Mr Gleeson replaced my left knee just over a year ago because I could no longer enjoy walking and skiing in the Alps. My physio had recommended that I go to see him as 'he knows everything there is to know about knees'. Before I had the operation, we had a long chat to make sure that I knew what could go wrong and that I was going to have to work hard to regain full fitness. The operation went very well and I had excellent physio afterwards. It was reassuring to have the physios pushing me to work through the pain. 10 months after the surgery I did a multiday hike in Switzerland and could walk downhill for hours with none of the pain which had been coming on for years! I'm now looking forward to an off piste skiing trip next month. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Gleeson. He obviously did an amazing job on my knee and he was very kind and caring through the whole experience.

I recently underwent arthroscopy on my knee with Simon as my consultant. I would rate the service I got from Simon as exceptional. He listened to me patiently and asked me what I wanted out of the consultation. The options available were well explained as were the risks and benefits of each option. Following an MRI, I opted for surgery and on the day Simon popped into my room to chat me through once more what he would do and what would happen afterwards in terms of recovery and rehabilitation. I had appointments for a CTScan and an MRI. One after the other. For the CV Scan I was taken in early. For the MRI I was taken in some 30+ minutes late due to earlier overruns in the unit. That was no particular problem. What was a problem was the changing room in the CT Scan area. For a person who relied on balancing and walking with a stick, grab handles in the changing room would have been a godsend. There was nothing to hold on to to get down or up except the gown waste bin, which was very insecure. The bench seating was far to low and standing up was a real problem. It was rather dangerous.

I am very glad that I saw Miss Effie Katsarma for my hand injury. She was so helpful and kind and really took the time to make sure I got the care I needed. She walked me downstairs to get me squeezed in for a sonogram appointment, that I’m sure I could not have gotten without her. She explained everything to me, with diagrams and I highly recommend her. Her secretary Pauline is also very helpful and polite on the phone (not the case with a different hand doctor’s secretary, who was quite rude) and she responded to my email immediately. I appreciate the excellent care.

I waited longer than usual for my appointment but Mr Sharma was very apologetic. He examined and more importantly listened to me about my concerns. The follow up letter arrived promptly so action could be taken. He gave me a referral for an appointment to have steroid injection which I obtained within 24 hrs. Sadly the referral letter had a couple of mistakes but these were rectified very quickly. Very impressed with the process and we are all individuals so mistakes can happen.

The staff were very helpful and considerate , nothing was to much to ask , pre /op , mr Krishnan was very polite and explained the procedure in full , after the operation he came into explain how op went , and even on final meeting with him was given tips on how to get the knee up and running , could not ask anymore from Mr Krishnan ,
