Dr Darr is the most straight talking dr we have ever met told us exactly what he was doing to do our son. His care and attention has been amazing. The operation well really well. Today we went for our after care appointment to have stents removed Dr Darr was very gentle we had no idea how long they were. He went on to reassure us of the healing process and was very kind and gentle with our son who is 16 and austic. He explained to all of us what he did and how long the healing would take. We are due back in 3 months. Dr Darr's booking assistant is an amazing man called Pete i was very worried about this operation and he was so lovely explained how he knew Dr Darr and reassured me what a talented surgeon he was. Pete called me while away on holiday booked the appointment for February 2 days later called again to say a cancellation had come up for Jan 6th that was 1 day after our holiday i was hesitant but again Pete reassured me of the care and consideration they would show my Son. I know the Nhs has a bad reputation but the team around him was amazing from Pete who booked the appointment Oliver the anesthesiologist a junior surgeon who i forget her name to Sharon the nurse who gave us the best after care. Thank you to this lovely amazing team.

If you are looking for a professional , caring and specialist surgeon for your surgeries then Mr Pereira could not be a better choice . From initial consultation to procedure and after care , everything was explained and delivered with kindness and clarity . The booking process and post surgery follow up appointments were arranged efficiently with contact details easily available at every stage should you have any queries or concerns . My actual surgical procedure was as explained to me pre operatively , making me feel relaxed and calm throughout . The surgical outcome from my particular procedure is amazing with virtually no visible scars , a testament to Mr Pereiras vast surgical experience and talent . I cannot recommend Regain Aesthetics highly enough and would definitely recommend to friends and family without hesitation .

Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

I was made to wait 6 months for my cataract operations because I had a cardioversion. This is a short sedation rather than a general anaesthetic. I have been given no clinical explanations for this. I am in perfect health despite my age. I understand that a normal waiting time at other hospitals is 6 weeks with good recovery after a major operation. I suspect there are no clinical reasons, just a bureaucratic hesitation to take the slightest risk. I wonder how many patients discover that “Well soon” should be retitled “Well sometime”. Your bureaucratic incompetence is illustrated by your list of specialists which does not include the name of my surgeon, your lead ophthalmologist Dr Marzena Raszewska. It is her recorded ability that persuaded me to wait the 6 months rather than seek an alternative.

I had an initial consultation for varicose vein treatment (following a flyer in the post) and following further investigations/diagnosis I went ahead and had an operation. The whole experience from beginning to end was first class. Everything was fully explained to me and all my questions were answered before deciding on the most appropriate treatment. The operation (under local anaesthetic) went well with a nurse talking to me all the time and explaining everything which was happening as as well as distracting me! My recovery went as planned - and as explained - and a follow up visit to see the consultant was very reassuring. All in all I was very pleased with everything and would not hesitate in recommending Shepton Mallet Hospital.

I had an online ADHD assessment with Bernhard Kelley-Patterson. Bernhard was very friendly and professional, I felt at ease throughout the appointment and would happily talk with him again. So far my experience with Skylight has been very positive, the wait times between communication emails are generally 3-5 days and it took approximately 8 weeks to get my first appointment after the registering my interest. Considering the NHS waiting list for an ADHD assessment is 4 years, I’d say that pretty damn good. I would highly recommend opting for Skylight through the ‘Right to Choose’ pathway via the NHS. I first saw Dr Wright for a coil fitting 4 years ago, the building a facilities we're lovely and Sarah put me at ease straight away. She talked me through the whole process and was amazing during the procedure. 4 years later, my partner and I are considering trying for a baby, so I went back to Dr Wright for the removal. Her patient care is so refreshingly calm and personable; she's very good at what she does, having the perfect balance of care and speed. She's made what can be an uncomfortable/painful procedure, one that has been a positive experience for me.

This was my 2 nd cataract op with Mr Kamran Khan at Newmedica Leeds. I was very happy with my treatment with everyone especially Wr Kamran Khan who I can’t recommend enough, he was friendly, assuring and also the lovely nurse who looked after me after my op. Sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so caring. Anyone going for a cararact op this place is brilliant and everyone I came in contact with both times I was there I feel I couldn’t have had better. Someone calls you the following day to check that you are okay so everything perfect. Thank you all.

It was such a contrast from the NHS left eye cataract operation where I was not given the required information that there would be no compensation for my high level of astigmatism and the outcome of an even greater astigmatism due to a less than perfect lens fitting. Professor Bourne answered all my questions fully and clearly and the outcome of the operation was perfect vision in my right eye. Fantastic!
