I had extensive contact with Dr. Moorthy before I actually attended St. Marys Lindo Wing in person, via email and phone calls, so I had a good idea before arriving there of who Dr. Moorthy was as a professional and a person. I had a very good impression of Dr. Moorthy before attending the hospital, and I can say I was not disappointed to meet him in person. As a professional he is extremely good, his detailed explanations of the surgery and techniques he would use were greatly appreciated, too many times I have come across surgeons who spend little to no time before a surgery, getting any information second hand from some one else on the team, but Dr. Moorthy spent the time with me directly to go over all the details not only of the surgery but also the recovery process. He came to see me many times while I was at the Lindo Wing, even coming in on the weekend to check up on my progress, and was in contact with the people who came to the hospital with me. After I left the hospital and returned to Ireland, he again kept in contact to check on my recovery. Dr. Moorthy, as well as being a great surgeon, as evidenced by my recovery, little to no after effects from the surgery, and very little signs now that I ever had surgery, is also a very kind and personable human being, I am delighted to of met such a genuine nice person and delighted that it was he who performed my surgery. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Moorthy.

O 13 December I attended for a pre-med prior to spinal tap. Very good treatment until advised that the spinal tap cancelled due to my ECG. I was urged to immediately contact my GP or A&E. At Worthing A&E I was advised that due to current medication that I am taking for this issue it would have been OK to continue with the spinal tap and it was suggested that One Hospital refused to continue due to your lack of facility if the op went wrong. The journey to One Hospital, 90 miles each way, the time taken for that journey and the pre med followed by 2 hours in A&E was expensive. Before attending One Hospital I had completed a form at your request which listed the medication that I was taking and the reason. Why was I invited to that pre med? This is the second time that One Hospital have refused to go ahead with an operation that was subsequently completed by NHS without a problem. I now have no confidence in the One Hospital and will not seek further appointments.

Extremely kind and caring surgeon. No charge for initial consultation for sleeve gastrectomy. No rush. No pressure. Full explanation of what to expect. Post op came to see me and explained the procedure... with photos. Calm and reassuring. I chose this surgeon as I had witnessed his behaviour with patients on the ward where I work. Follow up care continued for 2 years. I have lost more than 70% of my excess weight. For those thinking sleeve gastrectomy is a quick and easy fix... it's not! I cannot thank Mr Jayanthi enough. I had 2 groin hernias one small on the right and one large groin hernia on my left side which was very uncomfortable. After having a consultation with Mr Jayanthi my mind was put at rest his bedside manner was excellent. On the day of the procedure he made me feel at ease and explained what was to take place. 3 incisions around the belly button area which cleared up completely within 6 weeks. And no sign of any Hernias thanks to his skill and the Mesh implant. 8 weeks after the procedure saw Mr Jayanthi today getting the all clear. Follow up appointment after an operation which Mr Balega performed exceptionally as I had previous operations which added potential complications. Mr Balega was exceptional when performing the operation taking care and speaking with my husband straight afterwards. Today's visit was to discuss the operation and subsequent results. He explained very clearly and succinctly each element of the operation and the results. Mr Balega has always been engaging during all my visits and answers any of my questions and ensures that I full understand each element of the process.

Jack has helped me manage the symptoms of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome through a tailored strengthening and fitness program. He's measured my progress over time using rep count reports and strength measuring devices as well as charting general wellbeing. We recently started adapted boxing too which I have enjoyed. I feel really supported and motivated to reach my goals. He is understanding and meets you where you are at fitness-wise, as well as pushing you to the best you can be. I would definitely recommend Jack to other people with long term health conditions like me.

I have been attending Cathedral Eye Clinic since May, when Mr Niraj Mandal carried out cataract surgery on my left eye. A follow-up operation to stitch the iris was also successful. Although I still experience some blurring at distance, tests show 6/6 vision, and this is due to be corrected with laser treatment in the New Year. I am very pleased with the way the consultations and overall service have been carried out. The care has been professional and reassuring throughout, and I am looking forward to improved distance vision in 2026

Shoulder surgery, acj repair, told to be there at 9am with a 10am start. Surgeon and anesthetist didn't show until 1120, surgery was at 1230. No explanation or apology was given. Since I'm a type 1 diabetic this was especially stressful. It's lucky I'm able to control my blood sugars or I could've been in danger, or had to cancel the surgery.
