhausting experience. I understand that medical investigations can take time and that not every condition can be diagnosed immediately. The amount of uncertainty and waiting has caused me a huge amount of anxiety and distress. I expected to receive appropriate medical support and a clear plan for investigating my symptoms, but instead I have been left feeling increasingly frustrated and disappointed with the care and communication I have received. What has been particularly upsetting was my most recent visit, where I underwent a biopsy. The procedure itself was already a stressful experience, but to then receive a report stating that the sample was insufficient and that I now need to undergo a second biopsy has been extremely disappointing and distressing. I am extremely disappointed with how this entire process has been handled. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this experience has caused me significant distress and has left me with very little confidence in the process.

Mr Jarnail Bal

Mr. Bal is a highly skilled, professional, and compassionate neurosurgeon who consistently went above and beyond expectations throughout every stage of my care: from the initial diagnosis and pre-surgery preparation to the surgery itself and all post-operative follow-up. What particularly stood out was how accessible and responsive he was throughout the entire process. He was always available when we had questions or concerns, took the time to explain things clearly, and made us feel that my care remained a priority even outside of scheduled appointments. The surgery itself, a craniotomy, was performed with exceptional skill, precision, and care. This attention to detail extended to every aspect of my post-operative care, including the dressing of the surgical site, monitoring my recovery, and the eventual removal of the staples. Mr. Bal was also extremely diligent when additional concerns arose during my recovery. Rather than focusing solely on the neurosurgical aspects of my care, he took a proactive approach to ensuring that I received the appropriate follow-up, making timely referrals to other specialists when needed, and continuing to follow my progress closely. Throughout what was a very difficult and stressful experience, Mr. Bal combined exceptional clinical expertise with genuine compassion and commitment to his patient. I am extremely grateful for the quality of care I received and would highly recommend him to anyone requiring neurosurgical treatment.

The Focal Therapy Clinic

The initial Zoom consultation, which was for a 2nd opinion, was very precise in reviewing the prognosis and treatment plan. Whilst wanting to discuss potential treatment options the consultant advised that there was only one recommended treatment based on my scans. The consultant advised that my NHS biopsy was not telling the full story when cross checked with the MRI scan. His recommendation was a nerve sparing rarp prostatectomy sooner rather than later. A 2nd face to face consultation detailed why this was the recommendation and the structure of the surgery which was then scheduled 2 weeks later. Following a successful procedure the histology proved the consultant was correct in his diagnosis in that the cancer was worse than the NHS biopsy and prognosis reports. In fact the cancer was just breaking out and additional bladder work was required showing the cancer was really caught just in time before spread. The knowledge and skill of the surgeon was key to providing the right advice and surgical outcome. The first PSA was 0.01 but due to the breakout the possibilities of any future reoccurrence remained. Surgical recovery has gone to plan with no incontinence issues and going positive direction on ED recovery.

London Finsbury Clinic

I am beyond impressed by the level of expertise and precision provided at the London Finsbury Clinic. The clinic is lead by Dr Eroglu MD, and provides an exceedingly professional level of care compared to most London aestheticians and injectors, who often don’t require as much experience and practise in order to receive an injector qualification. I was skeptical of collagen boosters like juvelook in regards to building volume in areas like tear troughs, but my results have proven me too harsh a skeptic. 2 months post juve eyes treatment there is significant reduction in discolouration and hollowing. I have just had my second treatment today. Dr Eroglu also has a very positive attitude towards his work and is very patient and accommodating. The environment is friendly and relaxed, he took time to answer all my queries, and even provided me some doctors insight on another small medical concern instead of being corporate and sterile in his approach to patient communications.

The procedure (angioplasty) was painless and whilst there appeared to be some problems which resulted in the procedure taking a bit longer than anticipated I felt it was well executed. There was a slight degree of bruising from the RP screen but nothing significant. Overall I felt that the doctor’s approach meant that my experience was as positive as, given the circumstances, it could be and would be grateful if this could somehow be conveyed to Dr Karthikeyan and the team. Dr Laleh (apologies, I cannot recall her surname) was especially supportive during the recovery period as well as during the procedure. Please accept my deepest gratitude and sincere thanks.

I had a very positive experience with Mr Hamid Abboudi. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, but what I appreciated most was how well he communicated throughout the whole process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what was happening, which really helped to put me at ease. Appointments were easy to arrange, everything ran on time, and the whole experience felt very well organised and professional. His calm and reassuring manner made what could have been a stressful medical experience feel much easier and more comfortable. I was apprehensive about attending my out patient appointment which I had requested because I sought a second opinion regarding my eye conditions. Everything was very easy and I need not have worried. All the Pre-visit information was helpful. From my consultants secretary, Jean Gray. She could not have been more through. The nurse I saw for tests and eye drops was kind and reassuring, and answered many of my questions. She put me at ease. The consultant Prof da Cruz had a lovely manner and again answered all my questions without making me feel ignorant. I was most impressed with the whole set up at New Cavendish Street.

Mr Nawar Abdulsattar

Complete hip replacement: Mr Abdulsattar, explained things clearly both before and after the operation. He listened to my concerns and made me feel confident and secure in the procedure. The operation went well and I was immediately free from the pain I experience pre operatively. Use of pain relief medication, exercises etc. were explained clearly before I left hospital the next day. In my post op appointment he checked on an issue he had seen during the surgery to ensure it want an on going problem. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Abdulsattar to anyone needing this procedure.

I consulted with Mr Asif Haq due to long standing circumstances. Mr Haq care and medical leadership denoted from the very first consultation. My circumstances escalated to emergency, and Mr Haq coordinated the surgery within hours. His after surgery care was exceptional. He provided me with the right resources to carry on with pain management and devised the next steps with clarity and professionalism. I would recommend Mr Asif Haq and if I had the opportunity to choose him as my surgeon, I would do it again. Thank you for caring, Asif!

My experience was good. The receptionist was nice in my greeting. The next person, who took me into the room initially, was friendly too. I do think they could have given me more of a heads up of what the eye drops would do. I literally could not read my phone screen for 2/3 hours after receiving the drops and I was really not ready for that. It was a good thing I knew the time of the bus home already as I couldn’t have read it from my phone. The consultant was ok, not the most personable.

He is a gentle, kind man whose surgical skill has resulted in two good outcomes for me. I am an anxious patient and he always treats me with compassion and patience. Mr Hislop operated my left hip as I had severe osteoarthritis this July 2026 . I am delighted with the outcome , I have a small scar which is healing nicely. Spire Parkway is a great hospital. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Head office is in a bit of a state but I blame corporate for the cost cutting rather than spire. However it does mean sometimes that you are repeating yourself with a lot of information as it's not been passed to the hospital or administered correctly.
