I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

Mr Ankur Barua

I went to see Mr Barua for a laser eye surgery. I had been to see two other more well-known providers for consultations but this was the only consultation where I actually got to meet my surgeon and ask him questions directly. At my consultation Mr Barua was very thorough and knowledgeable and carefully explained all my options, as well as the pros and cons of each. I needed more time to decide whether to go ahead with surgery and Mr Barua was happy to let me take the time I needed, there was no hard sell or push to book in and he also offered me another consultation if I felt I needed it. His secretary Kate was also very helpful when I did have further questions and was happy to talk over various aspects of the procedure when I called back. I had my surgery done about 6 weeks later and I felt very safe in Mr Barua's hands and his team were great. The follow ups have been easy to schedule in and again the team have been very thorough. The healing and recovery have gone well without any issues and I am very glad I opted to have Mr Barua perform my surgery.

Mr Tailor's care throughout my consultations, surgery and follow-up was outstanding. From our first conversation, he gave me a clear detailed understanding of my health issue and treatment. He outlined options and what would determine what type of surgery was needed. He treated my case with the urgency I wanted and organised for me to have a scan on the day of my first consultation and an operation date within a few weeks. His communication throughout the treatment was excellent - using phone, WhatsApp and email to ensure I had all the information I needed and received biopsy and blood test results as quickly as possible. I had a Laparoscopy procedure and while Mr Tailor had to manage some unexpected observations during the surgery, my recovery has been smooth and scarring minimal. I highly recommend Mr Tailor for any gynecology treatment or procedure.

I had a really positive experience at The Harborne Hospital. I was greeted warmly on arrival and was actually seen before my appointment time, which was very much appreciated. My consultant Mr Leung truly listened to me and took the time to understand the full picture of how I’ve been feeling. He was extremely thorough, and for the first time in a long while, I left feeling hopeful — hopeful not only that my pain can be better managed, but also that I may finally get a clear diagnosis of what is actually happening to me. I really appreciated how carefully and thoughtfully everything was explored. Every member of staff I met was kind, professional, and supportive. The level of care and compassion shown throughout my visit was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service.

Harley Street Specialist Hospital

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

Cathedral Eye Clinic

I had been considering eye surgery and attended Cathedral Eye Clinic to get a second opinion, having already spoken with a consultant in Dublin. Putting it simply, my experience in Belfast was far superior. The team at Cathedral ran a more comprehensive range of tests, assigned more time and personnel to my case, and were far better at talking through my options. In particular, I was very pleased that they were willing to give me their honest perspectives based on what they felt was best for me in the long run. Ultimately (based on their guidance), I decided not to go forward with any additional procedure at this time, but should I need treatment further down the line, I will not hesitate to go back to Belfast.

She guided me through different medication combinations with clear explanations and careful monitoring, and was responsive between appointments when things were difficult. Her formulation and insight into my situation were accurate and transformative. I trust her completely. She has not only stabilised me but helped me move in a new direction I didn’t think was possible. I genuinely believe she given my life back to me.

The treatment I received at the Matrix Eye Clinic was excellent from both Mr Guy Smith and his first class team. The results from the cataract operation in both eyes is sensational. My eyesight is significantly improved, the length, the accuracy and the intensity of the colour are all enhanced. I am absolutely delighted. Before I had the operation I was considering exchanging our television for a new model because I was having difficulty in reading small print and the scene was blurred. Now I can enjoy watching. Amazing! I have no hesitation in recommending Matrix Eye Clinic.

This was my second cataract operation on my left eye having had a very successful cataract removal and lenses replacement on my right eye performed by Mr Sian a couple of months earlier at Musgrove Park. Mr Sian’s skills , patience and care are exemplary. The outcome hss exceeded all my expectations. For information I initially saw Mr Sian at the Nuffield and had my resulting procedures at Musgrove Park due to the complexity of both eyes. My comments apply mainly to Musgrove although are also applicable to treatment received by Mr Sian at the Nuffield Taunton.

My total knee replacement at The Park Hospital was an excellent experience. Mr Hosam E. Matar, anaesthetic specialist, theatre team provided outstanding surgical care with clear explanations and reassurance throughout. The nursing team were attentive and supportive, helping manage pain and early mobility. The hospital was clean, calm, and well‑organised, making the whole process smooth from admission to discharge. Overall, I felt well looked after and confident in my recovery, and I would highly recommend The Park Hospital for joint replacement surgery.

I was pleased with the overall experience of my appointment on the day. Whilst Dr Rasool had the earliest appointment available, His resume on the Bupa recognised healthcare professionals and services finder, is minimal. There is no photo either. It says his account is awaiting verification which gave me initial doubt. I had to find more of his details via Google. This I have mentioned to Dr Rasool during the appointment. I am pleased that he is happy for me to contact him via email should I have queries.

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. Throughout the consultation process and pre-op appointments he was so kind and put me totally at ease, I trusted him immediately. He was honest about the process and results I wanted, I wasn't sure about implants but he explained clearly why I didn't need them and I'm so thankful! He really cares about the patients he sees and the results they want to achieve.
