I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

I saw Mr Ho following some concerns I had with one of my eyes after cataract surgery carried out by a different surgeon. Mr Ho was very thorough in his approach and identified that I had some tears in my retina which needed repairing fairly urgently. He performed a vitrectomy (retina repair) the same day and following a few weeks recovery my eye is now fully healed. I can't recommend Mr Ho enough, his manner with patients is excellent, he fully informs you as to what he plans to do and why and his aftercare is excellent. I'm very glad I engaged him when I had a problem with my eye and wish I'd had him do the cataract surgery in the first place.

I had an excellent experience with Mr Ahmed for my upper eyelid blepharoplasty. From the initial consultation, everything was explained clearly and thoroughly, which made me feel very comfortable and confident in proceeding. The doctor was professional, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. The procedure went smoothly, and the aftercare and follow-up were outstanding. My results look very natural and have made a noticeable improvement—my eyes look refreshed and more youthful without appearing overdone. Dr Paramothayan was the only Doctor in 18 months that listened to and considered my symptoms. She ran tests to be sure of all her thought processes and explained everything thoroughly at every step. Despite being sure of her findings she still referred me for a second opinion to make sure she hadn’t missed anything. I can’t thank Dr Paramothayan enough for her care and treatment throughout the year of me being under her care. I wish she was able to specialise in the entire body so that I could see her for other medical issues.

I am currently 6wks PO from having BA with Mr Apostolou. I cannot recommend him enough. Mr Apostolou was very professional and reassured any uncertainties I may have had. I am very happy with the results and I have not had any problems whatsoever. My very short stay at Nuffield Hospital was very pleasant and I was very well cared for, even after surgery with routine check ups. I will certainly be recommending Mr Apostolou to friends who I know are considering the same surgery.

My experience during my visit for day surgery was very good overall. The nurses and physiotherapist were young but capable. The anaesthetists were very helpful both before and after my operation. The surgeon was brisk and efficient. I was perhaps a little surprised that he didn't come to see me after the operation. The quality of the snack I was offered after the operation was poor: crisps and a sandwich with stodgy bread. Hardly nutritious recovery food!

I recently visited Dr Sen regarding heart palpitations and chest pain. From the outset, Dr Sen was very clear and reassuring about the diagnostic process. He explained the plan thoroughly and even arranged some same-day work (monitor to be fitted), which I really appreciated. I was also given clear timelines for the next steps, which helped me feel informed and confident about the process. Overall, I felt well cared for and would highly recommend Dr Sen.

I was recommended St Giles physiotherapy to take our Son to as he was complaining of knee pain. Claudiu diagnosed what was wrong and gave our son various exercises to do to help with the pain. Our son also had laser treatment and massages which really helped. The exercise programme we continued with at home too using a friendly app to track progress. I highly recommend St Giles physiotherapy and Claudiu.

From my GP referral to my initial appointment it was less then 2 weeks. Before surgery I had 3 post operation assessments. The operation was completed as a day admission. I was kept full informed and treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. Mr Bhardwaj saw me on the morning before the operation and again later after it had been completed. Again, I was kept fully informed about my condition.

My total knee repalcement has gone very well - I started off asking for an assessment, and was impressed with its thoroughness; with other options ruled out for clear reasons. The hospital admission went well; and the recovery has been as good as I could have expected. I had a set of ADHD/Autism coaching sessions with Jo, and she was consistently supportive and understanding throughout. She helped me talk about how hard I find things without shame, which felt incredibly important. Together we made and implemented a plan that was realistic and achievable rather than overwhelming. I left feeling understood, supported, and much more positive about moving forward.

From walking through the doors on my first visit (presurgery) in June 2025 I was put at ease at all stages throughout my visits from the reception staff, the assessment staff pre surgery and the operating staff, pre and post surgery staff and the surgeon himself. Any questions IAd were answered very thoroughly.
