I came for acupuncture with Ben with an extremely painful lower right leg. It hurt hugely to drive, walk or sleep. It was also affecting me socially as I couldn't go for walks with friends or grandchildren without medication and, even then, only a short distance. I was very demoralised as I'm an active person and worried about my future. Improvement was not instant but slowly started to happen. Ben was very patient and empathetic to my needs. He tried many different methods, unearthing that there were 2 underlying causes to the pain. He never tried to minimise my ultimate goal to walk easily. Since one origin was my lower back, I also started swimming to help maintain that. This is helpful and ongoing. Now, I am able to walk a distance and lead a normal life. I am so profoundly grateful to Ben for his ultimate skill, perseverance and dedication to his craft.

I can’t recommend Mr Karoshi enough. After 18 months of going back and forwards and a mis diagnosis that nearly ended in a drastic surgery that wasn’t needed, I finally have answers and a step in the right direction. Mr Karoshi is very thorough and methodical in his approach, in two and a half weeks I had had the relevant imaging and a very likely cause of my symptoms. He provides the space to listen and discuss. He gives you every confidence and reassurance. He has a gentle but confident manner and I would not hesitate to have further care under him or to recommend him to friends and family. In the world of women’s health, where it can feel you are dismissed or not investigated properly, my experience with Mr Karoshi has been the complete opposite and he has helped to restore my faith- he is worth his weight in gold!

I attended HSSH for a hip examination under anaesthetic with a local anaesthetic injection with Professor Griffin. I cannot fault the administration in the run up to the procedure, or the care and attention that I had before, during and after. All the of staff, from the reception team to the team involved in the procedure itself - Prof Griffin, Dr Kazmi (anaesthetist), Rebecca (physio), Remmi (nurse) + all the theatre staff, made it efficient and comfortable. They also accommodated my request to stay a little longer than was necessary, until my partner could get to the hospital to escort me home until, which was much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use HSSH again.

I have had 3 procedures with Ms. Zweifel, the latest of which was in Theatre via local anaesthetic. Ms. Zweifel & all her Theatre team were very professional & the atmosphere in Theatre was very calm, which was very reassuring. At every stage of the procedure I was told by Ms. Zweifel what was happening, & everyone in Theatre was very kind, which helped so much as a procedure in Theatre under local anaesthetic can be very daunting. Ms. Zweifel is very professional, calm & she an excellent 'bedside manor', which I feel is so very important, I would thoroughly recommend Ms. Zweifel.

Very pleased to be offered range of optional conservative treatments instead of rushing to immediate intervention. Appropriate treatment by medication and physio which cured issue effectively with minimal fuss. Overall, a comforting and reassuring experience.

Once inside the building I was greeted promptly by the receptionist who was approachable and friendly. Wait time was a little longer than expected but staff did advise of this. Otherwise a very positive consultation experience. Being new to the hospital site, it wasn’t easy to locate SPH as signage tailed away aster the first o two. Car parking was poor - no spaces available on arrival and no indication given of alternatives.

I had full knee replacement surgery. I am just coming up to four months post op and have excellent movement/mobility already. For the first time in years, I can run for a bus, do a full Qiqong class, do lunges and not think about pain. I did not find the process particularly painful although I suffered bad sleep deprivation for quite a while. All worth it! I’m approaching winter without fear of pain.
