About Dr. Kit Wu

Dr Kit Wu is an award-winning Consultant Neurologist in full-time private practice at The Wellington Hospital, London (Platinum Medical Centre and Elstree Waterfront outpatients). She trained within the Parkinson's Disease Centre of Excellence at King's College Hospital — one of only two such centres in the UK — and at Queen's Square, the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Dr Wu has a sub-specialty interest in Movement Disorders and General Neurology, with particular expertise in the management and research of Parkinson's disease. She now works with a multidisciplinary team at The Wellington Hospital to provide holistic, personalised care to patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.

Dr Wu uses a structured multi-domain assessment framework — covering motor and non-motor symptoms, bone health, gut health, and vision — to make sure nothing is overlooked in Parkinson's care, supported by PKG wearable movement monitoring to guide objective, data-led medication decisions. She has also developed a dedicated Women & Parkinson's pathway, addressing the sex-specific differences in symptoms, medication response and diagnosis that standard care pathways often
miss.

She is skilled in the use of botulinum toxin for treatment of dystonia (including cervical dystonia), blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, TMJ disorder and limb spasticity. Dr Wu is also experienced in managing a wide range of general and acute neurological disorders, such as headaches, migraines, epilepsy and peripheral neuropathy.

She completed her specialist neurology training within the King's Rotation (across South London teaching hospitals), and holds a PhD in Neurosciences and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education, both from Imperial College London. Alongside her clinical work, she undertook a Fellowship in Health Management, leading several regional service improvement initiatives and winning several King's Annual Medical Leadership Awards for these work.

Dr Wu is also an NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur, and was awarded the NHS Healthcare Transformation Award for leading a team to improve equity of access to care for the British Chinese community.  Together, this breadth of clinical and leadership experience underpins the holistic, patient-centred care she provides.

Dr Kit Wu has been exceptional. In just three months, she has thoroughly investigated my condition and identified that my long-standing symptoms, previously diagnosed as "migraine" was actually the result of a stroke. I am now receiving the preventative treatment and clinical support that had been missing for the past few years. Dr Wu is approachable, listens carefully, is highly thorough, and has excellent clinical connections. I am extremely grateful for her professional care and expertise.
