I actually did not get to use the facilities in the private wing of Charing Cross Hospital, as I was seen in neurophysiology on level three of the NHS departments. The only time I had to go up to the 15th floor was to get two forms, stamped and provide my pre-authorisation number that meant getting in a crowded lift and riding up to the 15th floor, which took a very long time as the lift stopped on nearly every floor. Then I had to go back down to level three for tests. It was actually quite stressful for someone with my health conditions to do this, and to be expected to do this administration as the patient!. The waiting area in the NHS department was not relaxing, it was very hot, no natural light was had limited/poor ventilation and the receptionist was quite rude. The medical staff were more polite. When I pay for private healthcare, I prefer to stay in the private department than in the crowded NHS areas. I gather on this occasion the tests were not available in the private wing, but perhaps another hospital where the consultant worked would’ve been able to accommodate. I was not informed that the tests would be in the NHS department.

My experience with Quen was exemplary - at the time of first meeting him, my humerus had been fractured for 2-weeks & I was in pain, so he very speedily made himself available for a call to discuss the procedure, and once this had been done, booked me in for surgery the following week. On the morning of the procedure, he once again came to see me to discuss the procedure and let me ask any questions I had, which really reassured me. He then came to see me the morning post the op too, to discuss next steps. Ever since the operation, my arm has steadily been on the mend and this is no doubt down to the great care that Quen & the team have showed throughout. I've also seen Quen for two follow-up X-Rays where he has discussed the progress with me, and with this, I've been able to become more competent & confident in carrying out my day-to-day. I couldn't recommend Quen enough - not only has he been brilliant throughout but he's also a thoroughly lovely man.

At 20 weeks, Marta identified a serious issue with the pregnancy and acted quickly and calmly to ensure it could continue safely. We truly believe we might have lost our baby had she not recognised it when she did. Marta cared not only for the wellbeing of the pregnancy, but also for both mum and baby, always with a deeply humane and compassionate approach. I had a knee replacement, all I had to do was follow the instructions of the medical staff, who were all very professional, clear but above all kind. Mr Krishnan (the surgeon) did a wonderful job, this is a painful procedure but the nurses made sure relief was only a bell push away. I was given exercises to do that were gradually increased as the days went on. Once home I followed all the instructions and exercises given and regained full mobility by the end of six weeks. The hospital staff worked as a team and were very supportive, kind and positive. I can’t praise my surgeon enough and all the wonderful staff. Because of their treatment I made a textbook recovery in the shortest time possible.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. I highly recommend Dr Sandra Hlaing who I decided to seek help with regarding my menopause struggles. She was amazing and explained everything to me in great detail. He’s always kind and compassionate and really listens when I’m explaining what I see at home. My sons vision is particularly complex due to multiple disabilities which makes everything that bit harder, but Mr Taylor always goes above and beyond to do what he can, within the parameters of my sons capability.

I had the Aquablation surgery under Mr Brewin at New Hall. I spent a long time researching surgeons who perform this procedure and I am very pleased I chose Mr Brewin. I live a very long way from Salisbury but it was worth the journey. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. My only regret is that I wish I'd had the treatment earlier. Mr Brewin is down to earth charming and Knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.

They were, without exception, so professional and caring and kind. And - when I needed a hug I received several! I would describe the care I received, from start to finish and in every respect, as exemplary.

Staff at the practice seem to be unable to distinguish between NHS patients a d those who Are private and paying. Twice i was sent to the wrong waiting area with NHS patients. Only to be later sent to the private waiting area. As a paying patient i expect a certain level of compitance and care. So come on Barlborough, a little bit of interest in your role might help

Returned for my 6 week follow-up post left side inguinal hernia repair on the 5th Jan. Text book recovery. Mr Khanna inspected the site and confirmed it was holding strong. I’ve returned to running +10k. Lifting weights in the gym. As of 17th Jan it feels great. Having to hold myself back for a few more weeks. No pain on any activity now. Mr Khanna has worked his magic.

I saw Miss Mughal about a lipoma on my forehead. At the initial consultation she explained clearly what form the treatment would take. The procedure itself took place at The Shard and was remarkably quick and easy. I returned for a follow up a week or so later where it was confirmed that the lipoma was benign.
