I recommend Dr Shalni in the strongest terms to mothers and families looking for private care at UCLH. Shalini is passionate about obstetrics, her patients and practising medicine. It is a great privilege to be cared for by a clinician at the top of her field, who clearly cares deeply about her patients. We opted for private care at UCLH because we wanted the birth experience to be as positive as possible. As a medically uncomplicated patient I felt that I may not receive much attention or time on an overstretched NHS ward. I also had some anxieties around birth (as a healthcare professional myself) and felt reassured to be receiving consultant-led care. from Shalini, a professional at the top her field and with whom I was able to build a trusting relationship. Shalini provided exceptional care from 32 weeks pregnancy and after delivery. She got to know me and my partner, and understood our priorities and concerns. I had previously found it hard to make decisions around birth. Shalini provided us with evidence, data and her experience - this empowered us to make the decision that was right for us. She spent a lot of time with us and brought great care, empathy and kindness to her practice, as well as her excellent clinical skills. When we had questions, fears or anxieties Shalini was able to reassure us, both with her kindness and her experience and expertise. The care she provides is holistic and individualised - she advocated for me in many ways and empowered me to advocate for myself too. We had an elective caesarean at 39 weeks. The surgery was pain free and crucially for me, I felt confident and safe - something that was not natural for me in approaching birth. Shalini was close at hand to care for us before and afterwards. I made an excellent recovery and have healed extremely well.

Mr Arun Sahai

In June 2025 my wife's Bladder Diverticulum effectively perforated. She was in severe pain, initially being cared for at the PRUH in Farnborough where she was kept for almost 3 weeks. During that time, the Urology team were unable to correctly treat her perforation thinking that it had healed when it had not. This resulted in her contracting Sepsis and needing a catheter for almost 5 months. We sought further help privately, which is when we were introduced to Mr Arun Sahai. He was a breath of fresh air. He carefully and actively listened to exactly what my wife had been through over the previous few months (which included contracting Sepsis in hospital). He immediately put both herself and me at ease and gave us the confidence he would be able to fix her. Mr Sahai operated on her and it went perfectly, with the diverticulum being successfully removed. She is now catheter free and living a normal life. This is all down to Mr Sahai. He essentially saved her life and has enabled us to get our lives back on track. We cannot thank him enough and recommend him extremely highly, he is a master in his field. He also has a calm and informal bedside manner, explains things in plain English and is extremely approachable.

I feel the signs to tell you where to go could be clearer my mobility is not good had quite a long walk to get inside the building. My ultrasound scan was carried out with such speed I felt it was rushed, I had to ask for white paper roll to protect my clothes from being wet from the gel ,while the scan was being carried out the nurse sat behind the consultant on his chair ! I feel she should have been at the bottom of the couch standing at my feet reassuring me & asking if I was comfortable.kingsbridge give “an excellent 1st class experience re procedures” I’m afraid in my appointment this was not the case , over the years i have had many experiences with ultrasound and this was the worst , i could not have been on the couch anymore than 4 or 5 minutes very disappointing.

I was overwhelmed by surprise that Dr Kelly was able to clear up my ear infections , which I had in both ears for 22monthsin one visit!. Considering I had nine previous visits with another consultant at Kingsbridge hospital outpatients without success after the 9visits the consultant referred me to Dr Andrew Kelly.After 22months I was in the depth of despair as my hearing was deeply affected by the infections and my audiologist struggled to try and improve my hearing by adjusting the aid , my left ear by the way I gave up wearing at the start of my infections as I have a 90% hearing loss in that ear, so I completely dependent on the hearing aid in the right ear. I am completely indebted to Dr Kelly for helping me get over these infections , which blighted my life.

My recent visit was positive as always, everyone is always warm and welcoming from the moment you step into the door. The office is clean and inviting and always decorated according to the season’s festive calendar, which always a nice touch. I admired the snowflakes decal on the windows giving it a cosy festive feel and fairy lights as I was getting my treatment! I have been seeing Lil for years now and she is absolutely amazing, I feel like a different person when I walk out the practice, in the best way possible. Also, if something else is bothering me she always makes time to take a look and do the necessary adjustments or advise on what exercises to do, or see a GP!

I had complete trust in Dr Eysenck from the first time I met him at Lewisham hospital. He explained everything about my heart condition, atrial fibrillation, and the course of treatment recommended to me, after years of medications that eventually failed me, was an ablation that he carried out for me on 12 Dec 2025 at Brompton hospital, he gave me confidence and I believe my life of multiple hospital admissions with AF is over. I cannot explain my gratitude enough, and his bedside manner is 2nd to none, a thoroughly lovely and professional man, with a great team alongside him. Thank you Dr Eysenck.

I recently had a virtual consultation with Dr Mahto in the wake of having a REMS scan. Dr Mahto was flexible (I had technical issues!), friendly, professional and informative. She explained the results to me in detail, outlined the consequences of the diagnosis and suggested a clear treatment plan. She wrote a helpful report which she sent to my GP within a few days, and also made an urgent referral on my behalf. Her PA, Hannah has responded to any email or telephone queries almost immediately. The overall care provided has been exceptional, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I had an urgent issue with my back and Ms. Aamina Saeed was able to book me in right away. She was incredibly professional and attentive from the moment I arrived. Her massage, cupping, and use of the power gun were all excellent, and she immediately understood where my trigger points were without me having to explain much. I felt truly cared for and in very capable hands. She is efficient, skilled, and highly knowledgeable. I’m very grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of physiotherapy.

Very good overall. Minor gripes only would be the limited parking, limited capacity in waiting areas and that some seating is too low to meet the needs of hip / knee patients . The roll out of the new call centre facility makes for a patchy experience at times and it’s concerning that online accounts fail to show all patient appointments - even with the consultants - which may lead to confusion and potential missed appointments. Work in progress and will surely iron out in time.

The New Vic --- now known as the 'BUPA New Victoria' --- is a smallish but excellent private hospital situated just off the A3 between Wimbledon and Kingston. It has recently been enlarged and its large Reception is now most welcoming. So far as I know, the rooms are all of the ground floor and overlook well-maintained gardens. Surgical procedures that my family and I have had at the New Vic over the last thirty years have all been trouble-free and successful.
