I walked into Abbington House at rock bottom physically and mentally. The staff were very friendly, understanding, caring and reassuring. Making me feel calm and at ease. I have made significant progress and I am leaving a different person with new tools and knowledge to help me succeed on the journey. The Abbington House clients made me feel welcome and included, extremely friendly and I am grateful to have made many friends in the 5 weeks I have been here. My incredible therapist listened, un-judgmental and emphatic to me, who's care was brilliant and I will not forget the unreplaceable advice given to me. My advice from a former patient here is if you are wiling to work hard for your recovery, you have all the tools, great professionals and environment available to you.

In general I was very pleased with my own treatment. I have three suggestions about the waiting room where drops are administered. 1. When giving information/instructions, this should be spoken slowly and in correct English, or to put it the other way around, should not be rushed. 2. Where issues arise which involve detailed discussion of a personal nature with a patient, as happened when I was there, this should be conducted privately. 3. The instructions about post-op self-care should be more carefully laid out, particularly when there is a change as was the case recently. I found myself puzzling over whether to use the Hylo-Forte eye drops I had already bought to treat slight grittiness as this might be a source of infection.

100% and beyond she’s a super STAR!! I had an excellent experience with Dr. Shaz during my nerve conduction test. Although the procedure can be quite painful, she was incredibly professional, empathetic, and clear throughout the entire process. She explained everything in detail and made sure I felt as comfortable as possible. What impressed me the most was her dedication to my case—she went above and beyond to obtain accurate results and assist the specialist in achieving a better diagnosis. Dr Nicholas was my anaesthetist for my C section of my first baby in July 2025. I couldn’t recommend him enough! He made the entire experience so special. He treated me with care and compassion and I felt completely safe in his hands. Not only is he a great anaesthetist, but he was so lovely to have recorded the delivery of my baby - a memory that I will cherish forever. His aftercare was also excellent - he checked on me several times afterwards to ensure that I was receiving adequate pain relief. I am so grateful that Dr Nicholas was my anaesthetist for the delivery of my baby and making it a painless and beautiful experience

Dr Shukla took the time during my consultation, which many other doctors haven't to date, to understand my concerns and provide invaluable advice. He carried out a thorough examination of my nose and ears and carried out a cleaning of my ears. He provided thorough verbal and written advice on the measures I can take to prevent flare ups and treatment I can undergo to stop long-term issues. This was practical advice that I hadn't received before and has drastically improved my quality of life.

Received excellent feedback after thorough review and feedback before receiving a final decision on the best way forward, I had considered going overseas for the treatment however, I do not believe I would have achieved. the same outcome as the level of detail and prep including contact lenses to establish the best option took time which I would not have been afforded by the overseas company as it was only a week long process. I saw Gabrielle today for a suspected issue related to planta fasicitis and a pronated foot. Gabrielle was an attentive listener, kind and empathetic. She explained the functions of the muscles and ligaments very clearly so I was able to gauge a full picture of my gait and my overall foot health. I found her friendly, professional, engaged, attentive, positive and both interesting and interested. I'd highly recommend her as a practitioner.

It was the most amazing experience, such professional staff and spotless accommodation. Professor East was so reassuring and professional, and the team who cared for me were wonderful, my sedation seemed to be just what was needed, and and ample hot chocolate and cheese sandwiches made the whole experience even more relaxing. Thank you so much, what could have been such an uncomfortable and stressful day was made so much better.

My phone appointment was at 3pm and he didn’t even try to phone me until 4.33 pm. I had made my self available from 2pm as requested but he was well beyond the end time I was requested to be available. There was no apology for phoning me so late. To add insult to injury, I then had the consultation with him for about 10 minutes, some of which was him reading my notes to remind himself who I was. This cost me £70!

Unfortunately there was a problem with the booking systems at reception which meant checking in was delayed due to a queue that had formed. However the staff were very helpful and trying to do all they could to inform patients of the problem. The nursing station seemed very busy and understaffed, there was a delay in urine testing due to this and I waited 30minutes just to be provided with a sample jar and bag.
