My entire treatment plan and visits have all gone extremely smoothly. I suppose the first point is that the pain I had prior to the operation is now gone, so that has been a huge success. The recovery has also been remarkably straight forward to this point. From my first visit to the latest post-op visit, I have found Mr Stafford to be very clear and precise with all the details of my injury and options to treat it. There was no pressure on what option to choose, the facts were simply given to me and the prognosis for each treatment explained. The booklet provided gives a very detailed and comforting explanation of all that was involved, including the full journey back to recovery in the future. I am very pleased with my choices and very grateful to Mr Stafford for the treatment and consultations during this process. Mr Stafford is obviously very skilled in his work and this, along with the many successful procedures he has completed gave me full confidence to proceed with the successful arthroscopy.

I was extremely anxious about having my gallbladder removed, but he was so patient, understanding, and reassuring every step of the way. My 7 year old daughter had her one hour, online assessment with Gemma and it went beautifully. After lots of build up and anxiety, Gemma put her at ease immediately and was really engaging. From what I heard, it just felt like a nice chat with some interesting questions that kept her engaged. My daughter was worried it would feel like a test but that wasn't how it felt at all. Gemma seemed to get a good understanding from the call and seems confident about next steps so i was relieved too. Thanks Gemma!

We had an excellent experience at the private clinic with Dr. Andrew, pediatrician. He was extremely attentive, calm, and patient with my little boy, explaining everything clearly and giving us helpful advice. You can tell he truly loves children and is passionate about his work. The consultation was thorough, and the atmosphere in the clinic was pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend him to any parents looking for a professional and compassionate pediatrician!

The Spire has excellent facilities (car parking, waiting area, consulting rooms etc) and the reception staff are very attentive and helpful. The “formal check in” using an iPad is an unnecessary hurdle for patients to negotiate. The earlier system of just checking in with the receptionist was much better. My appointment with Dr. Balerdi was on time and a very useful session. Re. Dr. Balerdi himself, my very postive comments are in an earlier section.

Downstairs work being done to the building. Noisy and lots of stuff/materials over the waiting room floor. I found the whole experience poor considering this is a private paying surgery. I understand the work needs to be done, however for a patient it is not ideal by a long shot. Not a relaxing atmosphere or acceptable. This is the second time I have been and the same building work being done.

Private care at the Western Eye Hospital

For private treatment it was very disappointing. The overall building and facilities were shabby and rundown. There was no reception or anyone to direct me as where to go. If your Trust is to offer private treatment, it has to be more professional and provide better quality facilities otherwise it is taking money under false pretences. It is not want private treatment should be.

Initially I went to the London clinic hospital, but was redirected to the correct building.. Again, slight confusion for me in Filling in the registration form, which I then failed to hand to the consultant. I was again not sure where to wait as clinic D and E are on the same floor. This was all resolved by having an excellent interview with my chosen consultant

I had an appointment with Dr Reza. He has been treating me for a keloid on my ear. I would recommend him very highly. He is an excellent doctor. He listens to you and understand you. He is very understanding, professional and very compassionate and kind. I would highly recommend him to anyone to be treated by him. He is very good at his profession.
