Mr Jamie Vatish is clearly highly skilled, but he is also plain speaking, efficient and very good at getting things done — all of which I value very highly. Before my operation, I watched the whole procedure on the TV with Mr Vatish and Mr Khalil, which is not exactly my usual evening viewing, but it was incredibly interesting. When it came to mine Mr Vatish explained everything clearly, without fuss or flannel, and made a long challenging operation feel much more manageable. He was brilliant throughout: calm, direct, kind and completely on it. An amazing surgeon, a great chap, and I am very grateful indeed.
