Mr Challand always greeted me with a very pleasant and positive attitude at our face to face meetings. This was very encouraging and helped me to carry the positivity throughout my time under Mr Challand's care. When I came round out of the initial surgery, I saw my situation and for the next 2 days I allowed my internal voices to voice how they saw my future situation. However at the end of the 2nd day, I gave myself a good talking to, that tomorrow (the 3rd day) there would be no more "why me" complaining. This is how I carried on - Only Positivity, and it worked for me. Yes, there were a few situations but I dealt with each in a plus positive manner. I always made sure to greet every one with a positive outlook. My visits with Mr Challand have always been very pleasant and straight to the point. Thanks to all the staff who were involved with my case. I'm so fortunate to be here and can only express my sincere thanks to all. The best gift to me has been the reversal. I had my baby girl delivered by Dr Jess McMicking in October 2025. When I first met Jess I knew I wouldn’t be able to find anyone better for my pregnancy care and delivery. Her professionalism coupled with calm and personalised approach as well as real desire to understand my unique journey is what made my experience so smooth and worryless. She was always available to answer any of my questions or address any concerns giving me peace of mind. Even when we had to bring the delivery forward by 2 weeks because my baby slowed growing, I knew that I am in such great hands and that was so reassuring. I had an elective c-section and Jess carefully guided me through what to expect before, during and after the surgery again leaving no questions unanswered. On the day itself everything went just perfect. My quick wound healing and recovery is another testament to Jess’ amazing skills. My husband and I will be forever grateful to Jess for everything she has done for us and if we have another baby we will go straight back to her without hesitation.

I cannot recommend Miss Di Marco highly enough. She is an outstanding surgeon who specialises in thyroid and parathyroid disease, and her care went far beyond technical excellence. From our very first consultation, she took time to explain the procedure in clear, reassuring terms, patiently talking me through what to expect and answering all my questions. Most importantly, she made me feel genuinely listened to and reassured, which made an enormous difference. As a result, I felt calm, informed, and confident going into surgery. In theatre, just before I went under, she spoke to me in a calm, steady voice and talked me through the laryngoscopy step by step. That simple act of kindness made me feel safe, relaxed, and completely confident that I was in the very best hands — which I truly was. Miss Di Marco combines exceptional surgical skill with real compassion and humanity. I am deeply grateful for her care and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing thyroid or parathyroid surgery.

The initial consultation was an evening appointment and I considered it to be expensive. The consultants fee (Dr Kadhim) was £250 (equating to £1000 per hour) Administration fee £35 (for what) and an e.c.g which took all of 5 minutes was £111. Total £396. I was promised by the consultant that Cardioversion would happen before my holiday in mid December but received excuses from admin staff why this could not happen. I kept pestering and eventually received notice at 3.00pm the day before that Cardioversion would occur at 07.30 the following morning. The actual Cardioversion went without hitch, the consultant Dr Menown and his staff were excellent, facilities were good, food was ample and all went well. So do not take no for an answer.

It's two days since I had major surgery at St Hugh's hospital in Cleethorpes. I still find my eyes tearing up with gratitude at how well they have cared for me. Their consultants are of the highest calibre. And all the staff on the wards, from nurses through to the kitchen, are a joy to witness. Their happiness at work permeates through every nook and cranny. They have looked after not just my body, but my emotions and my dignity. Major surgery is always stressful, but the aftercare I had at St Hugh's has given me a headstart in my recovery. All credit too, to the wise and judicious management in the background. Only good managers could maintain a team who are so united and happy in their jobs. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I am writing this review after my second video link conversation with Dr. Jeczmien. He didn't make me feel inadequate which enabled me to open up to him. It has taken me years to admit to myself that I needed help and I have finally found and taken the first step to hopefully stop chasing my tail and start to lead a normal life. If this review helps you to also take the first step to reach out for help I am over the moon for you. I was diagnosed as dyslexic at the age of 8years - I am now 46 years old. I didn't want another label but at least I now know I am ADHD a whole weight has been lifted and I am looking forward to try to have an organised life in the future.

The receptionist and the nurse were lovely. However, the consultant made me feel like I wasn’t heard at all, I didn’t really get to talk about anything I wanted to talk about because every time I tried to I was cut off and told I would have to speak to someone else about that but I was confused as I was speaking about the issue I was there for. I also felt like I was penalised for my gp making a mistake and did feel very uncomfortable by the end of the consultation. Which made me quite sad as this is an issue I’ve been dealing with for a couple of years and I feel like I’m still getting no where with it.

Prof. Du Toit and his team were absolutely fantastic with our 19-month-old, who is usually very anxious in medical settings. Everything was explained thoroughly, and we were given clear options for the next steps, which made us feel involved and reassured. I highly recommend Dr. Farooq Maniyar, who is a super expert consultant neurologist. I received great treatment, including a successful Greater Occipital Nerve (GON) block, in the period leading up to my pregnancy. Now that I am pregnant, Dr. Maniyar has expertly tailored my ongoing treatment to ensure its safety and effectiveness. His approach is brilliant, working in perfect, complementary coordination with my NHS Obstetrician. It is deeply reassuring to have such an expert managing my condition during this critical time.

My appointment with Miss Panter herself was excellent. She answered my questions very helpfully and proposed a treatment plan which was exactly what I’d come for, with careful explanations and kindness. I found there was quite a high level of confusing and duplicated ‘admin’ in the run-up to the appointment: emails requiring me to fill in form after form in an unhelpful (to both of us), confusing and anxiety-provoking way. But the actual appointment with my consultant was very good.

Oh my Davide was fantastic for our gender scan. We got to see way more than we anticipated, its little arms, legs, everything was explained to us, got to hear the heartbeat and have a usb to keep the memories. I highly recommend a private scan. We are planning to come back around 26 weeks and maybe again in the 30s as it can be quite some time between scans on NHS. Honestly highly recommend, friendly, open to questions and amazingly professional! Thank you!

To help other people having the operation, I would encourage them to have it and explain its hard work at first but gets easier the more work you put in yourself , meaning physio work , sticking to the plan and not doing too much or definitely to little and being patient, success will come it might take time . I'm totally pain free which probably took a good 4 months to get there , now after nearly 10 months I have no problems whatsoever!

Once the results were available he contacted me immediately and saw me the next day to discuss them. He gave me options for further investigation and treatment and took note of my views.
