Miss Rosanna Ching is a highly trained and experienced Consultant Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon based in Oxford, offering specialist care for both children and adults for reconstructive plastic surgery, facial palsy and craniofacial conditions.
Miss Ching is one of only a handful of Plastic Surgeons in the country who undertakes complex craniofacial reconstructive surgery for children, based in the internationally-renowned Oxford Craniofacial Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. She is a core member of the Oxford Facial Palsy Clinic, where she leads multidisciplinary care for patients of all ages experiencing facial paralysis. Her practice also includes reconstructive surgery for skin cancer and troublesome skin lesions for patients across Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Miss Ching graduated with honours from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2007 and undertook her early medical and surgical training in Yorkshire and Cambridge. She gained international clinical experience in New Zealand and undertook laboratory research into nerve regeneration in Sweden. She completed her higher Plastic Surgery training in the North East of England and is on the GMC’s specialist register for Plastic Surgery. During her final training year, she completed a highly specialised Craniofacial Surgery fellowship in Oxford, leading to a promotion in 2021 to her current consultant role.
Miss Ching is active in clinical research and regularly publishes and presents her work in international surgical forums, with a focus on nerve repair and craniofacial reconstruction.

I found the consultation was most useful in clearly explaining the basic technicalities of my problem, the options for remedial actions and how the treatment would be carried out. She was very easy to talk to.
Lovely appointment - very informative and happy to answer any questions. Appointment did not feel rushed like other appointments I’ve had with other consultants. Very good experience overall
I recently had an appointment with Miss Ching and found her to be extremely helpful and professional. She took the time to clearly explain my situation with Bell’s palsy. We discussed the different options available to me moving forward, including further investigations and potential treatment approaches. I felt listened to throughout the consultation, and she made sure all of my questions were answered in a clear and reassuring way. I would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with similar issues.
