Mr Jaheed Khan

Mr Jaheed Khan is a highly experienced Ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in cataract surgery and diseases affecting the retina. He currently practises at Moorfields Private Eye Hospital, where he provides advanced care for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal disorders.

He began his academic journey with a BSc (Hons) with First Class Distinction from University College London in 1993, followed by an MBBS from the University of London in 1997. He later completed a Medical Doctorate at King’s College London in 2007, focusing on innovative treatments for diabetic maculopathy. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2011, reflecting his high level of clinical expertise.

Mr Khan is committed to delivering the highest standards of care, combining the latest technology with a strong focus on patient safety. His approach centres on providing effective, evidence-based treatments in a safe and supportive environment.

Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in education and training within the NHS, where he plays a key role in mentoring and developing future eye surgeons. He is also a member of several leading professional organisations, including the UK and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
