Having done some research in advance, I opted for a ‘robot assisted total knee replacement’ with Mr Barkatali. He explained everything, answered all my questions and put my mind at rest. My operation went to plan with the excellent staff and service at Spire Manchester. During my post operative appointments with Mr Barkatali he has been professional, knowledgeable and supportive giving good advice and guidance on my recovery journey. After just 4 months my new knee is wonderful, no pain, strong sturdy reliable and dependable. A 64YO male I have been fell walking and hiking already. I have ‘put in the effort’ in doing the physio and I am now reaping the rewards. Mr Barkatali is totally professional with the highest level of skill in his field. I believe he is a perfectionist and strives to give the best result achievable. He also has a great bedside manner, a very nice man. I have no reservation is recommending Mr Barkatali!

My procedure was on the 7th November 2025, with an overnight stay, before being discharged. I can honestly say that it's been a life changing procedure. It's been a journey, before the procedure my life was depressing, up at night waiting to urinate, dripping before flowing and not emptying. Also I had two retentions both over 2.5 litres. Now I have a good flow, my bladder emptying, it's been a challenge to were I am now. Sleeping all night, still improving slowly . More confident in going out with friends and driving long distances without accidental urine embarrassing discharged.

I came to see Antonia for a makeover smile everything was explained in my last appointment and a price plan that we went through together. My appointment lasted 2 hours was seen straight away with a lovely welcome as always, also her male nurse was very nice and understood everything that she needed to hand. she talked me through each procedure. Very professional I now have a natural looking makeover smile my front teeth weren’t that bad but needed cosmetic correcting and that’s what I have now.

The procedure was a BCC removal and required several stitches in my thigh, but I can honestly say that it was completely painless and I felt totally relaxed at all times. Dr Hickey was very good at communicating everything that he was doing before, during and after the procedure.
