For 6 years I have been suffering with severe abdominal pain, I have been in and out of hospital over this period of time, having seen many doctors & consultants, had multiple scans and tests etc, was put on too many medications to name, nobody picked up what the problem really was, that was until I met Dr Raza, and thank God I did! From the first scan he performed, he diagnosed Endometriosis, this had never been mentioned to me, his diagnosis was stage 3 deep infiltrating endometriosis, Dr Raza has performed robotic surgery to clear the disease, having said one of the worst cases he has ever dealt with. Approaching 4 weeks post op, I have just been to see Dr Raza, and he is over the moon at how incredible my wound has healed, one incision only via the belly button, he was really proud of his work, and absolutely so he should be, to me, he is my hero, he is truly one of the most gentle men I have ever met, along with his nurse Denia, who has been my rock throughout my recovery period. I cannot advocate Dr Raza enough, 6 years of my life totally wasted backwards and forwards in and out of hospital to no avail, until now, thank you Dr Raza and Denia, for making my future look so very much brighter, you are my saviour, and I’m proud to call myself your patient. Thank you for everything and I would not hesitate to come back to you if I need too❤️

I have just returned home after a full hip replacement. We were recommended to St Joseph’s and I can’t speak highly enough of the team and the care I received. Many things stand out. The friendly, yet professional ambience, the obviously good relations and communications across all staff. Although my visit lasted only just over 24 hours, at no time did anything feel rushed or ‘conveyor belt’. Just well organised with a feeling that I was being very well looked after. The room and facilities were first class, comfortable and super clean. The operation itself was clearly explained and went without hitch. There was a lot of experience in that room, not least of the lead consultant and anaesthetist. Recovery was also much quicker than I expected, with excellent follow on from the Physio team and 6 sessions into the future as part of the package. I would finally like to express my thanks to all the staff who have made such a positive difference for me.

The Joint Injection Clinic

A month ago I had the arthrosamid injection. I had never heard of it and initially I went online to find out how others were treating their oesteoarthritis. I found the Joint Clinic quite quickly and was amazed to read that this injection would last about 3 years rather than 3 months for the NHS cortisol injection. My knee was causing a lot of pain especially when the weather changed. I was unable to walk properly, I couldn't walk up or down stairs. My work involves walking and I really thought I would have to retire because of the pain. From day 2 of the injection, I was beginning to walk without as much pain, about 2 weeks later I wasn't limping or experiencing pain at all. It took about 3 weeks to be able to walk up and down stairs without pain. I no longer need anti inflammatory drugs (that was always hit or miss if they would work). I am very pleased with the outcome at the one month mark and I hope my knee pain is no more for years!

I am so very grateful for the support I received from him and will be eternally grateful. He even came to visit me more than once after he treated me, even though I had been moved to another ward. I was thoroughly delighted by the experience. I was booked in very swiftly and efficiently by Ms Lisa Beckles, Prof Redwood's secretary, who went out of her way to get me a quick response to my initial email requesting a consultation, arranged my stress echo and squeezed in an appointment for me on the same. The stress echo team conducted a thorough test of my cardiovascular fitness and went out of their way to provide an urgent report so that I could discuss the results with Prof Redwood only an hour after the event. My thanks to Marlene and Chiara (apologies for spelling) and to another cardiologist whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. Professor Redwood was as ever charming and efficient and told me some very good news!

Very pleasing experience. I was given plenty of time, and had a thorough examination of my ears, with the removal of wax, followed by a full hearing test. I returned a couple of weeks later, and having been shown several different hearing aids, went for ones that fit into the ear, with no wires or pieces behind the ear. I now have them on a months trial to see how I get on with them. I was quoted a price, which I understand I will pay if these are the correct ones for me, but only when I am totally satisfied. There is then a 3 monthly check included in the price. I believe I can try others if these are not right for me, and Mr Clive who I saw, was most helpful and understanding of a lady who hated the idea of wearing hearing aids!

My first visit Already aware of my main concerns. Asked what my concerns were. Asked lots of questions to see if anything else was concerning. Listened to what I had to say. Measured my weight and blood pressure. Confirmed medication I am on Colchicine one tablet was correct for my weight. Blood Pressure measurement high which has not been mentioned or monitored before. Read 190/122. Given a prescription for Candesartan 4mg. Explained dose might be increased after next consultation. Given appointment for ECG and Echo scan for 9th December 2025. Following day received email confirming outcome of visit and next appointment. Told if I had any concerns not to hesitate to make contact. Felt well looked after.

Overall experience with Dorset Heart Clinic is excellent. We telephoned to book the appointment and able to choose the time that is convenient to us. As a self funded patient, the appointment is very speedy. Administrator is also very informative and helpful including parking. The consultation is very informative and reassuring. We have chosen to see the consultant that we have seen via the NHS as he would be familiar with our condition. The emails followed up also very quick and timely with the consultation report for us to keep for our records. Any concerns have been dealt with swiftly. I had suffered from recurring sinus blockages and infections for many years, but just four weeks after surgery the difference is incredible. I can smell again, breathe freely through my nose, and even my speech has improved as I’m no longer sounding nasal. The operation itself was straightforward and done as day surgery. I felt very well looked after throughout, woke up with minimal discomfort, and my recovery has been smooth. Holly House and its staff are excellent. The whole atmosphere was one of cleanliness, professionalism and friendliness Particular mention should go to Mo, my nurse throughout the day. He was calm, honest and made me feel comfortable and that my concerns were listened to. A great asset to the staff. (My only complaint was I was told to arrive at 6.30am, as I was to be first on the list at 7.30am; to then be told my operation would not be until midday. I didn't even bring a book! However, I did get to watch four episodes of Frasier back-to-back, so it wasn't all bad!)
