I recently had ICL surgery with Blue Fin Vision, under the care of Mr Hove, and wanted to share my experience. From the first consultation, the timeline to getting to surgery was pretty quick, with a few tests and a small, pre surgery procedure done in Harley street. I also had plenty of face time with Mr Hove, and his clear explanations and reassuring manner made a huge difference to what is quite a big decision! The procedure itself took about an hour, and it was a little stressful — as you’d expect — but the team did absolutely everything they could to help me feel comfortable and supported. In hindsight, I should have considered the level of sedation I wanted (as I only went with oral diazepam) and I know I could have had this conversation with Mr Hove beforehand if I had just given him a call. I felt throughout that Mr Hove’s number 1 priority was delivering the absolute best outcome possible for my vision. There was some discomfort right after, but by the next day I felt close to completely fine. The 1-week, 1-month and ongoing checkups are incredibly reassuring in terms of monitoring my eye health. Before surgery I had significant long-sightedness and astigmatism, and now I can see clearly without glasses or contacts — genuinely life-changing. Communication from Blue Fin Vision has been excellent throughout, and they were always happy to work around my busy schedule. Overall, I’ve had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Blue Fin Vision and Mr Hove.

I highly recommend Miss Masara Laginaf if you are considering any eye surgery. I was apprehensive and nervous when considering Lasek eye surgery, but from the first consultation Ms Laginaf explained the process with such expert knowledge and detail, and was able to answer any questions I had. Most importantly, she was incredibly reassuring and was able to listen and answer all my questions with kindness. From arriving with anxiety about the procedure, I left feeling nothing but excitement! During the surgery, it was clear that Ms Laginaf is highly experienced and an expert in the field. The procedure was done in no time at all, and all the way throughout Ms Laginaf continued to put me at complete ease and reduced any nerves completely. Her entire team were incredibly kind, warm and caring. She was incredibly generous with her time throughout the consultations, procedures and even afterwards where I had follow up questions. My original appointment was with Mr Kamran Saha, as it was thought that I had a which Mr Saha confirmed it was not but rather a cyst. As this was not his expertise, he referred me to Miss Swan Kang who confirmed it was a cyst and arranged an excision. During the procedure Miss Kang noticed a second cyst next to the big one which she also removed and sent both off for biopsies. Amazingly 6 days later there are no visible signs of any incisions apart from some slight redness in the area. I am super happy with the results and grateful to Mr Saha for referring me to Miss Kang. I was also very impressed by Robyn for taking care of all the underlying preparations for both consultations and the minor op which took less than 2 days to complete!!! Kudos to Robyn for managing everything so swiftly and efficiently.

Felt that after an extremely long wait for this appointment, being abandoned by consultant who was awful at my hospital. I was extremely anxious about how this appointment was going to go. I came away feeling that I had wasted my time, being sent with bags of antibiotics which I didn’t collect from the pharmacy and being pressured into trying something which I thought I made look quite obvious that I didn’t want or feel comfortable wanting to try. I had been through enough trial things in my last hospital. I didn’t want to have to do this again. But to also ignore that I have always had these issues since I was young, you tried to pin it on my fall. I don’t understand. I am not sure where I go from here? It so upsetting when no one can help. I literally cried most of the way home .

My first appointment was cancelled by the clinic this was after telling me to pay the fee upfront and re booked two weeks later. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told there would be a delay again. After waiting for sometime I asked the staff to find out what the delay was I was then seen by the clinician half an hour later. My experience with the clinician I felt was not worth the fee. I was not examined correctly I was not given any advice as to how to deal with the issue and the letter I received afterwards was not very accurate or informative. So I would not go back again or recommend.

Initial assessments were thorough and the clinicians were kind and understanding. Prescription costs seem affordable and my first prescribed medications were a slight improvement to before. My second prescription was not approved/provided on time and rationing medications/running out for a few days has caused some stress I had bad withdrawal/negative wellbeing from being requested to stop a previous medication, I feel this was somewhat unavoidable but I was not informed of what to expect stopping that med and left to work out the cause of the feelings on my own

I had a follow up appointment for more YAG Laser treatment. Upon entering Cathedral Eye Clinic you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Thereafter I had very detailed tests carried out by a female Optometrist who is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Finally I had further tests and this was followed by the laser treatment by Mr Best who exudes absolute professional brilliance and is very reassuring explaining everything in detail. A truly excellent experience and I can recommend their fantastic care to anyone.

Dr Sinha was the best doctor I’ve been to. Not only was she super thorough in her explanation it the procedure I was booked in to have but she was there with me from the start to help ensure I remained in the know of what was happening but also helped ease my stress and anxiety about the process. She made sure to be available for any questions or concerns I had She also did an amazing job on my stitches and ensured my scar would be as minimal as possible I could not recommend her enough.
