    Mr Simon Lambert

    Orthopaedic Surgeon

    5.0

    Verified

MR LAMBERT SAVED ME (Enrico's testimonial) My name is Enrico, I am a 25 year old who had been suffering from constant rear shoulder pain (right shoulder) since 19 years old. For years I had struggled with intense DEEP shoulder pain in the back of my shoulder. Everything had caused intense pain! Wearing jackets, pouches, rucksacks, running, weight lifting, swimming. As a young man I was troubled deeply by this and was in CONSTANT mental and physical Pain due to this. Over the 6 year span, I had done 4 Ultrasounds, 2 MRI's , 1 MR Arthrogram, 2 steroid injections, done countless physio sessions and visited an osteopath to NO AVAIL. I was told my shoulder was completely healthy, no sign of deterioration and I just needed to strengthen my rotator cuff. In 2024, aware that I will have to step up my treatments if I ever wanted to fix this, (before I saw Simon Lambert) I had booked a consultation with a well known and highly rated shoulder orthopaedic through Nuffield Health. He advised an MR arthrogram, which had come back with no evident damage. He had noted there was nothing wrong with the shoulder, declared I was hypermobile and sent me to physio. After months of reluctant physio (I had done physio since 19 and knew it wasnt the answer) I had booked an appointment with another orthopaedic consultant - again with almost perfect ratings on here. This individual had completely agreed with the initial consultation that there was nothing wrong and I was just hypermobile (they said I would eventually grow out of this). This however did not make sense to me as all my other joints felt completely ok. Feeling rather defeated I had carried on with my physio, feeling I would never get through this and have a normal painless shoulder I become hopeless. As things didnt improve the second orthopaedic had took my case to a South West regional surgeons meeting, explained my situation in an attempt to find a working solution with 15/16 other surgeons. ALL THE ORTHOPAEDICS HAD AGREED THAT THEY WOULD NOT OPERATE ON ME. I was too young to have a deteriorating shoulder and there was 'nothing' wrong with me that a surgery would repair. Plus many surgeons wouldn't go near a hypermobile shoulder. You can only imagine the impact this would have on a young man who just wanted to live a normal life. I was devastated to put it mildly. I did not give up, I had done further research and stumbled upon Mr Lambert. Having a lack of faith due to my previous experiences with this, I had studied Mr Lambert and his work before I had booked the initial consultation. I had studied his reviews and was fascinated by how sincere his client testimonials were, it seemed he was an individual who just wanted to help people get back to their normal lives. His mannerisms and knowledge in his youtube videos had amazed me and he seemed a true master in his craft. I booked the initial consultation. I cant put into words the contrast in compassion between Mr Lambert and the previous orthopaedics I had seen. Mr Lambert was patient, humble and kind. He had done a physical assessment of my shoulder in the consultation and reviewed the results of my previous scan. He put my mind at ease immediately, he understood how tough this journey was for me and could see my emotion. He noted that from my symptoms his experience had alluded that it was likely that there was some form of structural damage even though the scans didn't clearly point to that. He said the only way to know for sure was to perform an investigation surgery (arthroscopy) to find out. (To many a surgery was something to avoid however I was so determined to fix this that I was ecstatic to think we were one step closer to figuring this out!) We had therefore moved forward with the investigation surgery, Mr Lambert and his Anaesthetist (Dr Picard) were superb before and after the surgery. As this was my first surgery I was evidently very nervous and they had made me feel relaxed. Post surgery Mr Lambert had come into my recovery room and after making sure I was ok, disclosed the results of this surgery. I had indeed had a 7-11 o'clock rear labrum tear on my right shoulder. The shoulder capsule was also very very loose. He would need to perform a rear stabilisation surgery that consisted of a labrum repair and a tightening of the capsule also known as a capsular shift. I was over the moon to see an end in sight! A couple months later (April 2025) we did the surgery (went perfectly) and I am currently over 7 months into my recovery. It has been a slow process of physio but `I can now see a humongous difference to pre-surgery. I can finally wear jumpers and bags and can slowly get back into physical training, I have not had any flare ups in the last month and not in that constant deep pain! I still have a little way to go but I am so grateful that Mr Lambert took the chance to help me when so many had not. I am eternally grateful to this man. This man is not only an experienced professional but a true gentleman. I would choose him every time! Thank you so much Mr Lambert. You have helped me more than you could ever realise. Forever grateful Enrico

We had an amazing experience with our oral and maxillofacial surgeon consultant. He was exceptionally calm and explained every step of the procedure clearly, which made us feel comfortable throughout. He was also very detailed with the diagnosis, ensuring we fully understood the situation and the recommended treatment. After the procedure, he provided thorough after-care instructions and took the time to answer all our questions. He was very polite, highly trained, and truly professional in every way. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Highly recommended!

I have been seeing Rebecca for acupuncture treatment throughout my fertility journey over the last few years. Rebecca is an extremely caring and empathetic person who puts you at ease straight away. She is very knowledgeable about fertility - in addition to acupuncture treatment, she has also given me very useful advice about getting other tests carried out , the ivf process , supplements to support my fertility . Her treatment also helped eased my endometriosis pain. I am very grateful for all the support she has given me.

The Spire is a very clean and well equipt hospital but with limited parking. However, my last trip to the spire hartswood had an hours delay before I was seen, which isnt ideal. My thoughts on this is if Reform get their way and sell off NHS that private sector is no better equipt to deal with volume than NHS. Tjat daid onve seen I was treated by a lovely nurse Marianne who was very caring and jolly which made yhe appointment a very pmeasurable experience.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my blepharoplasty. I was extremely nervous about the process and was so scared it would change the way I looked, however I really shouldn’t have been. The care I received was second to none and my results have more than surpassed my expectations. I still look like me but the clock has been turned back a number of years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr McCormick. Thank you for giving me my confidence back.

My hip operation was successful and carried out by Mr Edward Gardner. His professionalism in he listening and explaining about the operation. After the operation Mr Gardner used a vacuum pump on my scar to heal / seal and keep the wound clean; this has worked really well. My scar has closed cleanly. I now feel more confident in my mobility and I have no worries in returning to have the other hip replaced in the future by Mr Gardner.

I walked up 12 floors as there were no lifts available.Only 14% capacity.I got to the Thames view suite via the cardiac lift because a cardiac unit staff member took pity on me and put me into lift 14 to complete my Access Path to the private patients unit. What on earth is going on and why does the lift maintenance contract not have a 50% minimum functionality profile as a term for service?

My First and I must admit it was a great experience. For once i didn't have to wait for more than 10 mins to be seen and secondly Dr Rodrigues was really good spend about 45 mins going through everything no rushing no pressure explaining everything in English instead of Dr lingo. I would highly recommend anyone if they can afford it to go private and DR Rodrigues is great.

At my initial appointment Dr Mayhead listened and questioned my ailments and decided on the course of exploratory procedures. These were more thorough than I have had in the past. As a result he has diagnosed a condition that had not been diagnosed previously. The procedures were carried out with great care and I was made to feel very comfortable throughout.

The Ali do Wing reception staff were friendly enough, but I had the impression that they were all rather “busy”. However, Dr Ganan was super, and made me feel that he had all the time in the world for me. He explained exactly what course of action he wanted to follow, in conjunction with the surgical team, and I look forward to a full recovery.
