I was seen by a young male dentist (apologies, he did tell me but I can't recall his name and it isn’t listed on the website – perhaps he is new). He was professional, informative, and efficient throughout my appointment. As I’m allergic to local anaesthetics, fillings can be particularly uncomfortable, but he was very reassuring and took great care, as did the dental nurse. By far, this has been the best service I’ve experienced at the practice to date. My only critique is not directed at the dentist himself, but rather the practice’s policy. Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed that patients cannot book a filling replacement directly without first having a pre-booking consultation. This essentially doubles both the cost and the time needed off work. In my case, a chipped filling was causing pain due to decay, and it was obvious that a replacement filling was required. I had to insist several times when booking that I did not need a pre-assessment, only a filling appointment. Given that I am a private patient and a silver filling costs almost £200, being charged for an unnecessary pre-booking simply to confirm what is already evident feels unreasonable.

Last year I had the cataract in my right eye removed in Moorfields Private Eye Clinic. The consultant, Mr Vincenzo Maurino, was calm, professional and very kind. He immediately put me at ease. I felt strongly I could place complete trust in his care. Everything was explained clearly, and the whole process was handled with such skill and reassurance. A few months ago, when my optician told me that I needed the cataract removed in my left eye, I didn’t have any hesitation and booked an appointment with Mr Maurino at Moorfields. Once again, the care and professionalism were outstanding. Everyone on the staff was so good and helpful. The nurses were very kind, efficient and thoughtful. They even offered tea and biscuits afterwards (perhaps the best biscuits I’ve ever had)! Very soon after the surgery, my vision has improved so much that the world has become clearer. I am very grateful for the wonderful treatment I received.

Cataract op. performed by Mr Ting and team On arrival nurses prepared me by 3/4 doses of eye drops over 30 minutes with pleasant reassuring chat. When taken in for the op Mr Ting and staff were very calm and chatted to me asking questions , checking and rechecking which eye was to be done. On the table I was given instructions to open my eye and stare at a very bright light which after a minute or two I could do. Op proceeded painlessly with assuring commentary from Mr Ting as to progress. 15-20 minutes later it was all done. Being a bit rickety (at 81 yrs young) staff helped me to sit up , get my bearings and assist me to the Post Op lady to be briefed on my next 4 weeks of care which I dutifully followed. For anyone due for a cataract op NHS at Midland Eye should be their first choice. Many thanks for Mr Ting and his very professional excellent team

I can’t believe I have been sent a message asking how my appointment went and asking to rate my experience I attended my appointment to have my procedure done, the doctor went through details that had already been disgusted and proceeded to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to get the arranged procedure done as she was leaving and from a professional point of view she could not do it as she would not be there for my follow up appointment. So I’m still wondering where the professionalism was when no one contacted me to inform me of this only to be turned away after I drove an hours journey to get to my oppointment and an hour home again. A simple phone call would have been professional. This was not that the doctor was off sick or something last minute, she was leaving and was very blasé about it. Absolutely no professionalism here at all

I have only had an initial interaction with one of the doctors at the female health doctor MK, so far I've fiubd the service to be very quick with a variation of cost affective options for the first conversation. I personally have been met with finally feeling heard from a professional in the medical field after a year and a half of constant GP appointments and being on referral waiting list for over a year. I have been advised about a test package to help me further with my specific issues, and have had nothing short of polite communication and quick responses. I would so far 100% recommend any female to reach out to this company for help with their health.

My wife is in hospital for an operation today and due to prior anxieties over NHS treatment, we asked the hospital for me to stay with my wife in the room throughout including overnight. They have been most accommodating and have bent over backwards to make it work and kept me fully informed throughout how the operation is going. The consultant was more than happy for me to ask questions both during consultations and the surgery today and has given great confidence that all will go as planned. Ward staff have been more than helpful to both of us and treated us as individuals and my wife has been provided a high level of care throughout.

Dr Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos is an excellent thoracic surgeon. Totally comfortable with his skills, communication and bedside manners. I thank him, his team and all the nursing staff who cared for me during my recent thymus surgery, pre and post surgery visits. The warm and clean hospital environment, the friendly lobby and check in staff are fabulous too! Everything was seamless and efficient. Arrived at 7 am half hour earlier than needed because my driver was nervous about traffic. Reception staff friendly. Waited while reading. Then shown in, given some questions, blood pressure test and pulse. My pulse rate is low so a few comments about that. Shown to changing area, given a locker and gown, disposable pants and dressing gown. Some more waiting and then shown to operating room. Was made comfortable and given sedation. Prof East explained what he'd done but also gave me an envelope with results so I could examine it when sedation effect worn off.
