⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly blown away by this service I’m nearly 80 now, and I can’t even count how many doctor visits I’ve had in my life, but MyDoctor by Northern Health honestly left me a bit blown away. I wasn’t expecting much — you get used to being rushed through at my age — but I came off the call feeling like someone had finally taken the time to actually explain my own health to me. It felt different from the moment it started. No rushing, no talking over me, no making me feel like I was being dramatic. Just calm, proper care. I felt listened to in a way I haven’t in years. I actually felt like… well, like a person again, not someone they’re trying to hurry out the door. For the first time I understand what’s been setting things off, and what I need to do next time before it all gets too much. That alone is worth gold to me. I’ve been muddling along for years without this clarity. I’m honestly amazed. At my age you don’t expect to be surprised by much anymore, but this really did it. I’ll absolutely be using MyDoctor again — I wish I’d found it sooner.

The team at Newmedica from the receptionists to the optometrists, nurses and Mr Anjari my consultant were so welcoming and made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. I was quite anxious about having cataract surgery, but the team made me feel relaxed each time I visited. Mr Anjari was very reassuring and spent time helping me decide which lenses were right for me. The surgery was quick, and painless - so efficient., I had no need to worry about going back for the second one. The aftercare was excellent too with a phone check up and another thorough appointment. Mr Anjari helped me choose Galaxy lenses … I can’t believe how clearly I can see near and far ! It is nothing short of miraculous after living in a blur for years! I am now able to read the smallest print yet look across a field and identify birds in the trees. I’ll be forever thankful to Mr Anjari and his team for the transformation of my sight.

Mr Withey was recommended to me by a very experienced beauty therapist. I consulted him privately following a bad fall against a door frame which caused me to cut a deep gash above my eye. Following emergency stitching at A&E at my local NHS hospital I was left with thick and unsightly scarring on my face and unable to use one side of my facial muscle. My Withey performed surgery - finding chips of paint buried in the wound. After normal initial bruising, the wound healed very quickly and the scarring has almost vanished. 6 months later the nerves have regrown and my facial movement is normal again. I found both Mr Withey and his assistant Aleks to be extremely professional, courteous, efficient and I cannot praise his work highly enough. I would trust him to perform surgery again in the future should it ever be needed.

I have been a client of the surgery for many years going back to when Johnathan Richardson set up the practice just off Wilson's Corner. I continued to use the surgery when premises were established in Shenfield. It was when I experienced heart problems some 5 years ago that I found Dr. Athreya to be particularly helpful. He offered his private cell phone number should I need help or advice at this difficult time prior to surgery. This literally proved a lifeline. I saw Dr. Athreya on 4th December this year and as usual he was able to diagnose the problem and prescribe a treatment plan. Dr Athreya is an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner and a credit to the team at EPD. He puts patients at ease and is interested in their experiences. I was sorry to hear he was leaving for I feel sure he will be sorely missed.

I saw Mr Wu for my carpal tunnel syndrome which I had had for many years. I was just ignoring it as I didn’t want surgery. When I first saw him he was so professional and reassuring. I had my nerve conduction tests done and it demonstrated moderate carpal tunnel syndrome. I then assumed I could leave well alone and he very kindly and assertively said I should have surgery because if I left it the surgery might not be so successful. I had endoscopic surgery under a local block. The whole surgical experience was amazing. His whole theatre team were kind and efficient. My symptoms were cured immediately and I had my first good nights sleep for years. At 6 weeks the hand has healed so well and I’m even back to playing golf. Dr Margarita was very knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely recommend coming to the Lantern Clinic. I felt listened too and she emphasised as a woman with my issues. I had plenty of time to chat and didn’t feel rushed,. Dr Margarita devised a plan for me to follow and recommended a gold standard brand of supplements I should start. I am booked in for a follow up appointment in several weeks time, to discuss how my treatment plan went and if I saw improvements.

Dr Blackmore was amazing. Truly made me feel so at ease. Constantly asked how I was and If I'm comfortable. Just made such an anxious experience as painless as can be. She really is such a lovely, calm presence and really made me feel comfortable. She asked me questions and spoke to distract me. She also explained exactly what she was doing and when I would feel pain etc.. really walked me through the procedure. Really happy that I had Dr Blackmore as my doctor.

I was met by a nurse who took care of me throughout and dealt out the eye drops prior to the operation. The surgeon introduced himself to me and was reassuring before and during the op. He was aware my eye was stinging from the drops and waited until further numbing drops took effect before operating. He also kept reassuring me whilst dealing with the cataract.
