The whole Newmedica process is very impressive. If you find visits to your local hospital depressing, with a thousand corridors and lost souls wandering aimlessly; with long wait times, crumbling buildings and crowded car parks, then you are in for a very pleasant surprise. The staff are incredibly friendly and the procedure is streamlined and well thought through. And the premises are in excellent order with impressive hygiene standards. Everything is immaculately clean. Operationally, whether attending as a private patient or on the NHS, you will receive excellent care. Having never experienced a private/public enterprise before, I have to say I’m impressed. My recommendation? If advised by your doctor or optician that you need eye surgery, then ask to be referred to Newmedica. I realise this revue reads like a publicity handout, but they are GOOD. I had cataract operations on both eyes, which went extremely well. Meanwhile - for a close relative and for different reasons - I have to visit our local hospital on a fairly regular basis. The endless waits, the shuffling of humanity lost in endless corridors, the general poor maintenance of hospital infrastructure… it’s never an uplifting experience. It’s true that you will find good and dedicated staff wherever you go, but some have to perform in adversity, while others don’t. Newmedica is a world apart. Take your pick.

Mr. Herzog listened attentively to my concerns regarding my back and promptly arranged an immediate X-ray, without the need for a separate appointment. He subsequently reviewed the X-ray results and carefully explained his findings, taking the time to answer all of my questions in clear, understandable terms. He then outlined the next steps, including an MRI and a follow-up consultation. I left my initial appointment feeling confident that my condition was being thoroughly investigated and that I had a clear understanding of the findings to date. I found Mr. Herzog to be highly professional and, most importantly, approachable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

It was such a breath of fresh air to have a doctor turn up to appointments actually having read your notes and so could offer something useful. At our previous clinic we had been told there weren’t really any other options but Ali seemed to have plenty of options for us to try which have been positive so far. To be honest even if we didn’t have a better outcome all we wanted was another option to try so we could at least say we’d tried everything. Ali is really professional but on a personal level as well and we felt as if he genuinely cared rather than just pushing us towards more ivf without addressing the root cause.

Following an informative appointment with Dr.Georgina Williams I opted to have an upper Blepharoplasty. The procedure went surprisingly quickly, I was comfortable throughout. My recovery was uneventful with excellent after care and after a day or two I was able to resume my normal daily activities. Given person centred approach and been looked after at every stage and if they were unable to provide a surgery or service I was treated with respect to ensure I fully understood the reasons. I had an appointment for GBS test on Monday bit disappointed really on the website it said we take 2 swabs also said we can book with someone to take the Sab, which I did, but on the appointment, I was only given tools to do it myself. As being heavy pregnant it's really difficult to do and main reason I went private, paid extra and travelled all the way so, someone will do it for me accurately ( if I had to take swab myself, i would have ordered home kit, reduced so much hazel / money/ time). .

I had my gallbladder removed my Mr Marzouk and have been very impressed by his skill and professionalism. He is not very communicative, offered little reassurance and did not speak to me at all in the theatre or in recovery which I found to be cold. In comparison the anaesthetist and his staff were incredible and I felt in safe hands.
