About Mr Aamer Ullah
Mr Aamer Ullah is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with specialist expertise in hand and wrist surgery for over 20yrs . He is practicing at Spire Leicester Hospital and Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital, providing expert care for a wide range of upper limb conditions, including joint replacements, injuries of the hand and wrist, nerve problems.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of London in 1993 and completed his training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. He went on to achieve a Master of Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr&Orth). Earlier in his career, he also worked as an Orthopaedic Clinical Lecturer, contributing to medical education and training.
Mr Ullah further developed his subspecialist expertise through fellowships in hand and wrist surgery in India and at North Shore Hospital in Sydney. His clinical interests include the management of hand and wrist injuries and fractures, including sports-related trauma, as well as arthritis, nerve conditions, trigger finger, and thumb joint replacement.
Mr Ullah is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys playing cricket and is a keen golfer.

This was the second operation for Dupuytren’s on my right hand. What made a big difference in terms of discomfort was having the tourniquet put below my elbow (as opposed to above, which happened the first time) and only inflated for the minimal amount of time necessary. Mr Ullah did an excellent job and I am very pleased with the result.

From start to finish this is the best decision I’ve ever made, prior to my operation I was in severe pain and could hardly use my left hand at all. The staff that looked after me before, during and after my hand operation were fantastic, the recovery time was minimal and after care was brilliant. I would recommend anyone having doubts about having a CMC joint replacement to just go ahead with it. The only downside is the waiting time for the procedure but well worth the wait

More or less totally seamless. Consultations ran to time as did operation. From initial consultation right through to operation, Mr Ullah gave clear explanations about whole process from Op right through to post Op recovery. Clear advice for post op care given.
