We are extremely grateful to Dr Shalini Chawla for her care and support through our pregnancy and delivery. We came to her with a complex background — a previous emergency C-section and a very strong desire for a VBAC this time. While some other doctors were hesitant or not fully supportive of this plan, Dr Chawla took the time to understand our priorities and supported us in a thoughtful, evidence-based way. Throughout the pregnancy, there were moments of anxiety and during these times Dr Chawla was always available for us. She guided us calmly and clearly on what to do and when to act, which provided enormous reassurance and prevented unnecessary panic. What stood out most was her flexibility and accessibility, even late at night, which gave us immense reassurance during a very anxious decision-making process. As the pregnancy progressed, plans evolved. VBAC remained our preferred plan throughout, but once we reached our agreed backstop date, we understood that an elective C-section would be required. Even then, discussions continued right up to the night before, with Dr Chawla patiently walking us through the options and ensuring we felt fully supported and informed at every step. Ultimately, we did require an emergency C-section, but Dr Chawla handled the situation with exceptional calm and control. She orchestrated the theatre smoothly, communicated clearly, and the surgery itself was excellent. Recovery has been good, which speaks to the quality of the procedure. Beyond the technical skill, Dr Chawla was consistently reassuring, present, and supportive — both during delivery and afterwards. We never felt rushed or dismissed, and she was always there when we needed guidance or reassurance. We would highly recommend Dr Shalini Chawla - her clinical competence, flexibility, and genuine patient support is rare and deeply appreciated.

Appalling aftercare!! In as an overflow NHS patient. Had major surgery. Nurse refused the doctors requests in the morning. When discharged later that day the nurse still refused what the doctor asked for. The doctor had to be firm in saying what the nurse had to do as it was on the surgeons notes! The nurse reluctantly did it in the end but only half a job. The nurse left ouzing burn scars after removing dressing and didn't tell me until i put my clothes on and the material was catching on them. My husband got him back and he said "Yes i saw that!". Did nothing or aplogise. No empathy at all. I had 2 nurses come to my home that evening to sort out the burns and dressing on my surgical areas . Nightime was very little aftercare. Catheter was overflowing in the night. No one seemed to know what was going on in regards to your medical notes. Food was appalling dried up and burnt. No snack trolley inbetween meals. Awful experience. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Was I treated differently because I was in there last request as an overflow NHS patient. I was meant to be going to Birchington ward for my recovery. A complaint will be going in! The doctor said twice to have medication prescribed to the nurse and he would not do it so I came home with no painkillers and was told to go to a chemist after major surgery. Lack of care. No bedside manners.

After a year of back and forward to various different hospitals and appointments and symptoms being ignored, I finally and thankfully was seen by Mr Jacob. He was very professional, friendly and most importantly saw and heard my concerns. I got answers and was booked in for surgery. I had a very enlarged thyroid with numerous nodules that had previously been missed by other consultants and my symptoms absolutely debilitating. During surgery Mr Jacob found my thyroid had also grown around the back of neck so took a little longer. I felt great after my surgery, Mr Jacob came to see me the next morning and I was kept in updated of what was going to happen throughout and after the surgery. I had no questions unanswered and felt very cared for. Im extremely grateful that Mr Jacob was my surgeon and would highly recommend him. My scar is barely noticeable only two months later and my healing was fairly easy - thanks to Mr Jacob my procedure was a great success!

Dr Miss Tania Adib has accompanied me very thoughtfully through my perimenopause treatment. She explained everything in a very clear and understandable way and took the time to answer all of my questions. She fine-tuned my hormonal therapy for perimenopause with small but very effective changes. The switch to bioidentical progesterone at night has notably reduced my sleep disruptions and night-time hot flushes, and I am now sleeping much better. The addition of testosterone has been truly life changing for me: together with improved sleep, it has restored my previous energy levels and my libido, and I feel much more like myself again. I believe testosterone is something that should be prescribed specifically for women when appropriate, as its impact can be profound, and I would definitely recommend considering this option under specialist guidance.

Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

I have been with the practice for a number of years and have mostly been pleased with the experience. The only thing I have a problem with is that the staff of all kinds do not speak loudly enough. There is always a lot of noise from machines etc. and soft voices, and sometimes accents, make it difficult to understand., especially when it has a medical content. Also nobody seems to understand that they should make sure the patient is comfortable, as the chairs vary in design and all do not adjust when required. Otherwise I am pleased to have found the practice many years ago and have gone through a good few different staff members in that time, so the experience has been interesting, despite the stairs! I am lucky to have good teeth.

This was a very positive visit. Dr Hardy is friendly and kind and really put me at ease. She listened to the symptoms I had been having and provided explanations for them in a jargon-free and understandable way. She then developed a management plan that she carefully explained. I was nervous about this appointment as it is not easy discussing very sensitive and personal symptoms. However Dr Hardy has a lovely bedside manner which made it really easy to be open about the symptoms I was having. Dr. panagiotis Gikas was very professional and honest Although the appointment wasn't satisfactory for me because the doctor couldn't give me a second opinion on my back and neck pain since his specialty is lower extremities, he sent me for updated MRI exams so he could give me a responsible and accurate second opinion on my knee and ankle. I emailed the doctor and am waiting for him to reply with his diagnosis from the previous appointment so I can provide my employer with the information they need to continue helping me with the MRI costs and get positive results that will allow me to go to work without any health risks. Though I prepared in advance for what expect in relation to parking and expected to pay on the way out, an usher directed me to another car park where there were options of paying on an app or using cash. I had time on my side luckily. Directions were almost right but I would have been better prepared if I had known the entrance sits at the back of the main A&E entrance. The staff were friendly and the environment was clean and calm. The doctor was incredible, attentive, patient, precise, clear and efficient. The experience was good.
