About Mr Sean Fang
Mr Sean Fang is a Consultant ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Surgeon with specialist expertise in voice disorders, thyroid and salivary gland disease, and the diagnosis and management of head and neck cancer. He treats both adults and children, managing a wide range of general ENT conditions, including blocked nose, sinus issues, tonsils, adenoids, glue ear, and other common ear, nose, and throat concerns.
Mr Fang serves as the Lead Clinician for Head and Neck Services at University Hospital Lewisham and previously held the position of Clinical Lead for Laryngology at a major NHS Trust in Surrey. He is an integral member of the head and neck cancer and thyroid cancer multidisciplinary teams and works closely with the endocrine multidisciplinary team to manage complex thyroid and parathyroid diseases.
He completed his ENT specialist training across London, Kent, and Surrey, including advanced paediatric ENT training at Great Ormond Street Hospital. His clinical interests cover hoarseness, vocal cord lesions, throat discomfort, thyroid lumps, salivary gland disorders, and head and neck cancers.
Mr Fang has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and contributed chapters to leading ENT reference textbooks. He is actively involved in medical education, regularly teaching on national ENT courses, and has presented his research at international conferences.

Excellence service throughout and was seen early which is always a bonus
I am very grateful to Mr Fang and his team for the care I received. I came to Mr Fang after several years of persistent throat and tonsil discomfort, together with worry about a visible lump. This had been a distressing and worrying experience, and I wanted to understand what was happening and what could be done. Mr Fang listened to my concerns, assessed the problem, explained his findings and discussed the treatment options with me. Having someone properly assess what had been troubling me for so long, and then put a clear treatment plan in place, meant a great deal. I subsequently underwent a tonsillectomy, including removal of a tonsillar cyst, and have since attended my postoperative follow-up. My recovery is still ongoing, but I am very grateful that this longstanding problem has finally been addressed. I would also like to thank Andrea and the rest of Mr Fang’s team. Andrea was always very helpful, kind and understanding when communicating with me and helping with appointments and arrangements. When you have been dealing with health problems for a long time, being treated with patience and understanding makes a real difference. Overall, I have felt well supported by Mr Fang and his team and I am very grateful for the care and kindness I have received. Thank you.
