When I went to see Mr Paul Kirkland on 7th Oct about a build up of wax in both my ears, leading to deafness and deep pain in my left ear, I thought he would remove the wax in both ears to see if there was any underlying issues. After clearing away the wax my left ear, he found an underlying infection which was causing the pain and when I asked if he was going to clear the wax from my right ear, he said he needed to deal with the issue in my left ear first, which seemed odd, since how could he know if there wasn't a similar issue in my right ear? At no point did he even examine my right ear. He then wrote me a prescription for some steroid drops for my left ear. Two days later, my right ear became completely blocked and I lost hearing in that ear. I managed to get an appointment with my GP on Friday 10th Oct. I told her what had happened and that I was concerned, that I would get the same deep pain in my right ear, due to the blockage of wax in my right ear. My GP proscribed Amoxicillin, in case there was an underlying infection, but she couldn't see under the wax to know if there was an underlying infection or not. Also, my GP was not equipped to remove the ear wax. It is now 12th Oct and for the past two days I have been experiencing pain in my right ear every time I eat. Biting down generates pain at the top of the jaw. Since Specsavers offers a service to clear the wax in both ears in a half hour appointment, I fail to see why Mr Kirkland couldn't have done the same and left me with a pain free weekend. Instead he told me to make a second appointment two weeks away!

I have just had my 6-week follow up appointment with Mr. Kalra and happy to report that my arthritic pain has now gone.. I am continuing with my recovery programme and am sure over the subsequent 6 weeks I will have returned to full mobility thanks to Mr. Kalras clinical expertise.

I was fast tracked to ENT with A symmetrical Tonsils. Mr Dhanasekar was excellent. He gave me a thorough examination and explained I needed to have a Tonsillectomy. Everything moved swiftly and efficiently from the first consultation through to the pre op and finally the operation itself. Mr Dhanasekar explained fully what was going to happen and even travelled to Grimsby the day after my operation to check on my progress. He updated me on the findings of the MRI and Ct scan which put my mind at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon and I can’t praise Mr Dhanasekar highly enough. He was wonderful throughout.

An excellent experience considering getting a tooth extraction . All of the staff were great . Efficient and caring and put me at ease . The extraction was tricky but confidently and expertly handled by Fiona and her assistant . I was provided with good instructions and medications for the aftercare and had no problems . I did have to wait longer than I wanted to get an appointment but it was holiday season and a specialist appointment . Well worth it and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.,

The team at reception are always polite, friendly and welcoming and the nurses who are in the room with me during my examinations are empathic and kind. Mr Ahmed is always professional but so personable and is super efficient with making and communicating my appts and results.

There was no waiting time and all the Staff were extremely helpful and reassuring to help me stay calm prior to my operation. Post operation the Staff gave me all the eye drops needed and detailed instructions on how to proceed over the coming weeks. I was also given all contact numbers in case I had any questions or worries.
