About Mr Charlie Huins
Mr Huins is a consultant ENT Surgeon. He specialises disorders of the ear, hearing and balance.
He qualified from the medical school at University College London and went on to complete his higher ENT surgical training, also in London.
He moved to Cambodia to undertake advanced otological fellowship training where he established an ENT Service in a charity hospital. He trained Khmer doctors to build a sustainable service for the Cambodian population.
He moved on to Australia, to cochlear implant fellowship training at the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre. He was under the tutorship of Associate Professor Catherine Birman.
In 2015 Mr Huins was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He performs all aspects of ear surgery, including but not limited to chronic ear disease, balance, surgery for hearing and cochlear implantation.
Charlie is a Foundation Doctor Training Programme Director for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, together with being the ENT Lead an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for the University of Birmingham. He frequently teaches and lectures locally, nationally and internationally.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council.

Trying to figure out what is happening with my right ear. Mr Charlie told me it is meniere Prescribed some medication for that And gave me full explanation how long it might take and what are other possible treatments
I had a ear procedure on 13th March and then got an infection I attended to see Mrr Huins to check the Infection situation and have a change of antibiotics He was most helpful,caring and reassuring.
Extremely polite, friendly and welcoming doctor. He made me feel comfortable, examined my ears and gave a very detailed explanation in simple terms that made me understand my situation better. He listened to my further concerns and actioned them.
