Mr Vasanth Eswaramoorthy is a fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in primary and revision hip and knee replacements.
His NHS base is at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, where he manages patients with lower limb injuries, as well as elective hip and knee surgery.
He completed his Specialist Orthopaedic training on the South East Thames Orthopaedic Training programme, which included rotations through Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College Hospital. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 2017 and the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) leading to entry into the specialist register for Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2018. He has undertaken 3 fellowships; a hip fellowship at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals and a complex arthroplasty fellowship at St George's Hospital, London, where he gained extensive experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement, management of infected joint replacements and the use of custom prosthesis. He also undertook a travelling fellowship at University Hospital Bern, Switzerland to gain further experience in young adult hip pathology.
Prior to completing his Orthopaedic training, Mr Eswaramoorthy pursued a Doctorate-Level degree in Orthopaedic Research on the development of a new type of hip replacement at St George’s University of London. He has published in peer reviewed journals and presented in national and international meetings.
Mr Eswaramoorthy was appointed at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals in 2021 and has since then built up his hip and knee surgery practice. His special interest is in primary and revision hip and knee replacement.

Very informative and straightforward, tells you how it is and gets down to the point, Mr Eswararmoorthy made me feel very confident with regards to his diagnosis.

I was seen, x-rayed and seen again all within an hour. Mr Eswaramoorthy fully listened to my angst and then thoroughly talked me through the results and the pending outcome of the x-ray. This was done in a very calming manner with total respect, understanding and explained in clear context. Every decision has now been totally left to me and at my pace for which I have been very grateful.

He made me feel at ease, explained the process of a hip replacement with compassion and reassurance and talked me through the pros and cons of the surgery. I was delighted to put myself through major surgery feeling I was under the care of a skilled surgeon. He updated me on the progress after surgery and am looking forward to the checkup. What could have been traumatic, was a very positive experience. Thank you

The reason why I give it to you, five star is because the way you treated me I really love it and you sending me the x-ray I really like it the way they took me the x ray and also my report sent to me immediately by email and also I ask you for anything for helping me for my knee swelling. You send me the medicine and can help me And I really like your secretary the way she helped with everything - excellent work. Thank you very much.
